The fireball was seen streaking across the sky in the afternoon of Tuesday, November 14th, in the western area of San Juan, at 7.30 pm. Astronomer said it was a meteor coming from the meteor cluster known as the Taurides, although an admittedly large specimen.

The event surprised several inhabitants of the city.

"I was in Rivadavia at the corner of Cabot and Paula streets, when I saw it", said Florencia Martรญn, a reader of Diario La Provincia, who added that she was surprised by the speed at which the object was falling and wondered where it may have landed.

Another witness, Estela Castro, confirmed having seen the same fireball "following that exact description and at the same time".
