Date of Sighting: June 20, 2009
Time of Sighting: 10 PM CDT
Location of Sighting: About 10 Miles North of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (Few Miles N. of ND Border)

Description: I was wondering if anyone reported an object in the Manitoba skies. I spotted this in the western sky around 10:00 PM on June 20 at Birds Hill Park. An object traveled across the sky on a level plane at an extremely high speed. It seemed to change from a fiery to a silver color as it went by. This object was a great distance away. I have at least three other witnesses and we were wondering if there is any explanation.

Second Report by Witness (In Response to Questions): My sighting was while I was at Birds Hill Park which is about 10 miles north of Winnipeg, Manitoba. I was facing west and the object came from the north and traveled south. The light was visible for approximately 30 seconds. The light disappeared behind trees in the park. The light was a great distance away and the trees in the park obscured my line of sight. The light was unobscured for a great distance of the horizon before it left my line of sight. The day was clear and the temperature was about 27 Celsius. The stars were very clear later. The stars had not come out yet at my sighting as it was just at dusk.

Note: No satellite tracks fit the above sighting. Also it is doubtful that the witnesses saw a meteor or falling space junk as it was stated that the object "traveled on a level plane." Given available information I have no explanation for this sighting.
