It seems the people have been taught that resistance is futile. Speak up and pay the penalty. The systematic destruction of our rights, constitution, seems to be a fait accompli, and perhaps the populace realizes that? People do protest, speak out, file lawsuits, speak to media, document violations. The media covers it as a sound bite, until the next hollywood scandal occurs. And then everyone seems to forget. I suspect because the infrastructure is now too embedded, and those who care have realized that they are less able to effect change in today's environment.
