Date of Sighting: 25th May 2009
Time: 11.00pm

Witness Statement: After walking my dog last night I noticed three orange orbs of light slowly coming from a westwardly direction. One proceeding the other two. After a few minutes the lead orb began to diminish in brightness and a few seconds later the others followed suit.

About 5 minutes later when I was home I noticed from my landing window, another two orbs in the sky, again coming from the west, coming in a vertical line, one above the other, these again after a few minutes slowly looked as if they were traveling towards Grantham, and then they too began to diminish in brightness, one after the other with a few seconds between.

There was no sound from any of them, being an aerospace engineer, they weren't aircraft navigation and anti-collision beacons. They were also too orange to be aircraft take off lights, plus they looked as if they were flying in formation. So frankly i am quite baffled. Can any one explain these??
