Ten persons have sought medical assistance in Nevelsk on Sakhalin Island after the Sunday morning earthquake measuring four points on the Richter scale.


"Ten persons - five men and five women - aged 21 to 62 were admitted to the Nevelsk central hospital following the aftershock underground tremor that occurred at 9:22 a.m. local time on Sunday, "Interfax was told at the Sakhalin region division of the Emergency Situations' Ministry.

All the patients are local residents. They were injured mainly in the process of evacuation from buildings. None of the injuries is lethal.
