Hi, my girlfriend and I were walking up Stanley Road towards Bootle Strand around 7:00pm today 31st January 2010. It was dark out and as we got near the bus stop opposite McDonalds, we saw a few people looking up at the sky, then we saw what they were pointing at. There was 2 orange lights hovering away towards Balliol Road, they were flying together, but they went attached to each other. After a few minutes they just vanished. Within minutes of seeing them, there was 3 or more military helicopters out flying all around the area. They definitely was not police helicopters.
