Date of Sighting: 19th May 2009
Location of Sighting: Langford/Shute 5 miles west of Exeter
Time: 12 midnight

Witness Statement: Hi, I went out last night around 12 midnight( Tue. 19 may 2009) into the field next to my house to see a helicopter above Langford/Shute 5 miles west of Exeter. Nothing unusual there, except this one was hovering with no spotlight around the fields here. I didn't see anything other than the helicopter but for some weird reason I felt this was different, like maybe it was looking for something, but it felt strange. There were no search lights and round here I recognize the different types of copters as we get them everyday/night on the military flight path. Anyway as it turned towards me I got frightened and went to go home, but it hung around a bit and went off. For some reason it all felt strange. I don't normally feel scared at the site of a helicopter. But I was on my own in the field and it was spooky.

Next morning I turn up to work in Mt Dinham Exeter and an elderly friend who has no computer says that she saw a helicopter with a red and green light hovering slowly above the houses as St. Davids round about the same time as I saw em, except she said she thought at first she saw two stars in the sky near the copter but eventually realised they were too big to be stars and that the Star was in fact a shining golden man in a sort of spacesuit and another shining orb of gold/orange on the other side of the copter which she said had a man on a pole dangling at right angles to the copter I guess as if to try and catch it? Then the copter and orbs moved off west towards Langford, which is where I saw it. What do you make of this? I guess someone was chasing these small stars.
