Passionate over rejuvinating human rights (not a "bill of rights") in a country (Australia) where democracy has been all but buried.

Our constitution is regularly ignored by government. Laws requiring referendum are passed without same. Common law is being undermined and made obsolete, thus undermining property rights (given only under common law).

We are given all the sport we could need to keep us barracking for our favourite teams, and all the sleaze we could want from opur favourite movie and TV personalities to keep us amused.

Once every few years, we have the opportunity to exercise our "democratic" right to toss out the government that won the previous election by lies and broke all its election promises, and to return the government we threw out a few years ago for the same reason.
