Date of Sighting: June 6, 2009
Time of Sighting: About 4:30 AM EDT
Location of Sighting: Cape Coral, Florida

Description: This morning at 3:30 AM I woke up. We were having a bad storm and it was thundering very loudly. I put the TV on and starting watching it. At I think it was around 4:30 AM I got out of bed because the whole house felt like it got hit by lightning. I went outside and it was very cloudy not a star in the sky. It was still thundering and started drizzling. I proceeded to go back in the house. I turned around. I don't know why I did and looked up in the sky. And there it was. It looked like a star, but it was red in the middle with white lights around it. The lights were narrow straight lines either 4 or 5 with the red light in the middle. The clouds were moving swiftly. I kept staring at it to be sure that I am really seeing this. Then I started walking in my pajamas at 4:30 am in the thundering drizzling weather trying to get a closer look. I don't understand that. I am then standing in the middle of the street just staring at this and waiting for it to move. It didn't budge. I felt like I was in a trance. It was really weird!

A car came down the street and I ran out of the way. Right after that the thing just faded into the cloud and disappeared. Then the rain just started pouring and it started storming worse. I ran into the house. I had enough. The next morning my bedroom was the only room that had no power. I went in the garage and fixed it, but I thought that was a little creepy. I am 46 and live in Cape Coral, Florida.

Subsequent Report From Witness: I had written to you a few days ago. I went back outside at 4:30 AM again and I saw the same thing except that it was all white. So apparently this was not a UFO. Sorry to waste your time and thank you for responding so quickly. I guess it was just a star.

Note: This is an interesting report. One wonders why the witness ran outside and looked up? With the new information supplied by the witness I guess that he saw a star "between the storm clouds."
