Mayo Clinic doctors confirm trans swimmer Lia Thomas DOES have an unfair advantage even after taking testosterone suppressants

Doctors have confirmed that trans swimmer Lia Thomas does have an unfair advantage over the biological women she swims against even after taking testosterone suppressants.

In an interview with The New York Times on Monday, a Mayo Clinic doctor and an international physiologist who consults on the sports both confirmed Thomas's advantage is inescapable.

'There are social aspects to sport, but physiology and biology underpin it. Testosterone is the 800-pound gorilla,' Michael J. Joyner, the Mayo Clinic doctor, said.

Portland homeless village will close after operator says conditions are too dangerous

portland homeless encampment
A Portland area homeless village is permanently closing in June, and the non-profit operating the site blamed the decision on "daily and nightly gunfire and gun activity."

News of the homeless village's closure in the Old Town neighborhood of the city, located at the intersection of Northwest Broadway and Glisan Street, comes a month after a group of workers at the non-profit All Good Northwest which operates the site, sent a letter to the director of the nonprofit, Andy Goebel and other directors, announcing their intent to form a union.

However, a labor organizer told the Willamette Week that he doesn't believe the union organizing caused the village closure, rather, labor unrest and the closure were a response to dangerous conditions at the village itself.

I've Figured Out the Whole Covid Vaccine Scam- Here It Is. Read it and Weep.

Covid-19 Vaccine
We are in the middle of the biggest scam and "get-rich-quick" Ponzi scheme in world history. Some might call it mass murder on a grand scale. Open your eyes- see the remarkable number of famous actors, politicians and athletes who are dropping dead, or suffering heart attacks, strokes, blood clots, as well as dramatic increases in cancer. Is it coincidence?

In only the past week we saw famous acting icon Ray Liotta die at age 67...famous rocker Andy "Fletch" Fletcher of the band "Depeche Mode" die at age 60, and Alan White the drummer for the rock band "Yes" die at age 72. Famous Americans are dropping like flies. Is it all coincidence? Is it all about "old age." Or is something terrible happening that needs to be investigated? Why are so many famous people dying?

Could it be because lots of average people are dying too? Life insurance executives are reporting non-Covid deaths are up a staggering 40% across the USA- the largest increase ever seen. Ask any funeral home director- business is booming like never before.

Something is very very wrong. Yet no one is reporting it. No one is investigating. We're not even allowed to ask questions for fear of being slandered, ostracized, or banned from social media.

This scam I'm talking about is not Covid-19. Covid is real- it's a flu pandemic. This isn't the first flu pandemic. It won't be the last. As a matter of fact, many Americans are sick again with Covid.

Overwhelmed hospitals? UK's NHS lost 25,000 beds over 10 years, experts sound alarm over harm to patients & staff

Uk hospital NHS
© Peter Byrne/PAAndrew GregoryThe Royal College of Emergency Medicine says at least 13,000 more hospital beds are urgently needed.
The NHS has lost almost 25,000 beds across the UK in the last decade, according to a damning report that says the fall has led to a sharp rise in waiting times for A&E, ambulances and operations.

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine said the huge loss of beds since 2010-11 was causing "real patient harm" and a "serious patient safety crisis". At least 13,000 more beds are urgently needed, it added, in order to tackle "unsafe" bed occupancy levels and "grim" waiting times for emergency care and handover delays outside hospitals.

Comment: The UK establishment used the financial crash of 2007 as their excuse to slash public spending, which began in earnest around 2010.

Patients are increasingly "distressed" by long waiting times, the college said, as are NHS staff who face mounting levels of burnout, exhaustion and moral injury.

Comment: Taking into account that the nearly two-year long lockdown restrictions removed nearly a third of beds, it becomes fairly clear why hospitals were overwhelmed, and also why mortality increased due to the lack of primary and A&E care, in addition to the preventable deaths due to cancelled appointments.

UK gov't warns 6 million homes could face winter power cuts & rationing due to energy shortages

electricity
Six million homes could see their electricity rationed
Under plans drawn up by ministers, electricity could have to be rationed for up to six million homes at the start of next year, mostly at peaks in the morning and evening.

Ministers have been warned of potential power cuts to as many as six million households this winter, according to reports.

Government modelling of a "reasonable" worst-case scenario predicts major gas shortages in winter if Russia cuts off more supplies to the EU, The Times says.

Comment: Russia cut off those countries that refused to pay their bills; they were however prepared to pay to send weapons to the neo-Nazi military in Ukraine.

UK's 'junk food' ad ban: The future of state-corporate cooperation

Junk Food
© Off-Guardian
There's currently an interesting example of the interplay of state and corporate power going on in the UK.

It doesn't seem like important news alongside Ukraine and Monkeypox and school shootings, but for a while now the UK government has planned to implement new rules banning grocery stores from advertising multi-buy offers on foods they deem "unhealthy".

The UK government has a track record of brazenly controlling rules regarding food, including the recent "sugar levy", a tax added to the cost of every soft drink which contains more than 5g of sugar per 100ml.

These new regulations would make it illegal to offer "buy one get one free" or "3-for-2" offers on any food in listed as "high in fat, salt or sugar" (HFSS) according to the government's 2007 "nutritional profiling model". It also bans "unlimited refill" offers on soft drinks at restaurants and the advertising of junk food on the internet and before 9pm on television.

The "consultation" on this goes back to at least 2019, and the ban was set to be in place by October of this year.

Now, my objection to this is fairly simple: It's nobody's business what a private citizen decides to buy, or how much they eat of what. The idea that the state could - or should - dictate what food people can eat "for the greater good" is an incredibly slippery slope.

Is a lot of processed junk food basically poison?

Yes.

Do the oligarchs and bureaucrats therefore have the right to try and stop people from eating it?

Absolutely not.

They promote all these policies as being in the public interest, but they're not. In fact, they are often directly harming the public both physically and financially.

Take the "Sugar Tax" I mentioned above. While allegedly "forcing" soft drinks manufacturers to reformulate in the name of "tackling childhood obesity", what it actually did was mandate companies to either increase their prices or replace sugar with cheaper (and more toxic) artificial sweeteners such as aspartame.

Essentially, you're now paying more for the same product, and maybe getting a nice cancer-inducing boost of chemical sweeteners in the bargain.

'Inflation timebomb': 500,000 UK small businesses 'at risk of going bust within weeks'

Rising costs have created a "ticking timebomb" for UK small business owners, the chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has warned, with almost half a million firms at risk of going bust within weeks without a fresh wave of government support.

While the FSB chairman, Martin McTague, applauded the chancellor Rishi Sunak's latest support for consumers through the £15bn cost of living package announced last week, he said some of those recipients could lose their jobs unless the government rolled out targeted measures for their employers.

"We don't have any problem with the way the chancellor dealt with consumer needs," McTague told BBC Radio 4's Today programme. "But there is still a massive problem with small businesses. They are facing something like twice the rate of inflation for their production prices, and it's a ticking timebomb. They have got literally weeks left before they run out of cash and that will mean hundreds of thousands of businesses, and lots of people losing their jobs."

Rep. Issa: Outraged by reports Hunter Biden used burner phones

Issa
© APRepublican congressman Darrell Issa
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., on Sunday was outraged Hunter Biden reportedly bought and used burner phone apps from 2014-2018.

In an interview on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures, Issa condemned the purchase that would've allowed the ability to generate new phone numbers capable of making calls and texting that could then be tossed away.
"You do not need these kind of virtual phone numbers unless you intend to buy drugs or do something clandestine and make the line go away. It is very clear he wanted to do that. He wanted to have multiple numbers so that someone would think they were talking to someone or texting with something on a number and he could make it go away which he obviously did."
Issa also vowed that when the GOP becomes the majority in the House, as Republicans are predicting, there will be stricter oversight of the Department of Justice.

The war on police meets the Uvalde shooting

Police person

Since the Obama administration, and with the rise of anti-police district attorneys in several of our major cities, law enforcement has been placed on the defensive by civil authorities, liberal politicians, and the media. "Defund the police" movements have urged cities and towns to abolish or greatly reduce police forces. Liberal district attorneys have publicly announced that they will not prosecute offenders who resist the police. Each time a police officer uses deadly force, he is second-guessed, third-guessed, and all too often presumed guilty of using excessive force. This phenomenon has been meticulously documented by the Manhattan Institute's Heather Mac Donald in several articles and in her book The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe.

Mac Donald detailed what she called a "multipronged attack on law enforcement" and a "crusade against law enforcement" since at least 2014, led by organized groups, and supported by liberal politicians at the local, state, and federal level, that promote the idea that "police officers are the greatest threat facing" young minority males. In response to this anti-police rhetoric and activity, she writes, "the police began to disengage from proactive policing."

Comment: Impeded police response is the next step in programming the public to rise up and demand country-wide gun confiscation.
