Trump's presidency and the 'revolution' it promised to be is, according to some, 'dead in the water'. Facing implacable opposition to implementing his policies from within the media, the courts, the bureaucracy, and likely also his own administration, unless something fundamentally changes, Trump is a 'lame-duck president' with a full term still to go.

This week on Behind the Headlines, we're analyzing recent events in Trumpland, including the firing of General Flynn and Trump's ongoing war with the media, with a view to understanding the largely hidden structural forces that make it so hard for American presidents to enact their campaign promises.

Bear in mind that 1986 when R Regan was President is the time of the Chernobyl catastrophe. IF this shadow government began when the world experienced this nuclear scare, this power group would have been strongly supported as a protection group. Once established outside the normal government, this power group would have acquired a hidden agenda which I suspect was disabling Russia. I suspect that this agenda ruled supreme using the fear of Chernobyl UNTIL 2012 when (dec 2011) Japan experienced what has now been admitted to be 10x worse than Chernobyl, Fukushima. This upset the power group plans to disable Russia and the fall back Plan B was begun comprising the Middle East Wars, TIME TO STOP.

Remember that strong opposition to the loony Bush? How he was described as The Emperor's New Clothes? Yet the Bush war machine of hidden power drove on and on. "Trump powerless against the Deep State" does not require a question mark. As POTUS (Puppet Of The Ultra State), Trump will almost certainly be quietly reminded of his proper place in the Swamp or (and this is less likely) he will face impeachment (name any reason at all) and possibly face charges of sedition.

In the view of the Ultra (Deep) State, America is Great Already, so why change anything? Exactly what Obama learned during his eight years as POTUS.

Laura Bush, and certainly Clinton before him, was a willing player. The jury's still out on Obama. He was drawn into the Libya conflict by his hawkish advisors but he did try to resist US ground involvement in Syria. He was not as willing to go along with Clinton and her advisors (Nuland, Powers) as Bush who willingly and enthusiastically partnered with Cheney. To what extent Obama personally approved of the 60,000 bombs he dumped on people is, as yet, unclear. We need to see more records. But whether willing or not, Obama was weak and unprincipled, a matter that's also clear from his dealings (not his pontificating) in regards to racial issues.
