OF THE
TIMES
I grew up in a religious cult in Missouri. I became aware of the world "outside the box" when I was 9 or 10. My sister and I had several sightings of the Black Boomerangs. The last one involved it hovering only a few feet above our heads.I ran away when I was 15 and I started searching. The answers that my Bible based upbringing had offered just couldn't answer all of my questions. My life spiraled down hill as I searched for a place that I fit in. The only really happy element in my life was acting at a small community theatre. I discovered this website in 2006 in a dusty computer lab at a local college. To quote my journal, " the pieces of the puzzle started clicking into place so quickly that I was afraid the other people in the room would hear them." I have enjoyed this site ever since. My partner and his whole family are readers of the site, we have rousing discussions about many topics, sometimes late into the night. My son was born in January of this year, so I am a little busier now but I still love the site.
