Jeffrey Epstein's brother says the pedophile financier was murdered and demands an investigation into his death after coroner ruled it a suicide

Jeffrey Epstein's brother is insisting that the pedophile financier was murdered and is demanding an investigation into his death after a coroner ruled he died by suicide in jail while awaiting child trafficking charges.

Mark Epstein says he does not believe his brother committed suicide in his Metropolitan Correctional Center jail cell on August 10, citing how three bones in his neck were broken in an unusual fashion.

'I believe my brother was murdered. I want to know what kind of investigation they did. I have no indication that there was one,' Mark Epstein said to The Sun.

'They said the cause of death was pending. Just five days later they said it was suicide,' he added.

At least six children were killed in shootings across the country over the holiday weekend, sparking calls from officials to end the gun violence plaguing their communities.

The children, ages 6 to 14, were all shot and killed while doing everyday things -- riding in mom's car, walking in a mall, and playing in a yard with their cousins.

In Atlanta, eight-year-old Secoriea Turner, was sitting in a car with her mother and another adult when gunshots rang out Saturday night on University Ave SW near I-75/85 Saturday night.

As the driver tried to pull into a parking lot on Pryor Road, near where Rayshard Brooks died at the hands of police, someone opened fire on the vehicle, police said.

Someone had placed illegal barricades in the area, according to police.

Comment: The US is quite literally exploding with violent crime in numbers it hasn't seen in years - and that one may rightfully attribute, at least in part, to the hysteria induced by the useless, criminal and torturous lockdowns - as well as the tacit authoritarian "permission" granted to the dregs of society to riot with impunity. Of course these factors don't account for all the deaths we're seeing, but we'd be mistaken to think they didn't have a big part to play either.

To drive home just how superficial and empty recent protests in America are and how little besides further division and destruction will become of them - take the fate of two fictional characters recently put in the spotlight by baying activists - PepsiCo's "Aunt Jemima" breakfast food brand and Mars Incorporated's "Uncle Ben's" rice products.

Both came into the crosshairs of "woke" America. Both fictional characters will now no longer be used.

It might appear like a huge victory for "woke" America.

CNN in their article, "The Aunt Jemima brand, acknowledging its racist past, will be retired," would claim:
Quaker Oats is retiring the more than 130-year-old Aunt Jemima brand and logo, acknowledging its origins are based on a racial stereotype.

"As we work to make progress toward racial equality through several initiatives, we also must take a hard look at our portfolio of brands and ensure they reflect our values and meet our consumers' expectations," the Pepsi-owned company said in a statement provided to CNN Business.

A tiger has mauled a zoo keeper to death in front of shocked visitors.

Keepers rushed to the 55-year-old woman's aid at the Zurich Zoo after people watched in horror as the tiger attacked her inside the big cat enclosure.

They managed to lure the Siberian tiger, named Irina, away from the female keeper but it was too late to save her, and she died from her injuries.

'Sadly all the help came too late. The woman died at the scene,' Zurich police spokeswoman Judith Hoedl said.

Hoedl said an investigation has been launched into why the keeper was in the enclosure at the same time as the tiger.

A bus driver in France was declared brain dead Monday after being attacked by several people he reportedly refused to let on board because they had no tickets and were not wearing face masks as required.

A police source in Bayonne, near the ritzy Atlantic resort of Biarritz in southwestern France, said five people were now in custody over the incident on Sunday evening.

The source said the driver, in his fifties, tried to prevent a man, who was not wearing a face mask, from boarding the bus with his dog.

Russian biathlete Olga Zaitseva and two other athletes have filed a defamation lawsuit against Grigory Rodchenkov - a disgraced doctor-turned key witness in the Russian doping scandal - saying he made up the whole story.


Comment: It's incredibly likely that Rodchenkov made up the whole story at the behest of Western intelligence agencies, of which he was acquainted: Russian Skiing Federation chief: Rodchenkov was recruited by foreign special services in Canada


Zaitseva, a two-times Olympic champion, has been stripped of her Sochi 2014 Olympic silver and banned for life along with more than 40 Russian athletes after Rodchenkov named her among those involved in the alleged Russian "state-sponsored" doping program.

Now, the woman seeks to appeal this decision in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, together with two other biathletes from the Rodchenkov list - Yana Romanova and Olga Vilukhina. The three also filed a $30-million lawsuit in New York against the former Moscow laboratory director, accusing him of outright slandering them for some personal goals.

Zaitseva says it was one man's lie that ruined her reputation and career - and she has evidence to prove her innocence. Rodchenkov's portrayal of events was a "made up story" from the very start, at least when it comes to her case, the biathlete told German weekly Der Spiegel.

Delays to cancer diagnosis and treatment due to coronavirus could cause thousands of excess deaths in the UK within a year, research suggests.

Scientists suggest there could be at least 7,000 additional deaths - but in a worst case scenario that number could be as high as 35,000.

There are concerns routine screenings, urgent referrals and treatments have been delayed or cancelled.

NHS England said it was working hard to restore services.

Scientists examined data from eight hospital trusts and shared their findings exclusively with BBC Panorama.

A container ship caught fire on Monday in the southern Iranian port city of Bushehr, official media reported, citing the head of the protection department of the Bushehr Ports and Maritime Organisation.

According to the IRNA news agency, the fire occurred in Ameri Port in Tangestan County and firefighters are currently trying to extinguish the blaze both from the sea and the land.

There is a threat of the fire spreading to other vessels.

​The investigation into the incident will be launched after the fire is taken under control, the news agency said.

Sir Keir Starmer has pledged to take unconscious bias training after critics claimed he devalued the Black Lives Matter protests by calling them a "moment".

The Labour leader was challenged by Sharon, a black party member who called into a radio show to accuse him of "unconscious dismissive language and attitudes" that "feed into structural racism and unchallenged pervading elements of society".

Last week, Sir Keir had described calls from some activists to defund the police as "nonsense" and added: "The Black Lives Matter movement, or moment if you like, internationally is about reflecting something completely different."

Sir Keir, a former director of public prosecutions, explained later he meant to say the rallies were "a defining moment and turning point".
