Three reports made to MUFON within the past 48 hours, plus a fourth report made directly to UFO Traffic Report today, if believed, suggest that the number of UFO "hot spots" in the U.S. may be increasing. Keep in mind that this is an unscientific and casual observation, after reading MUFON reports daily for more than four months.
Other similar cases occurred recently in Salt Lake City, Utah, and in a small Iowa town. Most "hot spots" tend to describe larger regions, rather than a single town or specific location. Both Texas and Pennsylvania earned "hot spot" status recently after experiencing higher than average reports over the past year when compared with other states.
Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. You can read my selected cases by type of UFO report at the UFO Traffic Report index page.
The following reports and their headlines are unedited.
The first case is from Rogers City, Michigan, where the witness is observing UFOs on a regular basis for five years from his hunting camp just outside of town. He says of this most recent sighting, that the UFO flew into view, "powered up," then continued cruising until it was out of sight - something he has observed almost every night. He then observes an F16 heading toward the object. Without access to the witness, I'm not sure what he means by the object being "powered up." He does offer a single photo, though - where the original shows one bright light, and two dimmer lights in the sky - forming a diamond pattern. The photo was cropped and enlarged to show only the brighter of the three lights.

Last night, my girlfriend and I saw a UFO powerup and caught it on my digital camera. It is one of many sightings this week, here near Rogers City. I have a hunting camp outside of town and have been observing Ufo's for over five years here. I consider it a hot spot. The Ufo in the picture was traveling east and is the brightest spot to the right in the picture. There are two other orbs of light to the left, that were not seen when I snapped the photo, only the one to the right was visible.
It flew in, powered up and continued cruising until it was out of sight. This is common here, I see them almost every night. After viewing it for maybe two minutes, we saw, what I presume was an F-16 heading toward the object. This is also very frequent. The F-16's kinda patrol a perimeter around the area of my camp all day and night. I would like to have someone with the right equipment film the sky around my camp for a few nights, if the sky is clear, I promise you will see exactly what I have been watching for years. On the East Coast, this Pittsgrove, New Jersey witness has reported multiple UFOs. In this recent case, he spotted one UFO to the north, described as an orange, spinning disc, that was stationary for about 30 minutes before moving northwest. Then four more UFOs appeared in the sky, hovering for about 25 minutes before moving on.
New Jersey, May 13, 2009 - 4 UFOs to the northeast . 1 UFO to the northwest . 1/2 a mile away. 200 feet off ground.
Well again at 11 pm . We walked to the drive way once again . There was 1 UFO to the north . It was orange and it was a disc. It looked like orange fireball .
After a while about 30 minutes of it being stationary . It moved to the northwest . Sat there for another 15 minutes it was spinning disc . Then four more popped up to the northeast. Sat there stationary for about 25 more minutes . They were the same type of UFOs I have been reporting!
2 weeks ago as well from this date. There was a craft that landed in Green Branch Park. It was all different.... it was like the same crafts I've been explaining. The guy that lives back in them woods called, the NJ state police in Bridgeton NJ. 451-0101 area code 856 . There was state police all over looking for these lights! I do not know what they saw? Green Branch Park is on my road right in front of my house to the north ...
One ufo flew over my house, took out my lights and had a humming weird sound, very weird about 2 days ago.
Every time I go outside with my digital camera the batteries drain real fast and my watch stops! I would be lucky if I get 4 shots with my cam until my batteries go, as of being drained .
There is massive UFO activity / the paranormal on my road and at Green Branch Park / Garden Road.
Two Arkansas brothers saw UFOs that they say first looked like stars. Some move fast; others slow. Sometimes they hover for extended periods of time. During the evening described below, they counted 16 moving over the sky. Then they saw helicopters moving into the area. They describe their area as a UFO hot spot.

This area in the bottoms beside the Arkansas River Dam is a major hot spot - Major.
I have more ufo reports including ribbons of light that looked like the one's in Stephensville Texas and Kokomo Indiana. We watched that thing for 50 minutes, we didn't leave till we felt it was safe.
But this, my little brother (age 17) and me (age 23) were on a hill in the bottoms about to watch the stars. We notice some of them moving like we had never saw before... and we watch the stars every night now. We've seen thousands of satellites, meteors, even a few comets, and can pick out planets, we are Not mistaking these, they are some type of space crafts flying in space.
We saw one, it looked just like a star, they all did, different sized stars kinda. It was moving away from us and my little brother spotted another. Then we saw another on coming in, and it was moving faster, then slower (there was no wind blowing, and again, they were in space as high as the stars are), not only faster and slower, but side to side, and stopping for extended periods.
We counted about 16 and they were moving all around, EVERYWHERE. Then we started noticing helicopters circling the bottoms and one came around and was circling us. You could see his rutter kind've turning, so I took off to leave, and when I got back to my house 3 of 4 miles back, I noticed the same helicopter was going on ahead of my house, and my little brother told me the whole time he was following us.
There is crazy things going on in Arkansas, I don't know about the rest of America or the world... Come on Obama just let this knowledge out, how can we change the world with such secrets?????

For the last year my family and I have been watching star like pulsating objects in the sky. These are stationary objects and have been there and are there even now. The numbers have been as high as 15 in one night and as few as 3 but they are always there. The colors are red blue green and a brilliant white that rotate. They can be seen with the naked eye but with binoculars you can see them better more distinctly. I know of no craft that can remain in an orbit within our atmosphere for such an extended period of time. They can be seen any clear night of the week. I have shown them to several people and nobody knows what they are. I wish I had a powerful telescope to watch them through but they are expensive and out of my budget range. Have you ever had anyone investigate these objects or report them to you?
These objects are not natural objects or stars! They have been here off and on for a year now. They are in different spots in the sky you have to look for them but they are there and the distinctive color pattern of rotating lights can be seen with the naked eye on a clear night. However the rotating lights can be seen better with binoculars. You just cant zoom in, as it causes distortion of the view due to the great distance and unsteady hands.
I'm 54 years old, and have watched the heavens all my life and until last year have never seen these objects in the night sky. As I said in my prior letter to you there have been as many as 15 and as few as 3 but they are out there, somewhere, every clear night. I have shown them to many people and they are all shocked to see them even with the naked eye. My daughter has a friend who has a telescope that is so large its mounted on a trailer. I am going to try and get him to bring it here form Indy. So we can have a proper look at what ever it is. If we get some good quality movie footage or pictures.
Just as a side note it seems to me they have all come to watch the show, like they know something that we don't and have come to watch the event. What natural disaster or earth changing event could be coming that would warrant such interest of the other people of the universe? I'm not so close minded as to think we are alone here in this vast universe. How can mankind think we are alone? We have such startling evidence that we are not, and yet some choose to ignore this for what ever reason. Be it national security or simple fear of the unknown. Just because we don't understand something doesn't mean it's not possible it only means we don't as yet understand it. Please understand and know this, they are here for a reason and that reason is more cause for wonder than the fact that they are here, to me!!!! We are fast approaching the end date of Dec.21, 2012. Yellowstone caldera is how many years past due, The great wobble about the axis is coming up when we enter the center in 2012. Now this great influx of activity in the night sky, sounds to me like they have come to witness these up and coming events as would any advanced life form who can travel through space. That ability alone brings to mind a great knowledge base and history of vast and endless possibilities.
