In one of only a few mainstream news reports on the US government's reversal, the Detroit News stated: The State Department didn't revoke the visa of foiled terrorism suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab because federal counter-terrorism officials had begged off revocation, a top State Department official revealed Wednesday. Patrick F. Kennedy, an undersecretary for management at the State Department, said Abdulmutallab's visa wasn't taken away because intelligence officials asked his agency not to deny a visa to the suspected terrorist over concerns that a denial would've foiled a larger investigation into al-Qaida threats against the United States. "Revocation action would've disclosed what they were doing," Kennedy said in testimony before the House Committee on Homeland Security. Allowing Adbulmutallab to keep the visa increased chances federal investigators would be able to get closer to apprehending the terror network he is accused of working with, "rather than simply knocking out one soldier in that effort." ABC News also reported: Federal agents also tell ABCNews.com they are attempting to identify a man who passengers said helped Abdulmutallab change planes for Detroit when he landed in Amsterdam from Lagos, Nigeria. If the government decides that saving money is good, it would automatically divert a percentage of your paycheck into a savings account in your name unless you explicitly declined. Supporters claim that this preserves freedom because government is only changing the default, while leaving individuals the final choice. He's addressed ear mark spending, lobbying limits and transparency, changing political discourse, the super-majority dictated by the Republican minority leadership (60% majority needed to do anything), and further tax cuts for education and child credits. The demonstrators were offered no water or medical attention and many were left with no choice but to urinate in their clothes. Danish police numbered today's demonstration at the Climate Summit in Copenhagen at 30,000 people, but Danish TV tripled that figure to at least 100,000. The British Telegraph reported that 21 people were arrested "after some 300 youths, many wearing black and with their faces covered, went on the rampage in the heart of the city." If recent experience at the G20 demonstrations in London and Pittsburgh is anything to go by, we naturally wonder if they were incited to serve as a distraction and justify a heavy-handed police response. When asked what the "youths" were arrested for, a police spokesman said that wearing a mask on your face was illegal under Danish law. Psychology Today's September edition (pictured left) also fans the flames, it is entitled Dark Minds: When does incredulity become paranoia. With Alex Jones the centerpiece, it makes the case that those seeking the truth are essentially a product of mental instability, by elevating him to 'Conspiracy King' status and associating his readers as mentally ill. In a similar vein, the Salon article presents a parent's concern that their son had become sucked into "the Internet conspiracy black hole created by some guy named Alex Jones." The request for help to guide their nephew "away from this cultish fear-monger" is met with this advice: "I do not want to conclude without making explicit that if he has dyslexia or some kind of attention-deficit disorder, those are things that should be diagnosed and treated on their own. If his mother's coddling has prevented him from facing up to these possible problems, that could be adding to his anxiety. So I would definitely, in addition to the camping trip, or wilderness expedition, do what you can to bring to light any organic, diagnosable and treatable conditions he may have." In both of these articles we have the suggestion that: Alternative views to the mainstream media found on the internet have been created and led by Alex Jones; and people who are attracted to these views have some form of learning difficulty or psychological disorder. At the same time there has also been a great deal of recent press coverage on Charlie Sheen's recent partnership questioning the official 9/11 story. The Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail reported an almost identical article: Sheen, who appears in the hit comedy series Two And A Half Men, made his claims in the transcript of a fictional encounter with Mr Obama, called Twenty Minutes With The President. It was published on the website of radio show host Alex Jones, two days ahead of Sheen's appearance on Jones's show today. Most of his observations make up the basis of all the conspiracy theories surrounding the terror attack. Those who support the theories in the U.S. are known as Truthers. Both newspapers are considered to be 'right wing' outlets that support a conservative/Republican agenda. They normally shy away from reporting any stories that question the official conspiracy that the government is complicit. Why now is Alex Jones getting so much media attention? This apparatus, which includes various levels of the government is determining U.S. foreign policy. In every political hotspot - El Salvador, the so-called arc of crisis in the Persian Gulf, Latin America, Southeast Asia and in Africa - the goal of U.S. foreign policy is population reduction. The targeting agency for the operation is the National Security Council's Ad Hoc Group on Population Policy. Its policy-planning group is in the U.S. State Department's Office of Population Affairs, established in 1975 by Henry Kissinger. This group drafted the Carter administration's Global 2000 document, which calls for global population reduction, and the same apparatus is conducting the civil war in El Salvador as a conscious depopulation project. "There is a single theme behind all our work-we must reduce population levels," said Thomas Ferguson, the Latin American case officer for the State Department's Office of Population Affairs (OPA). "Either they [governments] do it our way, through nice clean methods or they will get the kind of mess that we have in El Salvador, or in Iran, or in Beirut. Population is a political problem. Once population is out of control it requires authoritarian government, even fascism, to reduce it. "The professionals," said Ferguson, "aren't interested in lowering population for humanitarian reasons. That sounds nice. We look at resources and environmental constraints. We look at our strategic needs, and we say that this country must lower its population - or else we will have trouble". With little in the way of visible evidence in the world around them, it's understandable that someone reading this report in 1981 would mentally file it away as a Crazy Conspiracy Theory.
