The Taliban hanged a dead body from a crane in the main square of Herat city in western

Afghanistan, a witness said on Saturday, in a gruesome display that signalled a return to some of the group's methods of the past.

Wazir Ahmad Seddiqi, who runs a pharmacy on the side of the square, said that four bodies were brought to the square and three bodies were moved to other squares in the city to be displayed.

Seddiqi said the Taliban announced in the square that the four were caught taking part in a kidnapping and were killed by police.

Two non-governmental organizations (NGOs) said they had brought a legal case before the Paris administrative court to order French customs to disclose records over war equipments exports, especially to Saudia Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Amnesty International France and the European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) said in a statement that they filed the case after French customs declined to disclose documentation over the potential sale of weapons in connection with the Yemen conflict.

The two NGOs raised concerns that French weapons should be used in the conflict.

Comment: The UK is also complicit in the war on Yemen, which the UN dubbed the world's worst humanitarian crisis:

Parents of murdered boy tell court they have been 'completely broken' by son's death.

Two 14-year-old boys have been sentenced to 13 years and 12 years respectively in a young offenders institution for the murder of a 13-year-old autistic boy.

Olly Stephens was "ambushed" in Emmer Green, Reading, on the afternoon of 3 January this year after he had apparently sought to defend another boy who was being humiliated in a social media group chat.

The boy was lured to a field in the area by a girl he knew before he was knifed to death by the two teenagers who were lying in wait.

LA port backup grows to record 62 ships as supply chain crunch worsens

California's traffic jams are legendary, but this is one for the books.

A record 62 cargo ships are waiting to dock at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, and are stuck floating off the coast amid a serious supply chain crunch that could mean fewer toys under the Christmas tree this year.

The problem reflects a combination of growing cargo volumes, a labor shortage and COVID-related safety measures that slow the handling of each ship. About one-third of all imports into the U.S. pass through the ports each year.

Comment: It seems there are a number of cracks in the foundation beginning to show in supply chains around the world. Whether it's by design or just the opening signs of a failing system remains to be seen.

Imprisoned hacktivist Martin Gottesfeld says the federal prison authorities have cut off his phone access, shortly after he gave an interview to RT and told his wife about a unit manager who was allegedly sexually abusing inmates.

Gottesfeld is serving a 10-year sentence for a "cyberattack" on Boston Children's Hospital in 2014 - which he says he did to help end the "torture" of teenage girl Justina Pelletier, who was being administered the wrong treatment while her parents lost custody of their daughter to the state for trying to protest against it.

Gottesfeld, who was later arrested by the FBI and went through several prisons, is currently locked up at the communications management unit (CMU) of the federal penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana, which he dubbed "Little Guantanamo."

Chris Cuomo accused of sexually harassing ex-boss Shelley Ross at 2005 party

A former ABC executive producer has accused Chris Cuomo of sexually harassing her at a 2005 work party after he grabbed her butt in front of her husband and co-workers — and he later called it a "hearty greeting."

Shelley Ross, a veteran TV journalist, detailed the June 2005 incident at an Upper West Side bar in a New York Times op-ed Friday.

She said Cuomo sent an email in the aftermath telling her he was "ashamed" — but quickly tried to show his actions were different from an actor accused of doing the same to a stranger on the street.

Comment: It seems like big egos and the perception of invulnerability run in the family.

Facebook has revealed how it suppresses news it doesn't like and decides what's true and what isn't. It's chillingly Orwellian

facebook

Facebook has finally detailed its procedures for weeding out 'disinformation' on its site. The process shows exactly why the dystopian attitudes of this monstrous business must be stood up to.

The idea of Facebook censoring news and using algorithms to keep people away from certain news sources has long been known. There's been a lot of talk about initiatives to cut down on 'fake news' and misinformation, but never a confirmation from the company itself on exactly how it was doing this. Now Facebook has revealed its content distribution guidelines, and they are as Orwellian as you would expect.

According to a report by the Daily Wire, the methods used are ones that are very open to exposure from astroturfers, and have a vulnerability in the sense that what is defined as misinformation can simply be anything that isn't coming from a politically leftist point of view. The language used in terms like "fostering a safe community" and "incentivizing creators to invest in high quality and accurate content" doesn't really have any clear definitions. Who is it that defines what is safe? Who is it that defines what is accurate?

Now I do believe that absolute truth does exist, but anytime a story is reported on or opined on there can be some dispute over the facts, let alone the conclusions to be drawn from them. Normally speaking, this is where the audience has the opportunity to discern what is and what is not, and make up their own minds.

Dutch protesters march through The Hague against 'corona pass', 40% of businesses say they will refuse to enforce it

Hague
© Koen van Weel/EPAThe protesters marched through The Hague’s city centre.
Protesters gathered to march against the introduction of a "corona pass" in the Netherlands on Saturday as proof of Covid-19 vaccination became compulsory to get into bars, restaurants, theatres and other venues.

Hours after the requirement to show the pass or a recent negative coronavirus test took effect, the government of caretaker prime minister Mark Rutte sacked a cabinet minister who had publicly questioned the measure.

Rutte's office said deputy economic affairs minister Mona Keijzer had been dismissed because her comments went against cabinet policy on an issue "of such importance and weight".

Comment: Or because 'the science' the government is pushing is so demonstrably false that any dissent must immediately be stamped out. This kind of behaviour is typical in pathocracies throughout history.

Comment: Meanwhile in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, the coronavirus is being recognized for what it is, a mild virus that is endemic, and all lockdown restrictions are being dropped.

Austria denies social benefits to unemployed who refuse job mandating Covid vaccine

Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen
Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen
Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen, who was inaugurated as the Federal President of the Republic of Austria on January 26, 2017, has taken another undemocratic, authoritarian position that anyone unemployed because of the state's lockdowns who refuses the vaccine will lose ALL benefits. This is absolute tyranny and a disgrace to any country that pretends to be free. It has been reported:

"Unusual measure: Austria's Minister of Labor Martin Kocher (ÖVP) has decided to block unemployment benefits for job seekers if they do not apply for a reasonable position because a vaccination is required there or simply not accepting an offered position."

Something is seriously wrong. The vaccination was supposed to protect you, but now the unvaccinated threaten the vaccinated. Does that then prove that the vaccinations do not work? If the death rate is less than 1%, then why are governments forcing such vaccines?

Comment: Whilst the future is indeed bleak, one will fare much better for seeing reality as it is and finding the wiggle room in which to navigate the encroaching dystopia. Perhaps our saving grace is that history is replete with examples showing that once the situation really does become too much to bear, nature tends to intervene; there are already signs that some kind of feedback loop between societal chaos and extreme and unusual phenomena on the planet is strengthening: And check out SOTT radio's:
