"Germs are not aware that they will be burned alive or buried deep in the ground along with the human body whose death they are causing."Applied to the topic of this essay, the saying is not just a metaphor; it is deeply and frighteningly accurate. Imagine a world that believes in global warming that is hit by the sudden onset of an ice-age. Studies reveal that ice ages are probably preceded by periods of freak weather patterns (check) hot spots and cold spots (check) torrential, localized rains and flooding (check) increased comet dust in the atmosphere (check), increased volcanism (check) a series of particularly cold and harsh winters (check) interspersed with localized heatwaves and drought (check); and then, finally, the watershed winter comes when the increased heating from within the planet itself (evidenced by the increasing volcanism) and its concomitant increased evaporation of the seas, combines with the cooled and lowered upper atmosphere, and the snow begins to fall and fall... and fall... and fall. Convert the extraordinary rains that have fallen in parts of the upper northern hemisphere in the past few years to snow volumes, and you can easily see that entire regions could be quickly buried under many meters of snow that, assuming that the albedo effect does not rapidly take over and prevent the snow from melting, by the time it did melt, multiplied millions of living things - including people - would have perished, buried along with the pathological leaders they have erroneously believed had their best interests at heart.
Assuming that the home countries of the leading scientists issuing the most recent scientific fraud, the new IPCC Report on Climate Change, are not among those buried in the ice of the rapidly descending ice-age, what do you think is going to happen to them in the areas that do not get buried under a kilometer or two of ice? I don't know about you, but it's not a pretty picture to contemplate. These idiots are not only playing with the lives of the entire population of this planet, they are gambling with their own, and they don't even have a pair in their hand.

The Disgraceful Episode Of Lysenkoism Brings Us Global Warming Theory
The V.I. Lenin Academy of Agricultural Sciences announced on August 7, 1948 that thenceforth Lysenkoism would be taught as the only correct theory. All Soviet scientists were required to denounce any work that contradicted Lysenkoism. Ultimately, Soviet geneticists resisting Lysenkoism were imprisoned and even executed. Lysenkoism was abandoned for the correct modern science of Mendelian genetics only as late as 1964.I never thought I would find myself on the same side with the conservative Republican media that lionized that cretin George W. This same practice of Lysenkoism has long been under way in western science in regard to the politically correct theory of man caused, catastrophic, global warming. That theory serves the political fashions of the day in promoting vastly increased government powers and control over the private economy. Advocates of the theory are lionized in the dominant Democrat party controlled media in the U.S., and in leftist controlled media in other countries. Critics of the theory are denounced as "deniers," and even still bourgeois fascists, with their motives impugned.

The editors of the once respected journals of Science and Nature have abandoned science for Lysenkoism on this issue as well. They have become as political as the editorial pages of the New York Times. They claim their published papers are peer reviewed, but those reviews are conducted on the friends and family plan when it comes to the subject of anthropogenic catastrophic global warming. There can be no peer review at all when authors refuse to release their data and computer codes for public inspection and attempted reconstruction of reported results by other scientists. They have been forced to backtrack on recent publications relying on novel, dubious, statistical methodologies not in accordance with established methodologies of complex statistical analysis.
Formerly respected scientific bodies in the U.S. and other western countries have been commandeered by political activist Lysenkoists seizing leadership positions. They then proceed with politically correct pronouncements on the issue of anthropogenic catastrophic global warming heedless of the views of the membership of actual scientists. Most of what you see and hear from alarmists regarding global warming can be most accurately described as play acting on the meme of settled science. ...

As I mentioned at the beginning, what is going to happen if, within a year or two, it becomes obvious to even a second grader that this is worse than junk science - it is politically motivated disinformation? What is going to happen to these people who have gone out on this limb and are busily sawing it off with every word they utter? As the tabloid-style Daily Mail reported last year:

Yeah, I guess they are worried because, unless they are deaf, dumb and blind, they are aware that they are lying through their teeth. On the other hand, in the time of the domination of Lysenko, under Lysenko's admonitions and with Stalin's approval, many geneticists were executed (including Isaak Agol, Solomon Levit, Grigorii Levitskii, Georgii Karpechenko and Georgii Nadson) or sent to labor camps. The famous Soviet geneticist Nikolai Vavilov was arrested in 1940 and died in prison in 1943. In 1948, genetics was officially declared "a bourgeois pseudoscience"; all geneticists were fired from their jobs (some were also arrested), and all genetic research was discontinued. That should give us all pause.
Meanwhile, it's obviously not just the fault of the Lysenkoist scientists that are assigned to create and propagate this junk science; the mass media has an important role as well. Columnist Lisa O'Carroll published a piece in the UK Guardian yesterday about dissident/iconoclast journalist (and general pain in the backside of the ruling elite) Seymour Hersh, in which he is quoted as saying:
"Our job is to find out ourselves, our job is not just to say 'here's a debate'; our job is to go beyond the debate and find out who's right and who's wrong about issues. That doesn't happen enough. It costs money, it costs time, it jeopardises, it raises risks. There are some people - the New York Times still has investigative journalists but they do much more of carrying water for the president than I ever thought they would ... it's like you don't dare be an outsider any more..."He's talking about somewhat different issues in his article (well worth reading) but the point is the same in science as in journalism: "[they] lie about everything, lying has become the staple."

In the case of the global warming lie, I think that Mother Nature may expose the liars sooner rather than later and, again, that horrifies me because I study history. Historically speaking, there is no good outcome here, especially for the liars. As Ferrara wrote in the article cited above:

It represented a serious failure of the early Soviet leadership to find real solutions to agricultural problems, throwing their support behind a charlatan at the expense of many human lives. Murderous recent winters in Europe are killing as well belief in alarmist global warming on the continent. University of Oklahoma Professor and geophysicist David Deming reported in a recent column:"The United Kingdom had the coldest March weather in 50 years, and there were more than a thousand record low temperatures in the United States. The Irish meteorological office reported that March "temperatures were the lowest on record nearly everywhere." Spring snowfall in Europe was also high. In Moscow, the snow depth was the highest in 134 years of observation. In Kiev, authorities had to bring in military vehicles to clear snow from the streets."In the Northern Hemisphere, Deming adds, "Snow cover last December was the greatest since satellite monitoring began in 1966." That reflects similarly bitter cold winters in North America as well. Despite claims by global warming Lysenkoists that soon children "won't know what snow is," on February 6, 2010, a blizzard covered the northeastern U.S. with 20 to 35 inches of snow. Three days later another 10 to 20 inches were added. ...
A tip off regarding reality should have been apparent from the dodgy propaganda involved in changing the labeling of the problem from "global warming" to "climate change."...
Another tip off should have been the effective admission by global warming alarmists that they cannot defend their position in public debate. The day the theory of anthropogenic catastrophic global warming died can be dated from the time that one leading alarmist was foolish enough to debate James Taylor of the Heartland Institute, a video of which can be found on the Heartland website at Heartland.org.
Still another tip off should have been the practice of the alarmist new Lysenkoists to respond to dissenting science with ad hominem attacks. That apparently reflects poor public schooling that never taught that an ad hominem attack is a logical fallacy, as Aristotle taught more than 2,000 years ago.
My, how western science has fallen.

He was removed from his post as director of the Institute of Genetics at the Academy of Sciences. An expert commission was sent to investigate records kept at Lysenko's experimental farm. A few months later, a devastating critique of Lysenko was made public. Lysenko died in 1976.

Both of the above are examples of what can - and does - happen when the lowest common-denominator of a population finally has enough and rises up en masse under the leadership of a rapacious psychopath (or gang of psychopaths) with a lust for raw power.
One of the means of control of large masses of people used by all totalitarian regimes down through history has been to destroy the intelligentsia - the educated classes. (This can be done either by killing them, or, in the case of the U.S. at present, simply downgrade the education system until there is no one left who can think). When Hitler invaded Poland, he was quite forthcoming about this being a necessity. The Germans considered the Poles to be an inferior race as they did other Slavic nations. So, according to the plan, the Poles were to be sorted according to strictly racist criteria. Those Poles with German ancestry were to be reclassified as ethnic Germans. The transformation of Poland into a German province was to be carried out over a short period of twenty-five or thirty years. Hence, no mercy was to be shown to this population. And, to guarantee the success of this fast despoliation, the intelligentsia was to be liquidated. "It sounds cruel, " Hitler reportedly told Hans Frank, "but such is the law of life."
For a long time now I have been shocked at just how incredibly backwards our Science of today is because of all the great ideas that have been quashed by governments and religions in the interests of control of the masses and that has led to the dire state of our world and so-called 'civilization'.

Science took a serious wrong turn in the middle of the nineteenth century, about the time Darwin published his Origin of Species and that is why we do, indeed, live in a Dark Age as a consequence. It wasn't that Natural Selection was wrong, per se, but the way the principles have been applied has been disastrous. Natural Selection was seized upon as the one and only underlying law of the Universe - and this seizing was done by individuals with a very particular psychological make-up as we will see. The same kinds of people that become uber-religious and kill people in the name of their god, can - and often do - become adherents of the religion of science. [...]Over and over again it is seen, in retrospect, of course, that irrational beliefs that are promulgated by authorities who desire to maintain control, and believed by the followers who want to be 'good', trump True Science; and here I mean the mode of Scientific Cognition, not just 'science' since the so-called Enlightenment. Over and over again, throughout history, going back even to ancient times, you can note that there were a few really intelligent free thinkers who made observations, drew useful inferences from those observations, and suggested solutions that were ignored, ridiculed, reviled, buried; and often, the thinker who dared to voice his ideas was destroyed by one means or another.
[I]n the nineteenth century, certain discoveries led to economic and political considerations, and that is when Science took the wrong turn because those folks who tend to black and white thinking also have other character traits that include a need to dominate others, as well as a strong tendency to greed. The pursuit of science became a career rather than a hobby, and an army of scientific workers was sought to serve the agendas of what was to become known as the Military-Industrial Complex.

The Malthusian Darwinists, of course, will say that it is just 'survival of the fittest'. I guess that depends on what you understand the 'fittest' to be. In the animal kingdom, where fitness is measured by strength and power, the ability to wallop the heck out of all rivals to your possession of food and sexual partners, selection of this type might be useful. But in the human species, where fitness and progress and even survival, depend on brain power, killing off all the brainiest people in any given culture can only lead to degradation and devolution of the species as a whole. And when that species holds in its hands the ability to destroy all life on the planet, well, I think you can see where that kind of selection will lead: a lot of power and not enough brains to know that it ought never to be used.
I would like to invite you to stop and try to imagine what life on Earth might be like if Science had actually fulfilled its mandate of explaining our reality and teaching us how to best respond to it. If science was actually a free exploration of Nature and drawing accurate conclusions, creating theories, testing those theories with no hidden agendas, what might it have accomplished up to now? Can you do it? Can you think of any area of life that could not be improved by having a truly scientific understanding and proposed response that was supported and implemented by the social/power structure?
Oh, you think it has been done? Think again. Read the history of science and human social development. When you see how repeatedly the few individuals who had the right idea were marginalized and/or destroyed, if you have any firing neurons after being born into a humanity which has been genetically manipulated to less intelligence, you will immediately realize that the same conditions - only worse - prevail today: what the mainstream follows is almost always what is politically expedient to those in power, with only enough truth involved to patch over the obvious tears in the now disintegrating fabric of society.
If true, free, intelligent science, supported and encouraged by all of society, had actually been the norm, not the exception, we would live in a world where our very existence was not a shame to the planet that gave us birth. We would have free, clean energy. We would not have a vast majority of human beings living in poverty. We would have no over-population problems. Health issues that dominate Western society and are bringing it to its knees would not be a problem because there would be plenty of nourishing food for all. There would be no wars because scientific anthropology and social psychology would have figured out what is the best of all possible forms of social structure that allows for the widest expression of human types to flourish in harmony. Children would not be medicated at ever younger ages because cognitive science would have established what is the best way to rear and educate them and couples would be able to attend classes on infant care and parenting that were actually effective. The best forms of education would be known so that the widest variety of options would be available to the varied human types and levels of intelligence and skill so that each individual would progress into a life of satisfaction doing what they really enjoy and which they are best at doing. Consciousness - and non-material spirit - would be understood and the proper reverence for Nature and the Cosmos would be a natural part of the lives of all. In short, humankind would know how to live in harmony not only with each other, but with the world in which they are born.
All of this COULD be the conditions of a world where true Science is a valued part of society. It could have been our world.
But that isn't what we have today. What we have today is the Chaos produced by pathological individuals that induces Consent from the Authoritarian Followers. As I noted above, Science took a wrong turn when it was co-opted by Power and diverted to the purposes of Imperialism and materialistic greed.
As it is, the authoritarian sheep follow and support the very worst of humanity; pathological individuals who gain power by deception and manipulation. And in the end, as psychologist, Andrew Lobaczewski wrote; "Germs are not aware that they will be burned alive or buried deep in the ground along with the human body whose death they are causing."
Humanity is a Cosmic body and each individual is a cell in that body. But the humanity we see today is a disease-ridden idiot - a shambling, ragged, beast covered with oozing pustules of corruption representing science, religions and government - stumbling from one self-inflicted disaster to another. There can be only one outcome and this, too, is documented: in ancient literature describing how other 'mighty' cultures have ended:
As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the time of the Son of Man. [People] ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, right up to the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.In case you think that means being 'Raptured', think again, and ponder the following in reference to the above remark about vultures and eagles gathering around a fallen body:
