Witness Statement:

Good Morning

The footage was filmed the evening of Tuesday 26th of January. Here is an account of what happened.

My mother was out in the garden with the two dogs as she was getting some coal to put on the fire. She was looking the the sky when she spotted what appeared to be an orange star. She looked at it for a few seconds then another on flew up to it. As soon as this happened, she ran into the living room to fetch me.

She said "Come quick, there's a ufo outside"

I was in the middle of watching Mock the Week on the television, and sarcastically said "They'd better be ufos outside". I was getting ready to point out whatever they really were.

As soon as I got out I could see and orange light in the distance, just one. My mother said the other light must have flown away. The next thing I knew the other light swooped across the sky, which, according to my mum, was closer than before. I quickly ran inside to grab my camera and begin filming the scene.

I zoomed in as close as I could. I got a pretty good close up. What I noticed was that at the top of the light is a straight line. What isn't visible with the camera is that when I zoomed in I could see little zig zag type lines that went from the centre of the ball outwards. I could only film one as there was quite a distance between the two at that point. In the video, you will notice that my sister was also called by my mother, who sadly ran into me going to get her. This damaged the quality of the footage, as at this point I was zoomed right in and couldn't find it again until the end on a really far out shot. Though, it does give and idea how far away they actually were.

I am certain that these were not chinese lanterns, we have studied footage of those after the sighting because we didn't want to make ourselves look stupid before submitting our video. Boughton is a fairly small town, surrounded by fields and forests, and I work in one of the larger towns nearby. I know for a fact that nowhere near to us sell the lanterns. On top of that, the way the craft I filmed moved into sight was something that I had never seen before.

Any feedback would be appreciated
