Warning Signs? NJ Politician, 3 others Charged with voter fraud in Mail-In Election

Michael Jackson, Councilman-elect Alex Mendez
The New Jersey Attorney General's office announced voter fraud charges Wednesday against four individuals, including a city councilman and an elected city councilman, according to a press release.

Paterson City Councilman Michael Jackson, Councilman-elect Alex Mendez, and two other men are alleged to have exploited the mail-in voting process in the May 12th Special election in Paterson, New Jersey.

The investigation was opened when U.S. Postal Inspection Service found hundreds of mail-in ballots stuffed in a single mailbox in Paterson and a number of additional ballots in a mailbox in Haledon.

"Today's charges send a clear message: if you try to tamper with an election in New Jersey, we will find you and we will hold you accountable," said Attorney General Grewal. "We will not allow a small number of criminals to undermine the public's confidence in our democratic process."

NYT fails again with tweet on Serbia-Kosovo meeting falsely says it was Serb leader who was indicted for war crimes

A Balkans meeting planned in Washington was canceled after Hashim Thaci of Kosovo was indicted with war crimes. But somebody at the New York Times apparently thought the Serb must be the default villain in every story.

"The White House had planned to host the presidents of Serbia and Kosovo on Saturday. Then Kosovo's leader was charged with war crimes," starts the Gray Lady's story on the failed summit.

But when it was shared on NYT Twitter account, the premise mysteriously morphed, stating that it was the Serbian leader who had been indicted. Subsequent tweets described the accused party accurately, while the erroneous one, which some readers found amusing, was deleted.

Facebook content moderator: 'If someone is wearing a MAGA hat, I am going to delete them for terrorism'

Project Veritas today released one of the most damning undercover investigation reports — this time insiders used hidden cameras to document rampant censorship occurring at social media giant: Facebook.

Recordings captured Facebook content moderators bragging about deleting posts and comments supporting President Donald Trump and conservative causes.

"Zach McElroy's story raises serious doubts about the Capitol Hill testimony of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who gave lawmakers the impression that his company only takes content that could cause harm, such as relating to terrorism or hate speech, but never for politics," said James O'Keefe, Project Veritas' founding CEO.

Comment: Facebook and other social media platforms have made their left-wing bias so clear it's amazing that removing their Section 230 protections is still only a conversation. UPDATE 25/06/2020: Project Veritas reports that Senior HR business partner Leslie Brown was terminated by Facebook apparently for comments aired in the latest expose:

'Occupy City Hall': Protesters demand $1B budget cut for NYPD

Protesters calling themselves "Occupy City Hall" have camped out in New York to call for a cut of at least $1 billion to the city's police department budget. The more than 100 protesters began camping out in front of New York City's City Hall beginning Tuesday night, and say they will stay there until their demand is met.

The cut would represent one-sixth of the New York Police Department's $6 billion budget.

The protesters say the money should be redistributed to "community reinvestment" like social services, housing, health care and education. The protests organized by VOCAL-NY come ahead of the city's June 30 deadline to finalize its budget, including for the police department. VOCAL-NY said in a release:
"Mayor [Bill] de Blasio has thus far rejected this demand, which is unconscionable. We have questions about City Council promises to support our demands, because we have not seen their plan outside of a vague press release. We view this lack of transparency and specific public commitments as a red flag."

Comment: Legit reforms? Vote pandering? Could be both, but in the current societal climate, many important decisions are the outcome of a rush to judgement. NYC thinks social applications replace the need for law enforcement. In a devolving milieu, can anyone trust the snap solutions of herd mentality?

Eco-hypocrite Bezos unveils massive virtue-signal for Seattle stadium's new neon name

Amazon boss and world's richest man Jeff Bezos has bought the naming rights to Seattle's KeyArena complex, and will rename it Climate Pledge Arena. Yet behind the gesture lurks a company accused of eco-hypocrisy.

Bezos announced the purchase in an Instagram post on Thursday, saying the name will serve "as a regular reminder of the urgent need for climate action." The e-commerce kingpin said that the National Hockey League (NHL) venue will "be the first net-zero-carbon-certified arena in the world," will generate no waste, and will use reclaimed rainwater in its ice system.

Comment: The name is a regular reminder of bad science sold to clueless people as: 'the green gospel'. That is not to say the plans for a facility that is self-contained and implemented with efficiencies is undesirable.

NYC's criminal justice system is 'imploding' as homicides hit 5-year high

New York City's homicide rate has hit a five-year high as the amount of people shot has jumped 42 percent compared to last year on the heels of an "implosion" of the city's judicial system, according to NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea.

A perfect storm of COVID-19 shutdowns within the judicial system (which have shunted indictments against the most dangerous illegal gun criminals), a breakdown in the city's social safety nets (which has prisoners being released from jail straight into homelessness), and bail reform laws and case deferments have all hindered the NYPD's efforts to staunch the bleeding, Shea believes.

"We cannot keep people safe without keeping bad, dangerous, people off the streets," Shea said. "You have a criminal justice system that's imploding. That's the kindest way to put it."

Comment: Criminality doesn't have 'a color'. Racial factors are one of many excuses to cover up a lack of responsibility - be it of the self or the community.

BBC's Israeli news is truly shameful propaganda

Protesters

In a genuinely outrageous piece of victim blaming, BBC News just blamed Palestinian intransigence - in refusing to accept Israeli annexation of the West Bank - for the deaths of Palestinian children caused by the Israeli blockade of medical supplies to Gaza.

This is a precise quote from the BBC TV News presenter headline at 10.30am:
"The lives of hundreds of sick Palestinian children are being put at risk because of the latest downturn in relations between their leaders and Israel last month. The Palestinian President said his government was giving up on past peace agreements because of Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank. That decision stopped co-operation on many security and civil matters including medical and travel permits."
There followed a heart rending piece by BBC Middle East correspondent Yolande Knell featuring Palestinian children in Gaza dying of varous medical conditions and their distraught mothers. The entire piece very plainly blamed Palestinian officials for the situation.

The BBC did not blame Israel for placing a blockade illegally preventing pharmaceuticals and medical supplies from entering Gaza - the basic reason the children cannot be treated at home.

The BBC did not blame Israel for blockading in, illegally, the civilian population of Gaza, so that these children cannot freely leave for treatment in Europe without Israeli clearance.

Dixie Chicks submit to social justice, drop 'Dixie' from their moniker

Pop-country superstars The Dixie Chicks are the latest entertainers to heed the calls of the social justice movement. Dropping the "Dixie" due to its links with the slave-owning south, the group now simply goes by "The Chicks."

The Texas trio changed their name on Thursday with little fanfare, placing a short message on their website reading "We want to meet this moment." Further cementing their progressive position, they released a new song and music video entitled "March March," which lists the names of dozens of black people killed by police in the U.S.

Mob unleashes brutal fireworks attack on man in Baltimore

© Twitter / @lporiginalg
Disturbing footage has captured a group assault on a man in Baltimore, with multiple attackers seen discharging a barrage of fireworks, some targeted at the victim's face from point-blank range.

In a series of videos recently shared to social media, about half a dozen assailants - including one who appears to be a child - are shown shooting fireworks into a parked car to lure out a man hiding inside it.

Comment: Of course news outlets cannot even mention the perpetrators are black and the victim is white, nor that this could be a result of violent racism from BLM divisive rhetoric because that would undermine the current trend of propping up 'white fragility' while glorifying fatherless, gangster culture in black urban society that feminism and liberal victimhood proponents have worked so hard to create.

YouTube star Jenna Marbles says she's quitting after fans claim past videos are racist

Jenna Marbles, a longtime YouTube star, has announced that she's leaving the social media platform.

The announcement came on Thursday in the form of an 11-minute video in which Marbles -- real name Mourey -- apologized for various videos that she'd made in the past.

"I've tried my best to grow up and to be a better person. And first and foremost, I want everyone to know that I've always been a two-way street, and that anytime that you criticize me and tell me that you would like me to do better or to do something differently, that I always try to do that. And I try to make fun content, inclusive content, things that don't offend people or upset people, and that's kind of where I am," said Mourey, 33.

The internet personality stressed that she's "literally not trying to put out negative things into the world."

Comment: It's clear to anyone who has watched more than a few short clips of Jenna Marbles that the purpose of her videos are lighthearted attempts to make people laugh. Cancel culture is everything that is wrong and backward in todays world. The evil they 'discover' is only in their own hearts.
