Time: ten to nine

Witness Statement: Walking down Glendale Avenue at specified time noticed a huge ball of red light in the sky. The light was traveling at slow speed. I could see lights from other commercial air craft near by and the object looked nothing like the other planes. I noticed the light had small a moving red beam of light coming off it. I can best describe its location as flying from Howden over to North Shields. I stood and watched the light slowly in the distance as it flew towards Tyne mouth and then it suddenly disappeared.

I wouldn't consider my self a believer of these things, but what I saw this night to me was not something normal.
