Schumer has advocated for UFO transparency since taking up the cause from his late mentor, Harry Reid.

For two of Washington's most diametrically opposed political figures, there is a newfound common ground: whether the truth is out there.

President Donald Trump and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., have butted heads since the former came to Washington, D.C. But now both want to expose whether there is life beyond the stars.

Their newfound unity on the subject conjoins a passion of Schumer's and a moment of expedience for Trump.

Comment:
The alien files are coming soon!

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth just confirmed that the process of releasing all government files related to UFOs and extraterrestrial life is underway.

In his first public remarks on the subject, Hegseth hilariously noted that he did not have this on his "bingo card" but that people are already working on declassifying everything. When asked if he believes in the existence of aliens, Hegseth answered, "we'll see." He gets to find out along with everyone else! Watch here:

Reuters has more:
President Donald Trump said on Thursday he would direct federal agencies to begin releasing government files related to aliens and unidentified flying objects, pointing to what he described as strong public interest in the issue.

Trump, without providing evidence, accused former President Barack Obama of improperly disclosing classified information when discussing aliens publicly, saying Obama "made a big mistake.""He took it out of classified information ... He's not supposed to be doing that," Trump told reporters while traveling to Georgia.

During an interview with podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen released on Saturday, Obama was asked if aliens were real.
"They're real, but I haven't seen them, and they're not being kept in ... Area 51. There's no underground facility unless there's this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States."

Donald Trump has directed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to release government files related to aliens, extraterrestrial life and UFOs.

Trump made the announcement just hours after he lashed out at Barack Obama for allegedly sharing classified information when he appeared to confirm that aliens exist while speaking on a podcast.

'Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War... to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)' Trump wrote on Truth Social Thursday night.

He added they aim to release 'any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters.'

Comment: It will be interesting to see how redacted the released files will be due to "national security".

'Disclosure' film director says Trump has a UFO speech ready to deliver

Documentary filmmaker Dan Farah appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast in November to promote his new documentary, The Age of Disclosure, and predicted that his film might force Trump to become the first world leader to confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life publicly.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it happens soon after the film comes out — the sitting president has to step to the microphone and say: humanity is not alone in the universe," Farah told Rogan. "We have recovered technology of non-human origin. So have other nations. There is a high-stakes, secret cold war race to reverse engineer this technology. We need to win this race."

"I think Trump might be the only guy that's willing to do something that crazy," Rogan replied.
Well, now Lara Trump, the president's daughter-in-law, let it slip during an appearance on the New York Post's Pod Force One podcast that Trump has a speech prepared confirming extraterrestrial life exists.

The Dragon's Eye: A Net Assessment of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) and Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) Engagement in the People's Republic of China

ufo graphic china investigation

Executive Summary: The Strategic Calculus of the Unknown

The global discourse regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), historically and colloquially termed Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), has undergone a radical and irreversible transformation in the third decade of the twenty-first century. No longer the exclusive domain of fringe speculation or tabloid curiosity, the subject has migrated decisively into the center of global defense strategy, legislative oversight, and high-level scientific inquiry.1

While the United States has publicly formalized its investigation through the establishment of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) and the release of unclassified reports by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the People's Republic of China (PRC) has engaged in a parallel, albeit significantly more opaque, mobilization of state resources to address what the People's Liberation Army (PLA) terms "Unidentified Air Conditions" (UAC).2

This report constitutes a high-level geopolitical and intelligence threat assessment focusing exclusively on the PRC's engagement with UAP and potential Non-Human Intelligence (NHI). Based on an exhaustive review of credible information from leading authorities, state media reports, academic papers, and intelligence snippets, this analysis posits that Beijing views UAP not merely as a scientific curiosity or a potential extraterrestrial event, but as an immediate, acute challenge to "air defense security," national sovereignty, and social stability.2

UFO intel documents stolen out of Russia reveal decade-long probes into alien encounters, abductions

george Knapp

Landmark UFO documents smuggled out of Russia 30 years ago — and just publicly revealed — show the Soviets investigated thousands of reports of extraterrestrial craft and encounters with aliens.

Legendary reporter George Knapp, 73, quietly released on Jan. 16 documents he smuggled out of Russia in 1993 under the nose of the KGB after the fall of the USSR in 1991.

The translated documents reveal the shocking extent to which the USSR and the post-Soviet Russian Federation probed the persistent phenomenon — despite the communist government officially deeming UFOs a concoction of war-mongering "American imperialists" in 1953.

The USSR commissioned several studies of UFOs beginning with the "Network-AN" program in 1979, continuing with "Galaxy-MD" from 1981-1985, "Pluton 7" in 1989 and 1990, and the continuing "Thread 3" program.

Landmark Brazilian UFO case reaches Capitol Hill as Varginha incident turns 30

OVER A LARGE BOX of untouched donuts in Washington's Longworth House Office Building, Congressional representatives sat rapt as a visiting Brazilian neurosurgeon described what it was like to stare back at the large lilac-colored eyes of a highly intelligent, nonhuman being.

So, not your usual Capitol Hill meeting.

The closed-door session on Jan. 15 brought together three members of Congress seeking greater government transparency on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, long called UFOs, and a group of Brazilians who say they witnessed the crash of an otherworldly spacecraft and later encountered its nonhuman occupants.

Coming thirty years after the striking events, the private Washington meeting (to which we alone had media access), followed by a public press conference five days later, raised the prospect of unprecedented Brazilian-American cooperation in unraveling the mysteries of one of the best researched — and shocking — UFO cases on record.

The witnesses included the highly respected neurosurgeon, a forensic pathologist, and a geography teacher. They were brought to the United States by filmmaker James Fox, who interviewed more than two dozen witnesses for a new feature documentary that expands on a 2022 version of his film Moment of Contact. Fox has been investigating the case, with his Brazilian counterpart Marco Aurelio Leal, for over two decades.

"This could settle the debate once and for all that we're not alone," Fox told the packed news conference, which he organized at the National Press Club on Jan. 20.

New allegations link former national intelligence leaders Clapper and O'Sullivan to UFO shoot-down and retrieval program

Clapper

Multiple sources have told Liberation Times that, during the Obama administration, senior intelligence figures James Clapper and Stephanie O'Sullivan oversaw a program relating to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

The sources allege the effort involved the shootdown and recovery of exotic vehicles thought to be of non-human origin.

Three separate sources told Liberation Times that Clapper allegedly ran the program alongside O'Sullivan, dating back to his tenure as Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence from 2007 to 2010.

During that period, O'Sullivan led the CIA's Directorate of Science and Technology before being promoted in 2009 to become the agency's third-most senior officer.

One source alleged to Liberation Times that Clapper and O'Sullivan oversaw a program codenamed 'Golden Domes,' which the source claimed was jointly run by the CIA and the United States Air Force (USAF), where Clapper previously served.

Liberation Times understands that an exotic vehicle of unknown origin has been stored for decades at Naval Air Station Patuxent River ('Pax River') in Maryland.

When asked, sources have declined to describe the vehicle or disclose where it was found.

However, it is understood that contingency plans may be in place to relocate the alleged craft if its current location were to be publicly identified.

Pax River is home to the headquarters of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and is a major center for naval aviation research, development, test and evaluation.

In 2020, the NAVAIR's FOIA reading room became the official repository for the 'Gimbal' and 'GoFast' Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) videos, which had circulated publicly for years before their formal release.

NAVAIR describes its mission as providing 'full life-cycle support' for naval aviation aircraft, weapons and systems used by Sailors and Marines - covering research and development, acquisition, test and evaluation, and sustainment.

New film delves into Bigfoot sightings and origins mystery

Is Bigfoot real
© David Wall via Getty Images
Bigfoot is everywhere these days, at least as the animated spokesperson in ads for a wide range of products and companies. If you dig deep enough, though, you would discover the legend of a huge, hair-covered creature living in the wild has been around for centuries, all over the world, including Nevada.

A former lawman has spent the last 17 years searching for the best evidence related to Bigfoot. He has come up with a theory that won't make anyone comfortable.

In the universe of so-called fringe science subjects, the different factions researching, say, poltergeists, UFOs, or Bigfoot and other mystery creatures don't get along all that well. They tend to regard the other subjects as a little crazy and want nothing to do with them. Former cop Dave Paulides spent nearly three years working on a documentary film that seems to link those topics together.

Madeira curse strikes again: Polish tourist found dead on Portuguese island

This incident occurred in November 2025. We're only posting it now because we missed it at the time.

The body of a missing 31-year-old Polish tourist has been found on the Portuguese island of Madeira.

Authorities confirmed the man from Poznań was discovered on Sunday in a steep, wooded area about 500 meters from a hiking trail near Levada dos Tornos in northern Madeira.

Police said the location was "difficult to access." The man had been missing since November 2 after setting out alone toward Pico Ruivo, the island's highest peak at 1,862 meters.

Five Portuguese security agencies took part in the week-long search, which was hampered by poor weather and rough terrain.

Later, the services said that there was no evidence of third-party involvement in the man's death, adding that he died as a result of a tragic accident.

The case adds to a pattern of disappearances in Madeira's mountains.

In the past five years, four young foreign hikers have disappeared without a trace - three of whom vanished between 2020 and 2021 - on the island's trails, Portuguese news outlet Noticias ao Minuto reported.

One of those missing was Polish ultramarathon runner Michał Kozek, who vanished while on holiday with his family in 2021.

Comment: This is actually the 7th case in 3 years of northern European hikers, usually very fit and younger men, disappearing on the island and then being found dead in 'inexplicable conditions'.
