Today's stories include: A Vermont sighting of a blue and white light hovering in the sky with photos; four chevron-shaped objects photographed over California; a bright light videotaped over Oregon; two interesting accounts of a triangle UFO from the same Stephenville, Texas, witnesses; a boomerang object near Savannah, Georgia; discs spotted over South Carolina, Oregon and Arizona; an Orange Light hovering over a field near Rockville, Indiana; seven Bright Light cases over Texas, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Wisconsin and California; and an odd case of an invisible entity in the Missouri woods.
Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page.

The following reports and their headlines are unedited.
First up today is a Vermont witness who watched a stationary light in the sky that was blue and white colored - and got some photos.

I was on my deck having a cigarette before work when I noticed a bright light off in the distance. I live near an airport and have seen many numbers of planes and helicopters. There is also an Army base at the airport. Civilian and military airplanes & helicopters frequent the area.

It was tough to snap a photo as it was dark, so I placed the camera on the deck railing to gain support and zoomed in. I only have a 10x zoom lens. Just as I was looking at the view finder the light slowly dissipated and was gone.

While examining the photos in Photoshop I was able to zoom in on the object. Notice how the stars around the object are stationary but the lights seemed blurred as if it were vibrating or moving. You can also see the tree branches in my yard as the object was in the distance.
Four family members in California thought they saw a black balloon in the sky, but upon viewing the object through binoculars, it seemed to have a chevron shape - but as they viewed the object, it appeared to change shape. Three other objects also came into view.

My wife, daughter, my daughter's boyfriend and myself were sitting in our backyard at 19:30 on May 27, 2009 when I noticed what looked like a black balloon at about 30 degrees in the northern sky.
I stood up and focused on the object and asked my daughter to run inside and get my binoculars. I wanted to confirm that the object was just a balloon. A few minutes later when I looked at the object through the binoculars I could tell that this wasn't a balloon. The object appeared to have a body and wings, but not like any aircraft I've ever seen. The edges of the object were fuzzy and appeared to be changing shape. Even when viewed through the binoculars, the object appeared small, and therefore, was very high up in the sky.
I asked my wife to get my digital camera, a Cannon 7.1 mega pixel Power Shot. I handed the binoculars to my daughter and quickly framed the object and started snapping photos. I used two settings, auto and landscape, and zoomed to the max 4x on the landscape setting.

She described what she was seeing as an object that was constantly changing shape and color. The sun was low in the western sky, and the typical sunset / smog effect in the LA area was causing the object to change colors from black to orange-red to silver.
Within a few minutes, three other objects appeared in the same area of the sky. The objects appeared to be slowly rising higher and moving towards the north, away from us. The wind on the ground was maybe 5 mph blowing towards the south. There were a few cirrostratus clouds and the objects appeared to be at about the same height. Our best guess was that the objects were at 20,000 to 30,000 feet.
Our best guess was that the objects were about 15 miles to the north of us over the Oak Mountains, just to the east of Rocketdyne which is located on the Simi Hills.
The objects appeared to be hovering in place for about twenty minutes with only minor movement. Based on the photos and the observations through the binoculars, we all thought the objects were rising and moving slowly to the north.
At 19:50 the objects just disappeared from our view. We continued to watch for another 15 minutes, but didn't see anything else.
On a normal evening, we see commercial aircraft approaching the Burbank Airport. The commercial aircraft are usually flying at 3,000 feet as they pass our vantage point, moving west to east.
I'm attaching three of the thirty photos I took to this report. The first photo shows one dark object in the center of the frame and a commercial plane in the lower left. The second shows three unidentified objects in the same frame. The third shows two objects and a powerline in the foreground.
We are all certain that this was not a standard aircraft, neither private, military nor commercial. This was not a balloon, star or planet. There was no sound coming from the objects. We had no sense that the objects were attached to each other or flying in a formation.
Because of the height, it is impossible to say how large the objects were, but our best guess would be that they were larger than any standard commercial aircraft. Their movement, or lack of movement, indicates again that this was not a standard aircraft.
A group of witnesses in Oregon have watched a silent and bright light in the sky at the same time on successive nights. They hope to get better video, but offer this short piece for now. Their video follows this report.
Oregon, May 22, 2009 - The object was very bright and quiet.
Me and my sister Jane have seen the same object go over several nights in a row. And has been witnessed by several family members. The object always goes from west to east. The object has gone over our house several nights in a row. We like to go out at night and just look at the night sky and yes I know the difference between a satellite and a plane we live very near the airport. We are not looking for glam or glitter me and my family just wants to know what's this all about. I have never witnessed anything like this at night. Something very strange is going on. It goes across between 9:45pm and 10:00pm and has done this for several nights. The object catches you off guard. The object goes in a straight line. Is there anyone else reporting this object lots of people have to be seeing this object it catches your attention because of the brightness and intensity. Me and my niece, Sara, have also seen the same object from her house she lives about four houses down from me. I have video of the object but it was further away and was taken from my sister's camera. I continue to go out between 9:30pm and 9:45pm trying to get better video. The video I am sending is terrible like I said I don't have a great video recorder wish I did. The object this night was further away unfortunately. I was not going to send this video because of the poor quality believe me this video doesn't give it justice to how close the object has appeared.

Two Texas witnesses near Stephenville had two sightings of what they think may be the same craft. This second sighting on May 28 appeared as though the object was between one and two thousand feet, with a dim, gray glow. As it banked sharply in the sky, they noticed the triangle shape and estimated its size to be about that of a Boeing 737.
Texas, May 28, 2009 - Triangle shaped craft heading east at a high rate of speed
This statement is in fact two reports of the same craft seen twice within a three week period.
I do not remember the exact date but in the second week of May 2009 a co-worker and myself were dumping trash in a dumpster out behind the building we work at. The area is poorly lighted and is located near the city limits of Stephenville. The time was around 12:30am and the sky was overcast as we were heading back toward the building my co-worker pointed to the sky and exclaimed "what the hell is that?". What I saw appeared to be a very large triangle shaped craft, kind of a mix between a boomerang and triangle shape. If I had to be more exact, I would say it looked like a hang glider. I only saw it for a couple of seconds, it appeared to be a gray color and seemed to have a dim glow to it with no external lighting visible. It was traveling very fast and disappeared into the overcast.
second sighting:
On May 28th 2009 at around 1am, the same co-worker and myself again were in the same area dumping trash. The weather was clear, no wind and quiet. I happen to look to the west and saw something dimly lit and coming towards our position, the track of the object was from west to east and I estimate it's altitude to be approximately one to two thousand feet. As it passed, it had a dim gray glow and made no sound. I could see what appeared to be the lights of the city reflecting off of it as it passed over them. I estimate the size to be roughly the size of a Boeing 737 commercial airliner. After it passed our position, it appeared to bank sharply and that is when we saw the same triangle or Hang glider shape we had seen three weeks earlier. There were no external lights but was easy to see because of the dim glow it seemed to have. I am a poor judge of speed, but it was moving very fast. My co-worker estimated it was traveling at least 400 to 500 MPH. The one thing that stands out about the whole incident, is how there seemed to be electricity in the air, like static electricity, like your hair was standing on end. It took several minutes to get over that feeling.
A witness on the Atlantic coast at Tybee Island near Savannah, Georgia watched the same object appear in the night sky on multiple nights - a large white object shaped like a boomerang - where a red light flashed on the object twice. On subsequent nights, the object was a no-show.
Georgia, May 19, 2009 - UFO was still with one red light that flashed twice over a half hour period
We were on vacation on Tybee Island which is straight east of Savannah, Georgia. We stayed on the 2nd floor which had an Atlantic Ocean view from patio doors in the living room. There were no palm trees, etc., hiding any of the view of the sky or ocean. I woke up & walked into the living room on Wednesday, May 20th at 1:50AM. I sat on the sofa & was looking out the doors. It was dark out, of course, but what I could see was this white object that was obviously too large to be a star. I got out my binoculars for a closer look. It appeared to be shaped like a boomerang. I saw a red light flash twice on the UFO. Each flash wasn't in sequence. The object was still for several hours. (1:50am til around 6am) Around 6am, dawn was coming. The UFO very slowly moved upwards & to the east. I was so excited to see this UFO! It was the first time I could actually say I saw a real UFO. When I first noticed this UFO, in 5 seconds time, I was trying to rationalize that it was a commercial plane, then a helicopter. I knew what I was really seeing.
The next morning, Thursday, May 21st, around 4:30am, I woke up & again went straight to the living room to see if the UFO was in the sky. It was. Using my binoculars, it appeared to be the exact shape as the UFO seen the morning before. It was again in the same position. I know this because of the distance from the top of the railing of the patio & the division of the doors. I also had someone else look this time & he agreed with me on the shape of the object. It was cloudy this night. I wasn't quite as excited this night. I watched it til 6am then left the room.
The following morning, May 22nd, 2009, around 4:30am, the UFO was again in the same position. The difference this night was seeing 2 ships in the ocean that were quite a distance away to the human eye. The ships weren't directing below the UFO but to the north some. The ships didn't move. There were very bright lights the length of both ships. I had used my binoculars again to see the ships.
The UFO never showed up on Saturday, May 23rd or Sunday, May 24th.
Observing from a beach in South Carolina, multiple witnesses watched a disc-shaped object in the sky, with some unusual light activity directly underneath it.
South Carolina, May 27, 2009 - Off east coast beach, numerous large yellow-orange lights.
There seems to be a tilted disc shaped object with red to green lights very small, stationary 15 to 25 degrees or so above the horizon. Around this object are numerous, sporadic flashes the size of stars but the flashes are bright enough to attract the eye. These flashes are occurring below the red/green object. Directly below it a series of 4 to 5 very bright and large flame colored lights appeared, lighting up in a random sequence with the last one flashing off to the north at an unbelievable speed. This same type of formation-like bright lights occurred again two more times, with the second time occurring further to the south and the third time occurring in between the first and second occurrences.
The tilted disc object is the only object in question as to whether it is something totally unnatural to the eye or if it's the eye trying to focus on a planet. The other flashes and bright light formations were quite obvious and observed by several people on the beach.
My son saw the first formation and ran to tell me a half block from the ocean. I walked down and observed the other two occurrences and all the flashes in the sky. We are near an airport but the airplanes were very easy to discern from the ufo activity. All the planes turned north away from the occurrences.
I, and everyone on the beach, about 8 people, were very excited. I believe I was screaming. The flashes stopped and after 20 or so minutes there were no more formations occurring. Everyone had then left the beach so I left just for my own comfort.
This Oregon witness saw an oval-shaped object flying south overhead.
Oregon, May 26, 2009 - Saw similar object as that guy in Portland.
Was sitting in my son's car facing west. Looking up about 45%, I noticed a commercial airliner at about 20,000 ft. with a long contrail. While seeing this, my eye was caught by a really bright oval also flying south, as bright as the high wispy clouds, going pretty much even with the ground. If I held out my hand & measured with my fingers, as long as my pinky is wide. It appeared to be flying just below the clouds, faster than the jet. I tried hard to make out a tail or wings (no contrail behind it) but it's edges were too fuzzy. If I could identify a commercial passenger jet flying at 20k, why couldn't I identify an aircraft flying lower & closer? I pointed it out to my son when he got back in the car; he squinted at it & said it was just a plane. I let it go & forgot about it until I saw the report & pics from near Portland Airport which is about 15-20 miles north of here. Same shape but bright white.
An Arizona witness got a call from his daughter about radio reports describing up to 16 discs in the sky above Chandler. Stepping outside, the witness first observed two white, shiny discs in the sky, and then saw seven more. Some of these lights were flying in formations - one in a triangle formation.

My daughter called me stating that the local radio is talking about 11 to 16 disks in the sky above Chandler (she was driving to work and couldn't see).
I went out my front door talking to her and initially looked in the direction of Chandler, NW, to try and see what she was talking about. Didn't see anything and joked with her about needing to drive into Chandler to try and observe what the radio was talking about. Said good byes. I then went back out and leaned on my Honda roof and slowly started to scan the sky in the direction of Chandler.
I then came across 2 white/shiny disks/orbs at about a 35degree angle. They were side by side with about a pinky width between them. I then continued scanning the skyline, due to the reported 11 to 16, and ended up observing 7 more white/shiny orbs/disks at about a 45 degree angle that stuck out against the clear blue sky. This second set of obrs/disks were in 2 groups.
One group of three were in a triangle pattern while the other was in a box formation (one orb/disk in each corner of a "box" and a "triangle" formation. Ran in and told my wife (which she just laid there) and then grabbed the camera and proceeded to take 40 pictures with my Vivitar, vivicam 5386, 3x zoom f=5.4-16.2mm.
By this time my wife walked out to see what I was talking about (her eyes were still adjusting to waking up, and didn't see anything). She advised I should wake up my 8yr old to have her come look. During the whole time of observing, I was quite elated that I FINALLY got to see things in the sky. My eyes kept feeling weird, trying to adjust on such small objects. An Indiana witness watched a low flying orange sphere moving at a high rate of speed near Rockville, Indiana. The object stopped and hovered for about five minutes, before darting suddenly out of the area.
Indiana, May 11, 2009 - Large glowing orange orb hovers low over field.
At approximately 11:20 pm EST on 5/11/2009 I spotted a low flying orange sphere approximately 1 mile north-east of the Rockville Woman's Prison in Rockville, IN. The object moved at a fast speed across the sky before stopping, suddenly. It hovered for approximately 5 minutes before abruptly disappearing from sight.
The night in question was clear, with temps in the low 50's.
A man in Victoria, Texas, saw what looked like a blinking star in the sky - then "three round looking objects flew by." The witness said the objects "seemed to be moving around one another." This behavior of light - where there are multiple lights moving around each other as they cross the sky, has been reported by a number of witnesses recently.
Texas, May 26, 2009 - was looking at a star when all of a sudden 3 objects flew by!
I was watching the basketball game between Cleveland and Orlando and I decided to walk out the front door to look up in the sky! I noticed a star that seemed to be blinking in the northwest sky and then 3 round-looking objects flew by, they did not have any lights or anything to make them noticeable. The first object was followed by the other 2 and they seemed to be moving around one another. They were going too fast to be conventional aircraft! They were flying from north to south over the city of Victoria, Texas. I tried to yell at my wife to come outside but she didn't hear me when I told her my story she laughed. This is the first time I've seen something like this. This sighting reminded me of the one they had in Mexico that was reported by the military that's how fast these objects were moving approx. I watched them for a few seconds the trees blocked any further viewing! I did not bother to call the authorities because they'd laugh at me!
A Michigan witness out watching the night sky near a lake observed two objects shaped like a crescent moon at the tree line level. "Each moon shape was outlined in a bright almost neon-sign red. In the middle of each moon shape was a bright pure white LED type of light." The objects slowed down and hovered over the lake, while a third light appeared directly above the witness. One of the two objects over the lake suddenly began to descend - and as it moved toward the ground its shape turned into a "single ball of orange light." The second object followed in the same pattern. The third object moved away. Then another ball of orange light came over the lake to the area who the two balls of lights had descended.
Michigan, May 22, 2009 - 3 Glowing red crescent-shaped objects with white LED insides turn into orange balls of light
It was a beautiful clear black sky filled with millions of stars night as I sat on the edge of the lake sitting there relaxing and stargazing. I had been sitting out there for about a half an hour when these objects came into my view.
As I was sitting there to my right out from the tree line came 2 separate objects that looked like crescent moons chained together. I believe each object was composed of 4 of these "moon" shapes. Each moon shape was outlined in a bright almost neon-sign red. In the middle of each moon shape was a bright pure white LED type of light. These objects did not have any type of blinking or FAA type lights or strobes. Both of these objects were quite low like in a flight to the airport. Just above the tree line. There was no noise at all.
As I sat there glued to my seat thinking and trying to make sense of what I was seeing - I then noticed that these objects were not flying like a regular aircraft -they seemed to be gliding with the 1 object leading and the other following close behind by maybe a few hundred feet. Then I thought maybe it was the space shuttle. It almost reminded me of that when we were able to see that a couple years ago from the ground. Then I thought that theses objects were way to low to the ground to be the space shuttle. That's when I got a little shaky in the knees and stood up.
When I stood up these 2 objects slowed down and stopped briefly over the lake . The 1st object flashed a white light to the other and they continued to glide on. As this happened. I saw a light just above me. It was the same type of object as over the lake but it was following over the trees on the bank of the lake. Again, no noise. This object was following in line is what it looked like with the two objects on the lake.
So now there were 3 identical objects I was following. I made my way to the pier and went out and watched the objects. The two were still following each other with the other object off to the side in tandem flying over the tree line. Then I observed the two objects following each other stop as they got over the other side of the lake and stop dead. Then the 1st lead object started going down. As it went down it turned into a single ball of orange light. Then the second object that was following the first did the same. They became smaller and smaller in the sky to 2 points of faint orange pinpoints of light . I lost sight of the other 3rd object and can only say I saw it go in that direction over the tree line also.
I keep watching as the pinpoints just stayed in the sky. I then kept looking around. I then saw a small ball of orange light come out of the sky over the farmers field from where the original two objects came from. This object was very tiny like a porch light. It did not have any other colors of light, strobes or anything. No noise and low. It just buzzed over the lake and went to meet the other 2 pinpoints of orange light.
Father and daughter watched a silent, bright white glowing orb moving southeast toward Reno.
Nevada, May 26, 2009 - Big bright orb...again.
My daughter and I were coming out of our garage when we saw a very large and silent bright white glowing non pulsing, orb flying overhead going northwest to southeast. It flew towards Reno and when it hit this tiny puff of a cloud it disappeared. It was just beautiful. The time is not exact but I remember the sun was not down enough that we could see stars. We did see a low flying helicopter going over Reno for a nice contrast. This was the largest orb we've seen.
An Ohio witness saw some strange light activity over Genoa, Ohio. There were two red blinking lights and one fainter blue light in the middle. This trio of lights was vertical at first, and then became horizontal. He went home and climbed up on his roof to get a better view - finding the lights horizontal again, and now with two blue lights.
Ohio, May 25, 2009 - Strange light pattern, very bright, not like aircraft recognition lights.
I was coming home from work on State Rt. 163 east bound, when about 4 miles out of town, I noticed these strange lights. Now, working in aviation the last 8 years (I am not a pilot, but I have flown a lot), I knew it didn't look like an aircraft, for some reason I thought it was a cell tower light.
But then it hit me, There is only one light at the very top of those cell towers where I live. I have lived there my whole life. These lights were 2 very bright red blinking lights with a blueish faint light in the middle that just stayed on and didn't blink.
At first, the 2 red lights were vertical of each other, then they kind moved apart slightly horizontally. At this point, I knew I was seeing something very strange. That's when it hit me, this thing was right over Genoa, like it was hovering, and I noticed the red strobe light on top of the water tower in Genoa at the park.
At this point, I was about 2 miles out from town still in the country. What I noticed, was that these lights were in between the water tower light and SR163. Well, I rushed into town and home and parked my truck. Mind you, once in town you don't have a good view of anything in the sky due to the trees in town.
So I rushed up on the roof to see if I could get a better look at this whatever it was. I got all the way up to the peak of the second story (very steep and painfull I might add) and I could see the lights which looked like they were just over the top of the north side of town. Now, the red lights were now vertical again, and blinking very slowly and very brightly. The blueish-white light now turned into 2 lights of the same color very faint and very close together, with the trailing one being slightly lower than than the lead one.
This is where things really got strange for me, the lights were moving at a snail's pace, I was on that roof for 2 minutes, here's another kicker, NO NOISE, none whatsoever, no prop noise, no jet noise no chopper noise, nothing, dead silence.
I then immediately jumped off the roof while it looked like it was still due north of me and jumped in my truck with my brother (he came out do to the noise of someone running around on the roof) and immediately headed west out of town. I only live 4 blocks from the western edge of town, and one block north of SR163, It only took me 30 seconds to get back out in the open country fields. By the time I got out there, these lights were already miles away, but still very bright. Maybe you guys can come up with an explanation.
A group out on a river in Merill, Wisconsin, watched a bright reddish-orange ball of light moving south across the sky. The silent object moved in a "smooth" manner, witnesses said.
Wisconsin, May 24, 2009 - Round object moving in random directions ending in fade to nothing.
Me and 5 other individuals were out on the river in Merrill, Wisconsin when one person notices a bright reddish-orange ball moving south in the sky across the skyline. It was clearly not a airplane or anything of that sort because has a very clear solid glow with no blinking. Also, the object was close enough where there was no sound and it had very smooth movement.
After the initial person noticed, several others viewed this object move above the trees probably a half mile away and when the object moved to the southwest of our position it changed direction suddenly and started moving east where it was not behind us. Initially viewing this from the bottom of the hill, we ran up the hill and saw the object directly above the treeline looking due south and the object stopped. At this time I pulled out my camera phone to video the object, right after this, the object, which was approximately 1 to 2 miles in the distance, but maintaining the same shape and glow, appeared to slowly diminish. It appeared as though it was moving away but to us viewers it was like the light turned off.
One onlooker thought that the light at one point while it was moving from west to east, actually went east then back west then back east again before stopping and fading away. We were all shocked by this and all believed we saw something that should be considered a ufo. One of the viewers even stated in 20 years living here he'd never seen anything like that.
Two witnesses sitting outside at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, watched a red light "dancing in the sky." The video they shot has a lot of movement in it and looks rather poor.
Nevada, May 26, 2009 - Red light making rapid change in direction over Las Vegas.
My friend and I were sitting by the pool area in long pool chairs at the Wynn Casino looking at the sky as we were waiting to go to the airport to catch a flight that left at 11pm. I was looking up and thought I saw a shooting star, then I looked to the right and saw this red light dancing in the sky, and the moves that it was doing were unbelievable. It would basically zig-zag up, down, all around instantly leaving some type of trail behind it. I got out my camera and took video and my friend was able to snap some still photos. I was in amazement and wish I had a better camera. I lost sight when a commercial plane flew by overhead which was landing at the airport close by.
A man watched a bright object in the sky "bigger than Venus" that was silent, and slow moving in a straight line.
California, May 27, 2009 - Bigger than venus bright white circle moving away from us
I was closing the blinds on my downstairs front that window looks south southeast right off of hwy 12 in Rincon Valley. I turned the blinds up to close them and I noticed between two separate slats a bright light as bright or brighter than Venus standing still. I thought it was Venus. It then started to move with what looked like a smaller less bright object behind it (the smaller one could have been a reflection). I then went out my front door to get a better look and didn't see the smaller one anymore. The object was almost directly over me and I think bigger than Venus moving south southeast slowly. It almost looked like an airplane when it has it's landing light on coming towards you, but it started going away from me and it didn't fade or pulse or start blinking, just a steady bright light not any further up than a plane unless it was huge?! It seemed to be moving slow at first and pretty much straight. I ran inside and called my wife and told her to look out the upstairs bedroom window. By the time I came out, it was further than I thought it would be by how slow it was moving. It had went from over me to the horizon to the south southeast that I could see above the hoses across the way from me. My wife saw the bright light and said "what the hell?" It then kept moving in the same direction away from us and the just faded out to nothing. No blinking lights, no sound, nothing, almost instantly.. I don't think it was a plane, helicopter or satellite.
Well, there's no report of a UFO here - but a quite detailed account of being chased through the woods by what the witnesses thought was an invisible entity.
Missouri, May 26, 2009 - Chased from the woods by invisible entity
Ok boys and girls, this is a good one. So Doug and I are in his backyard adjacent to the Rockwoods State Park at about 6:30 Tue eve. And a contractor is doing some repair on his deck when I hear what sounds like a baby deer vocalizing for it's mother approx. 100 yards into the woods on the other side of the creek. The contractor heard it as well and we talked about it having apparently lost it's mother. Doug and I went out to eat and came back about 3 hours later and we could still hear this baby crying in the woods. Doug metioned how he'd like to have a baby deer to raise so I took the flashlight and headed into the woods. It just rained so the bank was muddy and sloppy but I half slid down to the creek and stepped on a large stone to jump across.
The opposite bank was steeper and covered with short growth plants and small trees. I scrambled up the bank and onto the first of several terraced flat areas and stopped to listen for the baby. Still not hearing I went further into the woods in the direction I had last heard it. Doug remained on the house side of the creek and he called out if that was humans talking. (Later he said it sounded like kids giggling but very sinister) I said no (I didn't hear that part) and stood waiting for the baby to say something.
Still no sound so I went another 50 yards to another creek all the while scanning the area with the rechargable spot light. I turned off the light to see if the baby would call out again but heard nothing. Still no sound so I turned the light on again which then rapidly faded out and was useless with no warning. I could just make out the house lights through the trees but otherwise it was completely pitch black around me. I gave up the search and was just starting to head back when I hear what sounded like a human pretending to whine like a puppy just inches from my right foot. I could hear it rustle the leaves so I called out "Come here boy, it's alright"
But then it occurred to me that it did not sound like a real dog so I hurried to exit as quick as I could fighting through bushes and small trees dense enough to warrant breaking and plowing and I could hear the sound of the rustling leaves right behind me. The two whines occurred again and this time it sounded like it was giggling as it made the sound. Right on my heels and keeping up with my speed. I finally got back to the muddy creek bank and slid down it on my butt to the bottom (15 feet) and the whining sound happened again right from the edge I just slid down.
Doug said, "It sounds like it's right behind you". I ran through the creek this time looking for the best slope to get me out the gully. I took the lowest part (about 8 feet) and scrambled and clawed my way up the muddy bank and as I neared the top, Something flew right by my right ear making a strange whirling/giggling sound. Doug saw me come out of the gully and had full view of me while this happened. He heard it but could see nothing.
We both went up to the house, I breathing like I'd run a marathon. The unmistakable feeling that this thing was "Harassing" me was felt strongly by both of us. It had chased me out of the woods and now on retrospect have to wonder if this wasn't a trap, make a sound like a baby deer, lure the person into the woods and .....
It had 3 distinct and different vocalizations. Though it rustled the leaves was apparently invisible to the naked eye.
I've spent most of my adult life studying all aspects of scientific inquiry and my gut feeling was that was not normal. Doug is a well known wildlife veterinarian who could offer no reasonable explanation. It wasn't an animal.
