UK: UFO sighting in the skies above Burnham-On-Sea

A mystery UFO has been spotted in the skies over Burnham-On-Sea by a group of youngsters, who filmed it on a mobile phone. Jordan Gilroy and several friends watched the unidentified orange ball in the sky while they were outside Burnham Area Youth Centre on Saturday May 30th at 10.20pm.

Jordan told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was getting pretty dark and we noticed a strange orange blob in the sky. It got lower and brighter over time - it seemed like it was on fire. As it came into more focus, it was quite large in size and circular."

"It hovered over us, but made no noise or anything, so we ruled out it being any kind of aircraft. It hovered for a while, then drifted off until is was no longer in sight."

Strange circles have once again appeared in the frozen surface of Lake Baikal in Siberia, as spotted by astronauts aboard the International Space Station this April. News reports described the ice rings as a puzzling phenomenon.

But experts say they can explain the mystery, and it's not aliens - methane gas rising from the lake floor represents the likely culprit.

Methane emissions can create a rising mass of warm water that begins swirling in a circular pattern because of the Coriolis force, or the phenomenon caused by the Earth's rotation that also helps create cyclones.

Mysterious stones fall from sky

Dhenkanal, India: Mr Anil Hota of Ichchbatipur, under Baruna gram panchayat, in Kamakshanagar subdivision, was carrying a palm leaf sheet over his head, while moving around in the village today.

Scorching heat, is not the only reason for such protective measures adopted by Mr Anil and other villagers, as all of them resort to leaf sheets or umbrellas, at the dead of the night, these days too. Much to the disbelief of the outsiders, the villagers of Ichchbatipur claim that, for last few days they have been witnessing bizarre and mysterious incidents like dropping of stone pieces and splinters from above and other directions.

Hence, it was no surprise that at the Pandua outpost and Kamakshanagar police station police officers, were taken aback yesterday when the villagers came in large numbers and narrated the "disturbance" in the village, which is taking place from Saturday night, while requesting them to take "necessary action". The police, however, were helpless too and could do nothing except visiting the village and starting an inquiry.

Bright lights in the skies over Sussex have prompted a raft of reports of UFOs.

Dozens of people have seen the flaming orbs floating overhead in the past two weeks.

The strange sight has led to numerous calls to the police and to The Argus.

But the spotters are clearly divided into two camps.

On one side are those who cannot explain what they saw and who believe the fiery phenomenon could be proof of alien life visiting our planet.

Carl Roberts was enjoying a pleasant evening with friends Thursday while fishing at Wilcox Dock. They had been casting their lines since 6 p.m. and had caught quite a few perch, but the fish unexpectedly stopped biting around 8 p.m.

The wind was calm, the sun was still shining above the western horizon, and Lake Champlain was as tranquil as could be.

Rapid Movement

But then, a movement out on the lake caught the angler's attention. Something in the water was moving rapidly from left to right about 100 yards beyond the dock.

"It had to be 50 feet long, from what I could see of the humps (rising above the lake surface)," Roberts said Friday morning as he recalled the unusual sighting, still energized with excitement from the experience.

Cyberspace has been buzzing with stories of mysterious sightings above the skies of Suffolk as the latest UFO mystery hots up. One person from Ipswich reported seeing a silent "orange fireball", while another claimed to have spotted bright lights randomly switching on and off as they travelled over Bury St Edmunds.

A flurry of reports have been posted on The Evening Star website after a former soldier said he saw 100 glowing orbs less than two miles above his house near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire last month.

Responding the serviceman's experience, poster Martin Laurance said he saw something similar.

A batch of raw footage from decades-old NASA missions shows zipping lights and strange objects in the sky. This footage, recently posted on YouTube, is renewing UFO conspiracy theories that the government is hiding knowledge about its interactions with intelligent life. Here, two astronauts talk about NASA's supposed coverup and what these clips really show.

The scenario goes like this: Its 1996; you're an astronaut and you're looking at a UFO. This is quite possibly the biggest, most game-changing scientific discovery in the history of mankind. And here you are, gliding through space in low Earth orbit, watching this alien craft dance around your video camera's viewfinder. You are not alone - there are other astronauts onboard the space shuttle, and mission control is watching the live feed from Houston. Yet not a single raised voice or mention of ETs or UFOs can be heard on the audio of this recording. Apparently, it's just another routine brush with extraterrestrial life, and another day in the life of a massive, decades-long, multiagency coverup.

This is the claim behind the recent posting of a batch of NASA-related clips on YouTube, presented as evidence that extraterrestrials are among us. The footage covers a number of missions, and a range of mysterious objects - in a clip featured on the science fiction blog io9, a bizarre object rotates within the frame, seeming to morph from one shape to another as the cameraman casually tracks it. If that weren't mysterious enough, at one point, a light drifts by. The post's headline poses the question: "Will the US Government Finally Admit There Are Aliens?"

Comment: We are not at all surprised to see Popular Mechanics - avid supporters and defenders of the 911 official story - in a new propaganda promoting scheme, this time on UFOs, especially given the current wave of sightings from around the world. The words 'Nous ne sommes pas seuls' or 'We are not alone' will be somberly pronounced this week by a senior Government official of the nation that brought the world 'Liberté, égalité, fraternité'. France is set to concede that it is aware of an alien presence on earth by no later than Friday.

Paris has chosen to follow the lead of maverick UFO nation Brazil and resist US pressure to continue delaying disclosure until America feels it is ready for the event.

UFO nearly collides with commuter jet in Texas

Federal and local authorities are investigating what a witness said looked like a missile that hurtled across the sky above Chambers and Liberty County and barely missed hitting a commuter airliner in flight Friday.

That witness was the pilot of the airliner and his co-pilot saw the object as well, according to Liberty County Sheriff Department's Chief Deputy Ken DeFoor.
