All News Web received the following email from a reader last night:
"I am not sure how to go about this: I've seen a few articles about Yorkshire UFOs. I am around a mile from the Leeds city centre.I have seen for two weeks now, around 3am until 5am (can be anywhere between that time), a huge light about the height of a helicopter (so not a star), silent, barely moving, bright as the sun when I look at it through my binoculars, I don't know what it is, it sometimes stays there for 30 min, then disappears for 5 min and comes back, but its only been there for around an hour the last day or two. Saturday night it was there for 4 hours non stop.

Can you maybe put this out for anyone in the Yorkshire/Leeds area who has a good range/ night vision camera to keep their eyes open around that time? whatever it is, it isn't one of those 'blink and you'll miss it orbs', this thing is clearly huge and it just sits there. I repeat it is not a helicopter or a plane or a balloon."
The reader asks if anyone else has seen this UFO. If you have let us know.

Yorkshire is most definitely UFO country and next time you pass a taciturn Yorkshire-man on a country path you might wonder what extraterrestrial secrets he keeps to himself.

Why do aliens have such an affinity with this place? Is it the weather? Perhaps the cuisine? Do aliens taste something in a 'Toad in the hole' that no other non-British earthling can?
