Lawyer COLLAPSES during Covid Emergency Act Inquiry in Canada

Screenshot mid-fall: Gabriel Poliquin's condition is unclear
Proceedings were paused at the public inquiry looking into the federal government's use of the Emergencies Act on Wednesday afternoon after a medical incident.

A lawyer representing the Public Order Emergency Commission collapsed while he was questioning Ontario's deputy solicitor general, the second witness of the day.

Emergency responders were called to the Library and Archives Canada building in downtown Ottawa and proceedings were stopped. lawyers and spectators were cleared from the hearing room.

Comment: Considering Poliquin's job, we can reasonably assume that he would've received an experimental Covid injection in order to continue working under Canada's tyrannical lockdown policies, whether or not his collapse is related remains to be seen: 5th doctor to 'die suddenly' this summer in Canada, one 27 year old collapsed during triathlon

Major crypto hub issues bankruptcy warning

FTX crypto
FTX is facing a liquidity shortfall of up to $8 billion, according to Bloomberg
The chief executive of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, has told investors that without a cash injection the company would need to file for bankruptcy, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing sources.

According to a person with direct knowledge of the matter, Bankman-Fried informed investors during a conference call on Wednesday that his crypto exchange faced a shortfall of up to $8 billion and needed $4 billion to remain solvent. The unnamed source explained that FTX is attempting to raise rescue financing in the form of debt or equity, or a combination of the two.

"I f***ed up," Bankman-Fried reportedly said, adding he would be "incredibly, unbelievably grateful" if investors could help. The call occurred before crypto exchange Binance abandoned its plans to acquire FTX.

Comment: Whilst money can and has been made in crypto, as the above story reveals, even as a short term investment it can be extremely risky and, overall, it seems to be a bridge to nowhere that will likely devour otherwise potentially useful resources. It's telling that the multipolar world in particular, but even compromised and controlled Western banking institutions, have been focusing on tangible and traditional assets, such as gold and fuel:

MSNBC guest makes vulgar prediction about Republican lawmaker

Republican Representative Lauren Boebert might resort to selling racy images of herself online, if she loses the congressional race against Adam Frisch, an MSNBC guest has said.

The crude joke came from Democratic Party strategist Kurt Bardella, a former adviser for the Lincoln Project, during a post-midterm election appearance on Joy Reid's 'The ReidOut' show on Wednesday.

Reid asked about Boebert's possible election loss, specifically "what job would she have" after Congress, considering that her gun-themed restaurant in Rifle, Colorado closed earlier this year.

"I guess it might be a gain for OnlyFans," Bardella responded, prompting a laugh from Reid. The other guest, former Senator Claire McCaskill, was apparently shocked by the remark.

Comment: What a classy group.

COVID dictators plead for amnesty- Dr. Mercola's response

pandemic amnesty
As the COVID lies are now being exposed at exponential speed, some of those proven wrong are getting nervous — so nervous, in fact, they're now pleading to just let bygones be bygones.

The Atlantic 1 has come under fire for suggesting that all the terrible pandemic-era decisions over lockdowns, school closures, masking and punishing an entire class of people who questioned the efficacy and wisdom of taking a rushed, experimental vaccine — for a virus with a 99% survival rate in most — should all be water under the bridge.

Brown University economist Emily Oster writes in The Atlantic, 2 "We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID." Brendon Marotta in his Substack Hegemon Media 3 recounts:

Comment: Well said, Dr. Mercola!

A slap in the Pface: Pfizer chief boasts to investors that Covid will continue to be a 'multi-billion dollar franchise for many years to come' — as firm prepares to stick 10,000% markup on its vaccine

pfizer infographic
Pfizer is charging $130 for its COVID-19 vaccine - a 10,000% mark-up from the estimated $1.18 it costs them to develop a single dose of the vaccine. The firm was charging the US government around $20 per shot but rose prices in an effort to make up for poor demand for the jabs. It is forecasted to rake in over $100billion in revenue this year, and brought in $81.2billion last year. These figures well clear the $40billion per year it was earning the years prior. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla has earned $50million in compensation over the past two years, while BioNTech found Dr Ugar Sahin is now a billionaire.
Pfizer's chief financial officer has described the Covid pandemic as a 'multi-billion dollar franchise' — and expects profit to continue.

David Denton told investors in an earnings call last week his company's vaccine and antiviral would still be 'relevant for many years to come'.

The CFO said he expects the Covid virus to be 'somewhat like a flu... but more deadly' — meaning therapeutics will still have a massive role in controlling the virus.

Transgender charity Mermaids seeks to strip gay rights group of status

Members of 'Mermaids' have taken legal action against the LGB Alliance, accusing it of transphobia.

The transgender youth charity 'Mermaids' has asked a UK tribunal to take away the charitable status of the LGB Alliance (LGBA) group, which promotes gay rights, insisting the organization is "merely a front for transphobia" and political campaigning for preventing changes to gender identification laws, The Telegraph reported on Tuesday.

The charity, which has already previously found itself in hot water for publicly rejecting the idea that people can change their gender, has in turn accused Mermaids of being "profoundly homophobic," noting that the LGBA is the only organization in the UK that focuses exclusively on the rights of lesbian, gay and bisexual people.

Comment: Even if the LGB Alliance's only reason for being is to counter pro-trans propaganda outfits like Mermaids, they're doing a great charitable service.

Florida midterms were a Covid referendum: All the major issues were downstream effects of the pandemic response

desantis smiles
© GettyFlorida Governor Ron DeSantis won his re-election campaign comfortably.
To paraphrase a famous Sun headline, it was Covid Wot Won It for the Republicans in at least one of last night's midterm races, even if the widely predicted "red wave" turned out to be more of a dribble. It's true, in the strict sense, that the immediate focus of voters featured concerns about the rising cost of living, spiralling crime (especially in many blue cities), immigration, and abortion. But all of this must be seen in the context of a pandemic response that ultimately created the conditions for these issues to take root and spread.

The lockdowns precipitated huge economic dislocations, notably supply-chain gaps that in turn created significant inflationary pressures. The stimulus package succeeded beyond policymakers' wildest dreams, but those same policymakers, from Biden to the Democratic-controlled Congress downward, ignored the changing economic context as the country came out of the pandemic. Instead, the White House and Fed fueled inflation further by spending nearly $5 trillion in Covid relief.

It's therefore easy to see why Joe Biden focused on the supposed threat to democracy posed by 'MAGA' Republicans rather than inflation during campaigning. That charge might have had more force had Democrats not engaged in a cynical game of intervening in Republican primaries, using party funds to promote some of those same far-Right candidates in GOP primaries.

Adidas' profits plunge from Russia and Ye exit

The sportswear giant slashed its annual outlook for the fourth time since the beginning of the year.

German sportswear giant Adidas saw its net profit nearly halve in the third quarter of 2022 after leaving the Russian market and canceling a partnership with Kanye West.

The company's net profit tumbled to €‎352 million ($353 million), down from €‎984 million ($986 million) in the same period of last year.

Comment: Adidas has historically always altered their sales models based on what they perceive to be popular sentiment, and has repeatedly paid the price for it. Some lessons are hard, apparently.

The censoring of science

medieval art burning at stake
A defrocked philosopher and bon viveur, Giordano Bruno committed a heinous crime: his philosophy did not agree with the official science embodied by the Catholic Church. Bruno thought the Earth rotated around other planets and the Universe was infinite: real heresy. After eight years of detention, unlike Galileo, he refused to recant and was burned at the stake in AD 1600.

Bruno's end was extreme. Although it would not happen nowadays, the persecution principle is alive and kicking. It has been energised but also brought to the surface by the Covid pandemic.

A recent publication on censorship and suppression and its tactics and countertactics drew our attention. The study was based on interviews with established scientists "who were censored for their heterodox views on COVID-19".

Comment: It can be quite shocking when one realizes that the truth is often wildly unpopular and that there are dark forces that will employ every dirty trick in the book to maintain narrative control. True scientists need to drop the naiveté and recognize that they are actually on the front lines in a war for truth, and act accordingly. We're all counting on them.

The deputy head of Russia's Kherson Region, Kirill Stremousov, has been killed in a car accident, the top local official Vladimir Saldo confirmed on Wednesday. The region's health minister, Vadim Ilmiev, told the media that Stremousov had been involved in a traffic incident on a road connecting Kherson to the town of Armyansk in northern Crimea.

Stremousov often spoke on behalf of the regional administration, particularly when it came to the situation in the city of Kherson. He gave regular updates on social media and regularly talked to journalists about the region's affairs. Just this morning, the late official revealed the latest information about the battlefield situation, reporting that Ukrainian attempts to advance in a town some 50km to the north from Kherson had been thwarted by Russian troops.
