Description: I heard some jet fighters going over the house. Living just off of wine-country, this is an odd occurrence. I could tell from the sound they were traveling low and slow (military veteran). I went outside to see if I could identify them out of boredom. I looked up to see them and saw the object. It was below the level of the clouds. I do not know the exact size, but it appeared about two-inches wide and a lit tail traveled behind it about five inches (from my perspective). It was disk-shaped and glowed with an intense white light that out-shown the sun. I immediately had to look away because of eye-strain from the light. It was zigzagging from South-southeast to a general northwest direction. The fighters continued to follow it, but it seemed oblivious to their presence. It disappeared behind some houses after only two minutes of travel in my field of view.

Description: The witness called and reported his sighting a day after it occurred. The witness saw a bright object moving southeast towards San Diego. He grabbed his cell phone and snapped two photos. The second photo is shown above. He reported the sighting to the media and was told no other reports had been received. The media told him that he saw a meteor, but none were reported in the area? No sound was heard.

The witness left a voice mail message containing his report about 12 hours after it occurred. He stated that he saw a large silent triangular object move over his house. The object emitted a dull red glow and had 3 pods (circles) on the bottom. He estimated that the object was only about 500 feet above the ground.

Description: This is the second time that I have seen this UFO. The last time there was two and this time there was only one, but there were 5 of my family members with me and we all saw it . It was just like before It was reddish-orange like in the color of fire. It was low maybe only 150 to 200 yards off of the ground. It did not really move too much. It made a slow vertical descent, stopped and faded out. For maybe 5 or 10 minutes it would reappear on down the coast and start over. It did this for about 45 minutes and then disappeared.

Witness Statement: I was looking at the stars. It was a brilliant clear night, no clouds without any aircraft due to the volcano in Iceland causing a no fly ban.

I saw an orangey red light, with a small amount of green. It was larger than a star and moved at a similar speed to a plane. It was traveling from the south-west to the south-east, low in the sky. My partner who is an aviator with over 7000 flying hours grabbed the binoculars. There was no sound and there were no navigation lights normally used for flying. He said he had never seen anything like it and it was definitely not a plane of any sort.

Witness Statement: I was at work and the planes had only just resumed service from the volcanic ash disruption. Me and a colleague saw a plane in the sky, so we went to the window to watch it, when we saw 3 white circle shapes in the sky underneath the plane. They kept moving round each other but following the plane. Two disappeared and one shot in front of the plane at some speed. At first we thought it was balloons but no way not at the speed it was traveling at. It kept moving round the plane and going underneath the plane, it was like it was taunting the plane. Then it disappeared but there was no clouds in the sky. Did anyone else see this?

Witness Statement: I was driving to work this morning when I saw a long white object in the sky. The reason it caught my eye is because it was moving so fast. This was not a plane or any sort of man made aircraft!!

It was moving really fast and as I was watching it, the speed reduced and almost came to a complete stand still and then disappeared?? I was left confused?

Witness Statement: at 0435, I stepped outside for cigarette looking up at the night sky. an orange light caught my eye as it appeared above and to my right. It was traveling at high speed from the SW and was quickly joined by second. The first object decelerated to allow the 2nd catch-up. They appeared to revolve around one another then sped off in a NE direction.

"The Sayago Case" became a classic of the 1980s. Given its spectacular characteristics, it took up considerable space in the national media while a group of young researchers from the now vanished SIOVNI group commenced field research and followed up on the protagonist to the amazing story.

On September 22, 1982 - two and a half years later - the witness died as a result of a kidney disease, which according to doctors, was "congenital in nature" due to his family background. But it should be noted that up until the day on which his life-changing experience occurred, Sayago ran between 5 and 15 kilometers a day as part of the regular training for one of his passions: race-walking, sponsoring several competitions.

The event occurred on the rainy evening of April 22, 1980 when Fermin Sayago drove his 1960 model Impala along Santiago Marzo Avenue to the east of the city and in a south-to-north direction. The time was 19:15. The experiencer said that "something dark and oval shaped fell over me from above" at the time he was about to cross the train tracks. He defined the object's size as comparable to "a 3 x 3 room". Sayago explained that "my car's engine died and I instinctively covered my face against the steering wheel, thinking the object was going to crash against me."Nothing of the sort occurred. The out-of-control vehicle stopped against the opposite curb and Fermin Sayago got out of the car, thinking about nothing else but starting the engine again. "I do remember that the headlights were on," he stressed. This allowed him to deduce that the car's electric system hadn't been affected. Sayago popped the hood and took a look at the engine, trying to ascertain the reason for the problem.
