Witness Statement: I was walking to the pub and was enjoying the cold clear night when I noticed a huge red orb very high in the sky. It was too large to be any aircraft I have ever seen and it moved directly downwards as if it was falling out the sky then suddenly stopped what seemed a few hundred feet above a house about 15 yards away. It then got brighter more intense in colour then rapidly accelerating from stopped too scary fast then stopped again near Glasgow Airport where it stopped got dimmer in colour then it traveled at a steady pace vertically then speeding off again out of sight out of our atmosphere.
