At least 21 people were killed when a suicide car bomb went off near the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, Al Jazeera reported Monday citing security sources.

Over 30 people sustained injuries in the blast, according to the broadcaster. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

This attack comes only a day after a suicide bomber killed at least 14 civilians near a security checkpoint in Northern Baghdad.
