The oil is now being pulled into the loop current.

As AP notes:
On Sunday, researchers said computer models show oil has already entered the loop current that could carry the toxic goo toward the Keys, the third-longest barrier reef in the world.

As ROFFS exlains:
We received some dramatic and clear synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory ... that clearly shows that the oil is being pulled into the Loop Current.... I have annotated the imagery so you can see the oil.
