Dominion Voting Systems on Friday sued lawyer Sidney Powell, alleging she defamed the company.

Powell made a series of "wild accusations" that are "demonstrably false," Dominion said in its lawsuit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

That included claims that Dominion rigged the 2020 election and that the company bribed officials in Georgia for a contract concerning its election machines and software, according to the 124-page suit.

Lockdowns won't make any difference, no matter how harsh

lockdown uk
IVOR Cummins has a high place on the TCW 'Covid Sense' roll of honour.

He has released his latest forensic comparison of the international data on Covid-19 mortality - on the impact or otherwise of lockdown and mask-wearing as against other, more likely, causative factors.

His latest study of the international data, of the facts and of the science, continues to support his analysis that lockdowns don't work - at all.

He begins with his favourite country Sweden - favourite because as the only European country not to impose lockdown and masks, instead settling for just for one metre social distancing, it acts as a 'control' for the rest of the continent.

Taking a look back over the last ten decades, he shows that Sweden's Covid-19 outbreak is of a very similar order to many of the flu epidemics that the country has experienced, and is hundreds of times lower than the Spanish flu of 1918 which, unlike Covid, had a median mortality age possibly as low as 40 (certainly less than 60) and included many infants in its grim toll. Which is not the case with Covid, with an average mortality rate of over 80.

Amazon boots Parler off web hosting service

Amazon is booting social media platform Parler off its web hosting service Amazon Web Services (AWS), which will knock the platform offline on Sunday until it can find a new host.

Amazon says that content on the social media site violates its terms of service, adding that it does not believe Parler has a good strategy for cracking down on speech on its platform, according to an email obtained by BuzzFeed News.

"Recently, we've seen a steady increase in this violent content on your website, all of which violates our terms," said Amazon in its email to Parler. "It's clear that Parler does not have an effective process to comply with the AWS terms of service."

"It also seems that Parler is still trying to determine its position on content moderation," the email added. "You remove some violent content when contacted by us or others, but not always with urgency."

The email continues as follows:
Your CEO recently stated publicly that he doesn't "feel responsible for any of this, and neither should the platform." This morning, you shared that you have a plan to more proactively moderate violent content, but plan to do so manually with volunteers. It's our view that this nascent plan to use volunteers to promptly identify and remove dangerous content will not work in light of the rapidly growing number of violent posts. This is further demonstrated by the fact that you still have not taken down much of the content that we've sent you. Given the unfortunate events that transpired this past week in Washington, D.C., there is serious risk that this type of content will further incite violence.

Cult

The cultural purge is now in overdrive

Cultural Purge
Four years ago, after the unthinkable happened and the wrong guy won the US election of 2016. I wrote an article about how I had feared a type of "cultural purge" from within the corporate media, Big Tech and cancel culture spheres. Like everybody else, I didn't expect Trump to win (like most other Libertarians, I was holding my nose and pulling for Gary Johnson, whose running mate, Bill Weld, endorsed Hillary Clinton during the election campaign).

What I expected then, after Trump would have unceremoniously lost the 2016 election, was a type of cultural purge against anybody and everybody who enabled his run or supported him. What surprised me was that after he won the cultural purge proceeded anyway. In retrospect it seems obvious, at the time it blindsided me.

For the next four years we watched any (remaining) semblance of objectivity and impartiality wither away from the mainstream media. Even more troubling, was that it was also happening within Big Tech. Everything polarized and all judgement calls became characteristically asymmetrical. As I noted on occasion, that compared to the post 9/11 era when the Neocons controlled the narrative and the word "liberal" was a slur, everything flipped. Now it was the word "conservative" that was unusable and being a single micron to the right of centre was equated with being "literally Hitler".

After Capitol Hill riots, children rat out their right-wing parents to the media

With authorities tracking down the Trump supporters who barged into the US Capitol, teenagers have eagerly turned in their own family members who took part in the riot, and the media has encouraged the Stasi-style snitching.

Days after President Donald Trump's supporters forced their way into the US Capitol and ran riot throughout the building, police and prosecutors are working to identify and track down members of the mob. DC police have already arrested at least 80 people, and Washington DC Attorney General Karl Racine told ABC News on Friday that his office would scour the internet for leads and ask the public to send in tips.

However, a number of young people didn't need to be asked twice. 18-year-old Helena Duke was profiled by Buzzfeed News on Friday for publicly outing her own mother, aunt, and uncle after she saw them in a photo from the Capitol. Duke told Buzzfeed that she ratted out her own family after her mother forbade her from attending a Black Lives Matter protest earlier this year.

"Hi mom remember the time you told me I shouldn't go to BLM protests bc they could get violent...this you?" she tweeted alongside a video showing her mother bleeding from the nose following a scuffle with a black woman.

Comment: Just expect many more stories like the following, about a school teacher who was suspended for attending, will continue to roll in:
A Pennsylvania teacher was suspended this week after taking part in Wednesday's riot at the U.S. Capitol, pending an investigation, the Allentown School District said, according to a report.

The unnamed educator was among a number of people who have reportedly been fired or asked to resign from jobs after being identified as a Capitol rioter, The Morning Call in Allentown reported.

Texas attorney Paul Davis was fired or resigned from Goosehead Insurance after posting videos during the riot, The Houston Chronicle reported.

Dr. Rick Saccone, a former Pennsylvania state representative and adjunct professor, submitted his resignation to St. Vincent College after he posted a video from the Capitol, FOX 43 in York, Pa., reported.

"We believe that all individuals have the right to an opinion, but when beliefs and opinions devolve into illegal and violent activities, there will be no tolerance," the college said in a statement.

Chicago real estate agent, Libby Andrews, was also fired after posting on social media from the Capitol, her former employer announced.

"@properties does not condone violence, destruction or illegal activities," a statement from the company said after explaining she acknowledged she took part in the riot.

A letter from the Allentown superintendent over the unidentified teacher reminded educators to be careful what they post and share online because of how it could affect their students and colleagues.

"While we all have the right to express ourselves, it is important to do so respectfully," the letter said.

10 times Democrats urged violence against Trump and his supporters

pelosi
While Democratic politicians and the corporate media blamed President Donald Trump for the mob riot at the Capitol on Wednesday, saying his rhetoric incited violence, many of these same lawmakers and bureaucrats have for years called for violence and physical action against those who believe differently than they do.

"Hate to break it to you but if Trump had won, there would have been violence on Wednesday, and it most certainly would have been worse. How do I know? Because Democrats have been endorsing violence as a political tactic throughout the Trump Administration," wrote Grabien founder Tom Elliott on Twitter.

In an extensive thread, Elliott outlined many examples of Democratic politicians and other leftists advocating for violence as a response to conservatives.

In 2018, Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu of California said on MSNBC that if Trump fired special counsel Robert Mueller, there would be "widespread civil unrest" as people would "take to the streets."

Similarly, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper agreed that if Trump fired Mueller, it would "set off a firestorm not only on the Hill but also in the streets."

CDC, Miami-Dade to investigate death of Miami Beach doctor following COVID-19 vaccine

To his loved ones and patients, Miami Beach doctor Gregory Michael will be remembered as a "pure soul" and "gentle person" who enjoyed fishing and playing guitar.

The 56-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist, who died Sunday about two weeks after he received a COVID-19 vaccine, is said to have helped "grow Miami one baby at a time," delivering hundreds of healthy children into the world.

"He almost felt like a TV doctor," said Carmen Costomiris, a patient of 10 years whose son Michael delivered in 2013. "Everybody loved him."

Michael ran his own private practice at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach for 12 years, according to his website. The Miami native also worked as a clinical instructor and faculty member for the physician assistant program at Barry University and Miami Dade College.

Comment: Only the latest in a series of Covid vaccine debacles. Condolences to Dr. MIchael's family:

Ben & Jerry's slated for condemning 'white privilege' riot on Capitol Hill: 'Stop making these damn Bolsheviks rich!'

Ben & Jerry's has diversified from the ice cream business, appointing itself an expert on national security and racism. Its explanation of the Capitol Hill riot as "white supremacy" left a sour taste in some customers' mouths.

Ben & Jerry's is no stranger to corporate activism, and has released several #Resistance-pleasing flavors during President Donald Trump's term in office: a vegan dessert honoring kneeling NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, a 'Pecan Resist' flavor to fundraise for anti-Trump organizations, and 'Save our Swirled Now', another vegan flavor to raise awareness of climate change.

The Vermont company also regularly issues proclamations on current events, from a lengthy post this summer declaring its support for the Black Lives Matter movement to a pro-immigration lecture aimed at the UK government this fall. However, the company has taken an even more solemn tone after pro-Trump protesters vandalized the US Capitol on Wednesday.

28 times media and Democrats excused or endorsed violence committed by left-wing activists

After excusing and ignoring riots from leftists all year, Democrats and their allies in the media are ready to condemn riots now that the turmoil has shifted to fit their narrative.

On Wednesday, a mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building. It was an astonishing display of anarchic protest that delayed congressional certification of the Electoral College vote formally handing former Vice President Joe Biden the keys to the White House.

The scenes from the dark day of disaster demonstrations illustrated a deteriorating country, repulsed millions, and traumatized a nation still recovering from the death, despair, and disruption that came to define the dystopian months of 2020. Above all, what happened Wednesday served as a grim reminder that the institutional stress test of 2020 has followed us into 2021.

'It's gonna be like this wherever you go!' Trump supporters confront, heckle Lindsey Graham at DC airport

Lindsey Graham

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) was confronted by angry Trump supporters in Washington, DC, blasting him as a "traitor." The confrontation follows the Republican criticizing the president over the US Capitol riot.

As Graham walked through Reagan National Airport surrounded by police officers, furious protesters surrounded him and screamed, claiming the election "was rigged" and demanding the senator "audit our vote."

"It's gonna be like this forever wherever you go for the rest of your life," one protester says to Graham.

Comment: The events surrounding this fault-ridden election have flushed out those who seek truth, justice and repair for America versus those who remain glued to a self-serving fantasy bent on destroying the country from inside-out. Riding the fence goes nowhere.
