Mysterious figure 'spotted'

A mysterious figure resembling a human being was sighted on the Doha Corniche's parking lot, according to a report published in a local Arabic daily.
The report is based on the statement of an Arab expatriate lady who said she had seen the strange figure near the Oryx statue while walking in the area.
Quoting the woman, the daily said she took a picture of it in spite of being terribly frightened.

The Plank Road Panther has become one world-travelin' cat. If he is indeed just one.

We've done several stories about this mysterious, zoo-sized, catlike animal, usually described as black or dark gray, that many people have seen in the area between Plato Center and Pingree Grove.

But the feline has changed habits. From last summer through January, it was seen only in the area between Plato and Pingree. Then suddenly, people in that area stopped seeing it. But people all over the far-northwest suburbs began seeing a similar cat. We have mentioned some of these incidents in The Courier-News before; others we haven't.

A Texas couple and their son were driving along Highway 285 heading home from Carlsbad Caverns when they noticed four lights about 50 feet off of the ground, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The object first appeared to be in a V-formation as it rose to about 1,000 feet.

As they watched, the object "flashed out" in front of them.

The following is the unedited case report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that many UFO cases can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Texas MUFON investigates and provides a follow-up report, I will update the story here.

A glowing object in the sky left Joan Morrison gasping in amazement as she looked out of her kitchen window.

The Inverness woman had visitors at Burnside Cottage on Tower Brae South last Friday when she went to make a cup of coffee and saw the UFO.

"I'm not a sci-fi buff or anything like that but I just couldn't believe what I was seeing," said Mrs Morrison, a 58 year-old widow.

"I suppose it can best be described as a big square thing with a yellow and orange glow. There was no sound so it definitely wasn't a plane or a helicopter.

England: UFO Spotted Over Salford Precinct

On Tuesday night a UFO was seen blazing over Salford Precinct at around 10pm. Eye witness, Rachel, has described it as "a bright orange light, like a fire ball moving at a steady space. It was really weird".

It wasn't the sun by any chance? There's been similar spottings in Irlam a few nights before and all over Geater Manchester recently. There was even an 'encounter' in Eccles last year.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My mom and brother had just pulled into the driveway outside my house and were hanging out in the car until about five minutes later, when they caught sight of an object with two pale yellow lights in the sky. It remained stationary for around thirty seconds after they spotted it, but then it slowly started moving southwest.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On Thursday 4/2009 while disposing the garbage, I thought of UFO as I walked out and when I looked up into the sky I saw a V shape object composed of many different lights in the inside of the shape moving very fast from east to west. I was so impressed of what I seen, that I was in denial for the first few seconds. Based on this, I called my neighbor that always wanted to encounter such a sighting to let him know what I saw. As I spoke to him on my phone, I looked up and spotted a single light traveling south to north at a fast rate of speed, but not like the V shape form earlier.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi there, My husband and I were just leaving a gathering and heading to our car. In the sky were three rather large, very bright lights all lined up in a row. There were two other gentlemen in the street that we did not know who were witnessing the same things. The lights just seemed to hover there for about 3 minutes before they moved into a triangle formation. One moved off and started to fade and the other two seemed to shoot off after it.

US: Man tells police he saw UFO at James Madison Park

Madison, Wisconsin - A 22-year-old downtown resident told Madison Police he spotted a mysterious unidentified flying object Thursday, April 16 at James Madison Park.

He said he was in James Madison Park, 314 E. Gorham St., at around 7 p.m., when he saw a strange object in the sky that alarmed him.

He described the object as similar to "the top of a big water tower," only wider and larger. The object flew about 1,000 feet above the tree line and appeared to land behind a grove of trees, he said.

A Strange noise is continuing to plague residents of a Mytholmroyd estate - and the cause is no clearer.

The Courier revealed earlier this month the misery of two women living on the Nest estate. They can hear a humming noise, which leaves them with headaches, insomnia and sickness.

Now other people say they can hear the hum. Liberal Democrat councillor Christine Bampton-Smith, who represents the Luddenden Foot ward, said she had been contacted by people from Oven-den, Pellon, King Cross and Todmorden.
