Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn't fit in with the core belief.
Why now? Really horrible optics that gives opponents ammunition to Trump and team. Who are the Houthis? Who created them? Who armed them? Organic...
What is the narrative? Ukraine is "sovereign" and "that territory is mine" and Russia bad. Ukraine is more "democracy" and "will win the war" with...
All driven by Israel's determination to get the west to do its dirty work and destroy Iran.
Erdogan's days are numbered, I think. This could trigger his downfall.
Ukraine will never recognize the occupied territories. Other "nevers" go right along with that, like never gonna fukkin' happen; idiots.
