Wikileaks announced that IAEA had warned Japan since 2008 that their nuclear power plants can not withstand powerful eartquakes. Wether that's true or not, it really is curious for me that they took the huge risk of building nuke power plants on their land. I mean it's a basic rule that on highly seismogenic areas you don't build nuke power plants , you look for alternatives for producing energy. Yet they did it taking a huge risk. Those plants were like ticking time-bombs and finally the timer reached zero.

what's the deal with the ominous portents?

Kind of an overbearing hook, wouldn't you say?
If all there is is lessons(maybe it's true, maybe it's not), then to give in to fear is exactly what exacerbates the problems. Sure you become more "aware", theoretically, but I was thinking that fear was something you shouldn't worship just to get a better audience base.
Otherwise, The video was a very entertaining take on stuff most of us already know.

We may be receptive to this information but many people don't think it matters. I don't think they are playing on fear, but illustrating the critical importance of being aware of this.

If you are not aware of what cancer can do to your body, then you won't take care to live in a way to reduce your chances of developing it, right? And how best to get aware than to FACE THE FACTS. If that makes you afraid, and being afraid makes you act, then your fear is utilized to transform your reality to one where you no longer need to be afraid.

The same is true of psychopathology. If you are not aware of it, then you are subject to its predations. How best to get aware? FACE THE FACTS. Yeah, at first, they can scare you a lot - if they don't, you aren't human. But that fear can drive you to learn, to discover, to seek out a cure for a social cancer that really does threaten every single person on this planet and their children and the future.

Knowledge really does protect.
