The following reports and their headlines are unedited. You can read my selected cases by type of UFO report at the UFO Traffic Report index page.
First up today is a Wisconsin witness who was drawn to the window late one night by the sound of helicopters. Looking up, the witness saw "three very bright white lights in perfect alignment in a straight line." There was a fourth light described as red/white positioned to the rear of this line. These lights were positioned over the entire length of the witnesses' 400-foot long driveway. The slow-moving object gave the witness the impression he was observing the underside of a gray-colored craft. The object disappeared over a hillside.Wisconsin, June 18, 2009 - Heard hovering noise, kind of like helicopter, looked out the window and saw three very bright white lights in perfect line with another red/white flashing lite off to the left side.I had just gone to bed at 12:30am on 6/18/09 and around 12:45 to 1 am I heard what sounded like helicopters hovering over our rural home. The dogs heard the noise as well and were standing by the window when previously they had been sleeping on the bed. I went to the window and looked out. I noticed that the motion detector light in our driveway had been activated, but I did not see anything in our driveway.
As I looked up there appeared to be three very bright white lights in perfect alignment in a straight line. The fourth light, which was red/white flashing, was a bit off to the left rear of the line. Our driveway is approximately 400 feet in length and the lights extended almost the entire length of it. It moved very slowly and I could hear what sounded to me like an engine noise (low and not quite a helicopter noise as I had originally thought) consistently as it moved south over our meadow toward the hill. It did appear that the lights may have been attached to some flat metal (as in I was viewing possibly the underside of something)gray object, but I cannot be sure as we do not have street lights due to our rural location.
My impression was that I was seeing the underside of a large object though. I saw no markings anywhere and it was above the tree line height wise. Our tree's are very old pine trees so they are at least 50 feet tall. It took several moments for it to disappear over the hillside. The entire time the red/white flashing lights continued to follow it. I am not sure whether the red/white lights were physically attached to the 'object' or what the case was.
My impression was that it was not attached. I've never seen anything like this before. This area is fairly rural and while we do get occasional planes flying over, I am certain this was not an airplane as the speed and noise were completely different.
This Texas witness driving down a highway in Azle, watched a "bright green glowing ball" traveling toward the ground at a 60 degree angle. The object was only visible for about two seconds before it disappeared at the horizon line.

Texas, June 19, 2009 - Bright green fireball shoots to the ground over Azle, Texas.I was driving down the highway at 2:25am on June 19, 2009. I was traveling West. It was a clear, dry, hot night. There were stars in the sky. I was watching the road in front of me when out of nowhere, low in the sky appeared a bright green glowing ball which shot in a straight line at about a 60 degree angle down to the ground. It had a slight haze around it and had a very faint, very short tail. The light appeared in the southwest sky. It was only visible for about two seconds. It was much larger than any shooting star. It looked like someone shot a flare gun from the sky to the earth. It was the color of a green traffic light.
I immediately thought it was a UFO because it traveled so fast and in straight line. I was amazed at the size and intensity of the object. If it was a meteor it would have wiped out a city. I lost sight of it at the horizon line. It looked liked it would have made contact with the ground.
An Ohio witness saw "a bright green fireball" shooting across the sky with a short tail behind it lighting up the clouds before it disappeared. Shortly afterward, the witness saw a bright star-light object falling to the ground in the same area.Ohio, June 9, 2009 - Bright green fireball followed by falling star.I was jogging down a dark, country road thinking about UFOs and aliens and wishing they would appear when suddenly a bright green fireball came streaking down from the sky. It had a short tail behind it and lit up the clouds before vanishing. A couple minutes later I saw a bright star-like object falling slowly from the sky in almost the same location. It did not have any tail at all nor did it pulsate or burn up like a meteor would have. It just fell straight down almost to the ground before disappearing. I thought it was a pretty cool coincidence that it showed up right as I was thinking about aliens. It was almost like they were giving me a sign. Of course it could have just been a couple of meteors. Who knows?
A Colorado witness watching a jet pass overhead, noticed "a round white orb stationary in the sky." As this object moved east, two more orbs appeared. Two of these objects moved off, while one remained stationary, and two more silver/grey orbs moved into the sky.Colorado, June 19, 2009 - Three round white orbs in sky and two silver grey orbs passed around the white ones.I was at outside at work and glanced up to watch a jet pass by. Right after the jet passed by I saw a round white orb stationary in the sky. I watched it move slowly toward the east but as I watched I saw two other orbs, one further away and one closer. After about two to three minutes two of the orbs moved off but the one that was closer stayed in the same position. Just then two silver grey orbs approached the white orb; they were flying together then split apart to go around the white orb and then rejoined after they passed and moved off toward the east. I began walking around the building at the same time watching the orb and it never moved, but stayed in the same place. I had to glance down for a moment but when I looked back up the orb was gone. There was no one with me at the time.
A Colorado woman was explaining to her husband about orbs she had seen recently in the sky, when they noticed an orb moving across the sky. The husband estimated its speed at Mach 2 or 3.Colorado, June 19, 2009 - White orb circle moving very fast in sky toward mountains. My husband and I were standing outside of our home facing east. I was telling him about the orbs I had seen earlier this morning at my work. I pointed to the cottonwood 'cotton' that has been flying in the sky and mentioned that I was not seeing cotton but white orbs. Just as I said that we both saw a white orb much higher up in the sky traveling from northeast to northwest. My husband estimates that the object was traveling about Mach 2 or 3 (he is an aviation enthusiast) and no sonic boom was detected.
A Washington witness driving along a highway noticed three white lights in the sky above the Hanford nuclear power plant.

Washington, June 19, 2009 - 3 solid lights none blinking object had obvious rotation then vanished.I was driving the interstate just west of Moses Lake. To the southwest I saw 3 lights flying. There were 2 odd things to this, one being I have never seen an aircraft move like this. I have spent many years in the army part of my job was surveillance, one thing you learn is features of aircraft. The spacing of the lights where symmetrical and looked even.
The second was the location of the sighting it was over Hanford outreach, aks Hanford nuclear powerplant.
The object appeared around dusk. The sun wasn't set yet so you could see very clear. It was below the ceiling. The object moved fairly slow and extremely smooth. There was no jetstream behind it. At which time this is what caught my eye it just vanished. I continued to watch the area. Around a minute or 2 later, the object then reappeared for about 30 seconds. It was moving even slower but still heading in a westerly direction. I then noticed it do something I have never seen an aircraft do, it did a 180 degree rotation. You could tell this because the light facing north rotated to the point it faded and you could only see one of the lights at which point the object vanished. The sky was a slight overcast and I didn't see any object hit open sky anywhere in the area around there and nothing showed up.
Two Illinois sisters out having a cigarette in Marion first noticed two lights moving across the sky - then the object appeared to rotate, and a third light was seen. The witness seems to think the three lights were part of one object forming a triangle shape.Illinois, June 20, 2009 - 3 lights moving across the sky jumping side to side.My sister and I were outside of our apartment around 2:15 AM smoking a cigarette, which is the only reason we usually go outside. I honestly don't know what made me look up in the sky, but immediately when I looked up I seen what appeared to be 2 lights moving at a steady pace high in the sky.
The lights were not blinking whatsoever, and there was no noise coming from the aircraft. The lights didn't even seem like normal lights on an aircraft at all. Looked more of a bright white glow. after about 5 seconds of watching the object it seemed as if it rotated and a third light appeared. The lights seemed to have made the shape of a triangle and would have probably been a perfect triangle if it would have passed directly over me, but I was watching it from a very diagonal angle. It continued moving west from Marion, where I was, toward Carterville. I watched it for about 2 minutes. It seemed as if it were hovering and it would swiftly jump from left to right, which I don't see why any aircraft would. Maybe they want to be seen... it was quite cloudy out and it was lightning a little bit. I watched it till it faded out into one of the dark clouds. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I felt it knew I was watching because the moment I told my sister I thought it to be a UFO it started making these swift movements. I feel the people that see these sitings are the ones that can handle a little truth. This isn't the first time i felt I've seen a UFO. About 2 years ago in Homosassa Springs, Florida, I seen what appeared to be a red/orange glow moving over the horizon in very odd directions about 20 minutes after the sun set. It was very distant and was circular in shape (the glow of course). I was with my friend Andrew and asked him if he thought it was a UFO. He said he'd rather not think about that and walked away inside his house, which we were standing outside of. I watched this for about 6 minutes until it disappeared instantly. Since then I've been in search of truth more than ever. Even if these sighting weren't of an ET I'm sure the government has something up their sleeves. They don't have me fooled! If only they were so afraid of letting us know a little truth, but what can I do. Things will play out how they play out and only god has the mind power to change that.
A Colorado witness at Ellsworth and Broadway in Denver who was standing in an alley facing north noticed "a very large grey rectangular object moving on a straight plane, smoothly across the sky from West to East."
© Google MapsGround view at Ellsworth and Broadway, Denver.
Colorado, June 20, 2009 - Very large rectangular object.I stepped out of the backdoor of the storage building at the corner of Ellsworth & Broadway in Denver and when I entered the alley and looked North, I saw a very large grey rectangular object moving on a straight plane, smoothly across the sky from West to East.
I looked at it intensely while it was in view and I could not tell what I was looking at - it was unlike anything I've seen before. It looked like it was moving directly over downtown Denver. It was moving at a decent rate and within a few seconds went behind a building in the foreground and I lost sight of it. I didn't see it again. An airplane went by shortly thereafter on about the same route. The object was MUCH larger than the plane I saw just after. As soon as I got in my car I realized I had truly just seen an unidentified flying object especially since I saw a plane after it which looked so completely different in the sky.
A Colorado witness with two kids in an IHop parking lot near Sheridan and 120th in Denver, saw a rectangular-shaped object over Denver.Colorado, June 19, 2009 - Saw large rectangular object in the distance towards the city of Denver.I was entering the local IHOP's parking lot in a car having a good time with my two kids, near the intersection of Sheridan and 120th, going to a late lunch. I glanced in the direction of Denver and saw a rectangular object just above the obstructions on the horizon, oriented vertically, maybe 4:1 aspect ratio.
White like a cloud, no apparent markings or motion, sky was clear around it. I didn't do a proper test at the time but it way maybe 1-2 cm tall at arm's length. Also did not note the exact time. I presumed it was some kind of advertisement or balloon so drove a little further to try and get a better look. Then it appeared to get thinner and vanished, like a 3x5 card rotating so it disappeared when edge-on, and did not reappear. Then we went on to our destination. My 6-yr old said she also saw it but is not reliable and I'm not sure she did. I had attended a talk by Dr Steven Greer Thursday in Denver, and we were in a peaceful and fun mood at the time, and I was probably thinking about the talk when I looked towards Denver and saw the object. I did not think much of it at the time, I'm not sure I consider any of this stuff really seriously, but do have an open mind and follow news on the subject. And I would not have bothered to report but saw a report of what appears to be the same object, so decided to report my sighting to help confirm it. This really makes me think twice about Dr Greer, who will be doing more stuff here this weekend.
Several people from the same steel company in East Aurora watched a black, cigar-shaped object in the sky. The object hovered in the same spot for 35 minutes.Colorado, June 17, 2009 - A black shiny cigar shaped object with a slight bend hovering high in the sky then moved north easterly.I work for a steel company located in East- Aurora, Colorado. It was Wednesday, June 17th ( I believe ), late morning when this incident occurred. I was indoors at my desk- in the shipping-receiving department. It was around 11 am or so and the sky was clear with few clouds. One of the steel yard forklift drivers called in on the radio to let us know that he was looking at an object that was hovering above high in the sky. He said that he hadn't seen any kind of plane or balloon shaped like this object and no motor/engine could be heard. My manager and myself walked outside to see what he was watching. It was hard to pinpoint or see due to it's elevation. You really had to be focusing in that general area of the sky because you could lose sight of it easily but, because it stayed in one spot, we could see it. It was cigar shaped and black in color. It seemed to bend on one end. The object was elongated across the sky but actually turned straight up and down at one point, then flattened out again. When it did this the sun reflected off one side which gave off a goldy colored sheen. It stayed in the same spot for about 35 minutes and during this time a plane circled the sky four times at a much lower elevation than the object. We were all stupefied as to what the object was. A couple of our sales people inside had heard that we were watching something in the sky and came out to see for themselves. No one could identify the object. A co-worker grabbed her camera to take pics but the object seemed not to show in any pic and we couldn't get it to come up on our cell phone cameras. The co-worker did manage to get one pic where the object could be seen but it looked like something you would see on a cellular lever under a microscope because she got the object but it also picked up three other shadow like dots near it in the sky that we did not see with the naked eye. After hovering the object moved north easterly in the sky until we could no longer see it. One observer called channel nine news to report a strange object spotted in the sky and to ask if the airforce was running a test on a plane or spycam. We thought for sure that other people had to have seen it also. It was talked about around the office for the next couple of days and we all watched the news for some kind of explanation but heard/saw nothing to explain what was in the sky. I decided for ha-ha's to pull up pics of ufo sitings. Some of those pictures are really ridiculous but I did find a picture of a cigar shaped craft taken in 1996 in the uk that looked exactly like the object we observed.
A New Mexico witness driving outside Silver City along Route 180 spotted two orange spheres just above the mountain range.New Mexico, June 3, 2009 - Two orange spheres.I was heading home from Silver City on US Hwy 180 west when I saw two orange spheres in front of me just above the mountain range. They were there for about 3 min or so then they vanished. This is about the second time I have seen this in that area.
A group of witnesses pool-side at a condo complex, watched a series of orbs moved across the sky.Texas, June 20, 2009 - Possible Daytime Sighting - Small Pink Glowing Fast Moving Orb Under Cloud Deck After F16 Fly Over at Condo Complex PoolToday at 5:30pm, while swimming at the community pool at my mother in law's condo complex just off the corner of Ashdale and Burnet Rd, my wife, mother-in-law, and my two children witnessed a very loud and unnaturally low-flying military fighter jet formation. I believe they were F-16's judging by the wing configuration. There were 4 or 5. I am not sure because I was caught up trying to get everyone to look, and to try to reason whether or not law prevents low altitude fly overs of residential areas by military aircraft. I also noted that the speed of the military craft did not seem to be very fast, and based on the absence of a sonic boom, I can only assume they were not on afterburners. I will look that up after posting this report. Immediately after the military aircraft disappeared from view, I noticed a small, white single engine civilian aircraft at a much higher altitude (above or at least in the cloud deck) traveling in a flight path that was perpendicular to that of the fighter jets. As I tracked the smaller civilian aircraft, at some point, a small brightly glowing pink orb, sphere, or dot, whichever you prefer passed just "under" the civilian aircraft in the visual field. As my family and I tracked the object, we noted that it appeared to be small, was glowing bright pink, and was rapidly moving in a straight line on a course roughly opposite the course of the civilian aircraft. As it encountered clouds in the visual field, we noted that it remained visible and therefore must be moving at an altitude below the cloud deck. The object's speed compared to the military and civilian aircraft gave the impression that although it was obviously at a lower altitude, that it was traveling too quickly to have been a balloon blowing in the wind, which at this time was almost dead calm. We also noted that due to it's seeming flat, or even slightly ascending flight path, it's lack of a tail or trail, and due to it's speed, it could not be a meteorite or falling space debris. To comment specifically on the speed, it was moving as quickly at it's altitude as I have seen commercial airliners on a landing approach move at a similar altitude, so I concluded that it was moving so fast that it had to be moving under power or propulsion of some sort, and that it's speed was such that compared to other "shooting star" meteorite sightings I've had in the past, it was much too slow, and remained visible too long on a flat or slightly ascending flight path to be a meteorite or shooting star. Perhaps 5 to 7 minutes after the unidentified object left my field of vision, we all witnessed 2 more roughly spherical objects that appeared to be at the same altitude and on the same heading as the previous unidentified object. These two objects were traveling in a vertically opposed, tandem configuration. Both objects were oscillating colors between bright red and silver (reflective). The object at the top of the tandem configuration was very steady, but the object at the bottom of the tandem configuration was tumbling erratically, but maintaining same course and speed as the top object, and though it moved about under the top object erratically, it stayed a constant distance from the top object, roughly the equivalent of the diameter of either object (as they appeared to be roughly the same size). We watched it for as long as we could, observing it passing rapidly under clouds, and we exited the pool continuing to adjust our position on the ground until we could no longer track it without leaving the pool area. As the second pair of object left the visual field we observed what appeared to be a red and blue civilian helicopter on a heading to intercept the two objects, though at a much lower altitude. The helicopter seems to have been on the same basic flight path of the two tandem object, leading me to believe that the helicopter may have been observing and/or pursuing the tandem objects. The second sighting lasted roughly twice the duration of the first.
Two California witnesses first thought they were seeing a dark helicopter, and then realized the object had no blades and was making no noise. The object seemed to break apart into two objects, and then rejoined as a single object. They were able to follow the object for a short while before it disappeared.California, May 28, 2009 - UFO low over Mill St, shapeshifted and came apart then west and then north againMy mother and I were coming out of Charlie's Cafe in the late afternoon/early evening. I saw a flying vehicle that I thought was a dark helicopter over the buildings of Mill St just a few hundred ft away if that. It had no blades and made no sound and suddenly it shapeshifted and continued to do so...then it broke apart into two pieces and went back together again. Well I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but my mother was seeing the same thing happen. So I moved to the next parking lot next to Carolines Roasters and continued watching it change shape as it moved slowly along and then it turned West. I got back on the road and hoped it would not disappear before I could catch up with it again which I did at the top of Main St by the cemetery at Squirrel Creek Rd. I watched it for a good long time there, had time to call my three friends who are into UFOs, one of whom had a house almost directly beneath the craft. It was higher in the sky now, but stationary and still changing shape and separating and reconjoining. Bill was not home, Ronna Lee and Marsha also but the two women called me while I was still watching the craft with my mother, then it turned an headed north again towards their houses but it was climbing faster now and soon became too small for me to see. I remembered at some point that I had a camera with me and took pics and video of the event at the third sighting. What I was seeing was as dark as the trees in the photos but it does not show up on the film. It was very frustration. I just couldn't believe it. But there are a sort of watercolor smudges on the film where the craft was, perhaps with enlargement and enhancement it could be seen better. Afterward I was thrilled. I had not had a sighting in a long time. Used to all the time. It was quite thrilling, and to have my mom, a witness, was even better.
I just wish I had remembered my camera while it was still over the buildings downtown. I have the photos on my camera but no way to get them off and to you.
This Pennsylvania witness out for some ice cream in Wynnewood (near Philadelphia) noticed a "slow-moving object gliding underneath the cloud cover." The silent object was described as solid black, with "circular bright white lights at each vertex of the black triangular form."Pennsylvania, June 20, 2009 - Black triangle with strange running lights buzzed over our supermarketI parked the car late at night at a Genaurdi's parking lot in Wynnewood for some ice cream and noticed a slow-moving object gliding underneath the cloud cover (it has been rainy here for a few days). At first, I thought it was a slow commercial aircraft but it did not have a traditional aircraft shape. It was a solid black silhouette against the nighttime clouds. It flew high above the supermarket and and then turned south. It had circular bright white lights at each vertex of the black triangular form. I have seen similar pictures taken of this object before. I also noticed a strange symmetrical running light pattern. It was not at all like that of a commercial aircraft. They were yellow, red and orange and flashed from the outside of the vertices towards the center. As it flew away from me (towards the SE) it seemed as if the flashing running lights were long colored rods. The pattern was not consistent and changed over time. There was absolutely no noise as this thing flew and it did not accelerate while I was watching it. It also banked like an airplane when it turned. It stayed at a steady slow-moving pace and I lost sight of it when it flew over the trees.
I did not feel that this aircraft was extraterrestrial. My feeling was that it is some sort of manmade experimental craft. It was peculiar but I did not feel awe-struck.
A Texas truck driver eastbound on I40 coming into Texas from New Mexico, witnessed "a brilliant flash of bright green light that was daylight intense in all directions." He said there was evidence of burning debris falling. Later, the witnesses met up with other truck drivers who saw the same thing - many miles apart from each other.Texas, June 19, 2009 - A bright green flash of light with debris falling seen for at least 44 milesWhile traveling east bound on I40 just about to cross into Texas from New Mexico. It was cloudy, so no moon. Right about 0230 there was a brilliant flash of bright green light that was daylight intense in all directions. There was evidence of burning debris falling. About 20 minutes later I met 4 truck drivers traveling west bound. They were talking about the green flash of light over them! They were in Vega, TX when it happened. They gave me their exact location. They also said they saw what looked like burning debris falling. We both were thinking it happened above us and we were over 40 miles apart. Another driver who I talked to about 1 hour later said he was near Shamrock, TX and saw the green flash start "way above the clouds and went downward". He could not give a distance estimate, just that it was west of him. There was no sound of anything blowing up. I have served in the military and know what a star shell looks like and ariel burst of munitions looks like. I have never seen anything like this. There was a sheriff near Adrian, TX and a state trouper near Vega, TX that may have witnessed it. There is also personnel at the NM scale house for the west bound lanes near San Jon, NM that may have seen it also.
I am a truck driver, just on a routine evening drive. I did not see a 'fireball" just the entire area as far as I could see in any direction was brilliant green. I have no idea what I saw, only that I saw it.
Two Arkansas witnesses driving along a bypass, noticed "a big oval sphere looking thing glowing a light orange" in the sky overhead. The silent object then dropped a white ball of light from it. There was a flash in the sky as the object disappeared.Arkansas, June 20, 2009 - I was taking my girlfriend home after we got a snow cone and saw something we have never seen.I spent most of my Saturday at Lake Ouachita and when I got back I went to my friends house to hang out. We left the house around 10:10 to go pick up my girlfriend from work to go get a snow cone with our friends. We took two different vehicles because she lives kinda out of the way. So we left the snow cone place and got on the bypass. We were driving along and talking at about 11:00 she pointed out the window and said "what is that." We were on the bypass right before the airport road exit. I found it in the sky as well. It was a big oval sphere looking thing glowing a light orange. So I immediately pulled over to look at it. I had no idea what it could be, we were by the airport but there wasn't a white red or green light on it. I rolled down my window to get a better look and no sound was coming from it. Then a white ball of light was dropped from it. The Sphere glided a little more toward the north-east. Then it faded away for a second then came back. There was a flash then it just disappeared. The only thing that i was thinking was what was that. We waited for a little longer but it never came back. So we set off. I missed the exit to her house. But on the opposite side of the bypass there was a police officer pulled over with his lights on inside the cabin and it looked like he was writing something down. And then I took her home and waited on her dad and that's it. The whole sighting lasted less than five minutes.
A New Jersey witness in Waretown watched "a large extremely bright ball of light hovering above the Barnegat Bay, approximately a quarter mile west of the Barnegat Inlet." The ball of light was estimated to be 80 to 100 feet wide and was hovering 300 to 400 feet above the water. The witness soon was able to observe the object at home with a "spotting scope." After about an hour of watching the object, it just disappeared.New Jersey, June 20, 2009 - Extremely Bright Ball of Light Hovering Over Barnegat Bay for over an Hour.At approximately 4 AM on 6/20/2009, I was traveling East on Michigan Ave. approaching Sheridan St., at the bayfront, in Waretown, (Ocean Twp.) New Jersey. As I approached the bay I could clearly observe a large extremely bright ball of light hovering above the Barnegat Bay, approximately a quarter mile west of the Barnegat Inlet. The sky was clear and I would estimate the the "ball" to have been approximately 80'- 100' wide. The object was projecting a direct reflection onto the water, and was hovering approximately 300 to 400 feet above the water. It was the brightest light I had ever observed in the sky (and I have lived here for over 5 years). I entered my home and traveled to the third floor deck where I retrieved a spotting scope. Looking through the scope (which was mounted on a tri-pod) I observed no solid structure, blinking lights, or movement. The object was nearly blinding when observed through the scope. The scope remained in a unchanged position for the duration of the observation, during which time the object NEVER moved, dimmed, or made a sound. At approximately 5 AM, the object instantly vanished.
It should be noted than on 6/21/2009, I mentioned the event to my neighbor to see if he had observed anything similar on that, or any other evening. It was at that time he informed me that during a summer evening in 2008, he had observed a bright ball of light traveling north across Barnegat Bay. He stated that the object was being chased or followed by 2 fighter jets. He stated that as the object approached the area of Barnegat Inlet, it made a 90 degree turn, and "shot" west across the sky at a speed that was "too fast to follow with your eyes". He states that the jets then turned back out over the ocean towards Atlantic City.
And finally, it should also be noted that this area of Barnegat Bay is less than 1 mile from the Oyster Creek Nuclear Facility.
A Texas witness claims seeing a triangle-shaped object just 1,500 feet in the air. The object hovered for two hours before it moved away at high speed. The witness snapped a single photo.

Texas, June 21, 2009 - It was like a huge tower floating over me.I was walking around at night with some friends when one of them spotted something.
I looked up only to see this triangle shaped thing hovering over me about 1500 feet. I instantly got out my camera and zoomed in as much as I could to take the picture you see here. After about 2 hours it shot up in the sky blistering fast.
Two adults and four children in Nebraska first saw what appeared to be a fireball in the sky. The object was just above the tree top level over homes. It was described as "a bright, yellow-orange light in a somewhat trapezoidal shape, covered with a haze that diffused the edges, making it hard to define the exact shape." Then the object stopped moving, hovered for about 5 to 10 seconds, then began moving west until it disappeared from sight.Nebraska, June 19, 2009 - Brightly lit flying "craft" near Willow Creek ParkWe were at the Willowcreek park (149 and Harrison) Friday, June 19, 2009 at around 9:45 pm when the four children we were with started pointing and shouting for us to look at the "fireball" in the sky. We (2 adults) turned to look (toward the east) and we saw a fairly large, brightly lit "flying craft" just over the trees and houses in the neighborhood. At first I assumed it was an airplane, but immediately realized it was something else that I have never seen before and cannot identify logically. It was a bright, yellow-orange light in a somewhat trapeziodal shape, covered with a haze that diffused the edges, making it hard to define the exact shape, It also seemed to have a brighter spot in the center. It was slowly heading towards the park, but as the kids started shouting and pointing, it stopped moving forward, hovered for around 5-10 seconds, then began moving away from us (to the west) getting smaller, but then it was just gone!
It was definitely some sort of "aircraft". It was not a firework, weather balloon, prop plane or even military plane. We are near the airbase and a small airport, but this was nothing like any of the planes that we see flying overhead. It was super-bright, entirely lit over the body of the object. It literally was flying forward, hovered, then flew back in the direction it came from. Then in an instant it was gone. I've never known a plane that can do that.
The children said that when they noticed it and began pointing and shouting, the craft stopped moving towards us, as if it saw them.
The object also changed shape when in began moving backwards, from the hazy trapezoid to an elongated oval.
It was totally silent, which was strange for how close it was. We (the two adults) may not have even been aware of it if the children hadn't seen it first, even though it was just above the houses.
During the event, no one was afraid, just awed by what we saw.
Did anyone else see this?
This Kansas City, Missouri, witness first noticed two objects moving in a straight line at the same speed, then a third, a fourth and a fifth object. None of the objects made a sound, and they were described as "identical yellow/orange fireballs streaming through the sky."Missouri, June 19, 2009 - fireballs in formationWas sitting outside in my midtown Kansas City back yard about 10:30-10:45pm talking. I live about 5 miles south of the downtown airport, so it is not unusual to see aircraft flying flow. We noticed two objects in the sky headed in a straight line from south to north (as if they were headed to the airport). The second object was about a second or two behind the first, both traveling in exactly the same line, same speed. At first I assumed they were airplanes. About 2 seconds later, another object came into view -- same size, speed, trajectory as the first two. Another second or two later a fourth object followed, and a second or two later a fifth object did the exact same path. All were identical.... I don't believe they were airplanes. I saw no flashing lights, there was no sound (I often hear sound with planes landing downtown, just identical yellow/orange fireballs streaming through the sky.
I have lived in this same location 15 years and have seen many, many planes fly by. The first two objects that went by would not necessarily have caused me to research further. Three caught my attention more... five convinced me this was something very unusual.
