Secret History
The author of a controversial new book claims a comet struck the Earth nearly 13,000 years ago and wiped out a highly advanced ancient civilisation.
When Graham Hancock wrote Fingerprints of the Gods, it was derided by academics but became a commercial sensation.
He argued an ancient culture in Antarctica was obliterated - but subjects such as astronomy and mathematics were passed to later civilisations.
Despite selling an estimated 3m copies, a BBC Horizon programme sought to demolish his theory.
Paul V Heinrich, a US geologist, wrote: "Rather than stumbling upon an archaeological mystery, he has merely created one."
Now, 20 years later, he is set to publish a 500-page sequel - Magicians of the Gods - that he believes will prove his critics wrong.
Citing scientific and archaeological research, Hancock, a former journalist, told the Sunday Times: "In 1995, I wrote a book about all the clues — the fingerprints — that pointed to the existence of this lost civilisation.
"But what I lacked was a smoking gun. Now we have it.
"A series of papers in geophysics and geological journals have been bringing forward evidence that the Earth was indeed hit by a comet 12,800 years ago, which is exactly what I proposed in my book."
Hancock argues that the existence of the comet has been masked because it struck ice and did not leave a crater.
But he acknowledges that many will ridicule his new book, which is to be published in September.

...and a comet is shortly to wipe out a highly retarded modern civilisation when smashing into Earth in the near future.
Look to the South at dusk....

Er this is hardly new, he is simply reguritating the Younger Dryas Impact theory which goes back some time. However the evidence for this impact which is to me very strong took place in North America, in the Great Lakes area. It would have had little impact on Antarctica in the southern hemisphere except for a 1000 year or so cooling period which took the Earth back almost to the glaciation conditions it had just emerged from. The prospects for civilization in the frozen antarctic were limited before and since this event to a few global warmistas looking for ice cores.
I still dont know if Graham Hancock is really passionate about his research or is just doing it for the money, maybe both, but it was his documentary "Quest for the Lost Civilization" that showed me that things dont have to be necessarily like they are thaught in school.
I will never forget the first time i saw Yonaguni underwater structures...
But what is missing in Graham work is the concept of densities, dont know if by choice or because of ignorance.
The work of an "alternative historian" will always be incomplete without incorporating the knowledge about densities on his research and on this day there is no excuse for such...
I believe that is what Hancock is desperately trying to avoid.
In late 2015 Graham Hancock will bring out his new book, ‘Magicians of the Gods’, the sequel to his worldwide bestseller ‘Fingerprints of the Gods’. In this lecture, recorded in March 2014 for Alternatives London at Saint James’s Church in Piccadilly, he reviews his past work and shares some of the research for the new book.

and sometimes off the wall. I won't be buying his book, but I do support anything that will hep dispel the current archaeological 'linear advancement' THEORY. The dates are constantly being pushed back on 'civilization'.
But something big certainly happened in the distant past to wipe out knowledge because the technology to build underwater stone monoliths hasn't yet been discovered - again. So it appears one of two things has occurred. 1. The oceans have risen dramatically or 2. The ancient people who built Yonaguni and those pyramids off the coast of Cuba could hold their breath a long time! Half of the Sphinx was under water ....(Oh no, no, no that's wind erosion - just like the grand canyon) and there hasn't been water in the Giza Plateau for 12000 yrs. And there will always be Puma Punka - Mainstream archaeology loves to point at Kim Kardashian every time it's brought up.
Hancock is an interesting guy. He's not a quack, but I think he should join forces with the likes of Dr. Semir Osmanagic. Perhaps it's not as lucrative, but certainly rewarding in terms of re-writing history.

They just keep doing that. Probably what started the dark ages too..... and brought the plague, might have killed off the dinosaurs as well.
