Letter to the Editor -

I was walking on the outskirts of Ayia Napa at 1am on May 19th 2009 with my friend when I noticed two bright white triangular shaped lights moving fast from sea over land, like a pyramid on top of a pyramid one in front of the other both exactly the same size, shape, colour and brightness.

I got a real good look at them, the front one slowed down while the rear one seemed to merge into the front one to become one perfect triangle then it sped off and the light turned out and disappeared.

Very bizarre, I have been trying to think of an explanation since but have none.

They moved very fast and my sighting was over in a couple of seconds, my friend only caught a glimpse in the corner of his eye.
