Oregon witnesses are reporting a "triangle outline of lights" on March 30, 2010, in Jefferson County that was stationary for 20 minutes before it moved east, produced a "sparkling" from the rear of the object, then seemed to contract and disappear, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

"As it came overhead, we got out of the car and watched it," the reporting witness stated. "It was very high in the atmosphere and had a triangle outline of lights."

The two witnesses report no sound from the object.

Jefferson County is in north-central Oregon, population 19,009.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Oregon MUFON State Director Tom Bowden investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

Oregon, March 30, 2010 - Hovering for 20 mins then flys south and then East. MUFON Case # 22583.

We were on Roundbutte in Jefferson Co Ore, watching stars when a bright "star" appeared in the sky to the NW.

It hovered for about 20 mins in a stationary position.

There was a tree we could use as a gauge to monitor it's location. All of a sudden it began to move back and forth in an east to west motion.

After a few mins, it moved south towards our position.

As it came overhead, we got out of the car and watched it. It was very high in the atmosphere and had a triangle outline of lights.

No sound came from it.

There were other planes in the area and they were totally distinguishable from the triangle object. After it passed over, it headed in an easterly direction. As it moved towards the horizon, it made a "sparkling" display on the rear of the craft and then seemed to contract or shrink into itself and disappeared. Two of us witnessed the event. It was really fascinating!
