The Language Of Force: How The Police State Muzzles Our Right To Speak Truth To Power

"If the state could use [criminal] laws not for their intended purposes but to silence those who voice unpopular ideas, little would be left of our First Amendment liberties, and little would separate us from the tyrannies of the past or the malignant fiefdoms of our own age. The freedom to speak without risking arrest is 'one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation.'"

- Justice Neil Gorsuch, dissenting, Nieves v. Bartlett (2019)
Tyrants don't like people who speak truth to power.

Cue the rise of protest laws, which take the government's intolerance for free speech to a whole new level and send the resounding message that resistance is futile.

In fact, ever since the Capitol protests on Jan. 6, 2021, state legislatures have introduced a broad array of these laws aimed at criminalizing protest activities.

There have been at least 205 proposed laws in 45 states aimed at curtailing the right to peacefully assemble and protest by expanding the definition of rioting, heightening penalties for existing offenses, or creating new crimes associated with assembly.

Best of the Web: Israel's red heifers and the looming sacrifice at Al-Aqsa mosque to bring about the 'messiah and end times' - CBS

© CBS NewsYitshak Mamo, of Uvne Jerusalem, a group committed to seeing a new Jewish temple built in Jerusalem's Old City, speaks with CBS News at his home in a settlement in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
When Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida began a speech marking the 100th day of the war in Gaza, one confounding yet eye-opening proclamation escaped the headlines. Listing the motives for the Palestinian militant group's Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, he accused Jews of "bringing red cows" to the Holy Land.

The cows he was talking about are red heifers, which now graze at a secure, undisclosed location in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Some Jews and Christians believe they're key to rebuilding the Jewish temple that once stood in Jerusalem, and to beckoning the Messiah.

To understand, you have to look back almost 2,000 years in the tumultuous history of the Middle East, when the ancient Romans destroyed the last temple in Jerusalem.

To rebuild it, fervent believers point to the Bible's Book of Numbers, which commands the Israelites to offer "a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke."

Pennsylvania Amish farmer wins court victory after government raid on farm

An Amish farmer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, embroiled in a lawsuit by the state's Department of Agriculture over the sale of his raw dairy products, will once again be permitted to sell his goods across state lines, according to a statement released on social media by his attorney.

"Major win today for #AmosMiller the #Amish farmer," attorney Robert E. Barnes posted on X, formerly Twitter, on March 19. "Court agreed to modify injunction so that it only applies within the state of Pennsylvania removing the ban on sales to customers outside [the] state."

In an interview with The Epoch Times, Mr. Barnes claimed prosecutors had tried to make an example out of his client, Amos Miller.

"The goal of this case was to make a precedent out of Amos Miller and to discourage small farmers from being in existence," Mr. Barnes said.

"If they control our food, they can control the people."

Comment: Mr. Miller has been waging his legal battle for years. He's not the only target of government overreach: What is different about the Amish (aside from clean eating, clean living, and strong family values)?

Oregon: War on food is spreading in US through land-use restrictions

oregon farm
Remember, it really is all about depopulation

The World Economic Forum warned us several years ago that its ultimate goal was to destroy the middle class. How else would you explain their slogan: "You will own nothing and learn to like it"?

This mantra is playing out in real time in the state of Oregon, and other states, in various forms which we will get into in this article.

Small farmers are under attack in the Beaver State, which has begun shutting down family farms throughout the state under the guise of water conservation and groundwater protection.

The owner of Yanasa Ama Ranch shared a 20-minute video explaining what is going on in Oregon as bureaucrats erroneously classify small family farms and homesteads as "concentrated animal feeding operations," or CAFOs, in order to shut them down. Any feeding area that has a concrete, rock or gravel floor falls into this category, which would include most small dairy or egg farms.

If you have two or three milking cows, the rancher explains, you are now targeted by the state for closure.

Turns out we DO have a Deep State according to the NY Times ...and it's "awesome"

deep state
After years of denials, the mainstream media has decided to admit the Deep State does exist...and apparently it's "awesome".

At least, according to this new video from the New York Times:
It Turns Out the 'Deep State' Is Actually Kind of Awesome
The video itself is a six-minute strawman, presenting interviews with rocket scientists - as if they genuinely think that's what people mean when they refer to the deep state - then piling on insanely manipulative attempts to "humanise" the concept of the Deep State by talking about these guys' hobbies and interests.

It's cheesy and flippant and every bit as cringe as it sounds:

"Invasion": Riot erupts after migrant swarm breaches US southern border, National Guard overwhelmed

© James Breeden for New York Post / MegaA group of over 100 migrants attempting to enter the U.S. illegally rush a border fence on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
Shocking scenes were caught on tape in El Paso - which technically is in Texas but may as well be in Mexico - on Thursday afternoon when a massive swarm of angry illegal aliens stormed the key chokepoint to the US southern border, breaking through the border wall and steamrolling National Guard troops.

For those still unconvinced, this nation is being invaded, this video of illegals storming the border today should convince you otherwise.

The illegal immigrants are seen pulling the barrier open as four National Guardsmen try to keep them from crossing the border in the video posted on X by New York Post reporter Jennie Taer Thursday. The illegal immigrants rush through the gap opened, almost tramping the National Guard personnel, until coming up against a second, sturdier barrier.

Ternopol Region in western Ukraine announced on Tuesday that it had decorated Yaroslav Hunka, the World War II Nazi soldier controversially cheered by Canadian lawmakers in parliament. The medal was presented on Hunka's 99th birthday to his great-niece.

Hunka served in the 14th Waffen SS division, which was made up of Ukrainian volunteers and was responsible for atrocities against Poles, Jews, and the Soviet resistance.

Ternopol official Oleg Sirotyuk handed the 'Yaroslav Stetsko' medal for service to Hunka's relative, Olga Vitkovska, with the expectation that she will eventually present it to her great-uncle in Canada.

The regional council had voted to give Hunka the medal on February 6, citing his "significant personal contribution to the provision of assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, active charity and public activity," according to a document quoted by the Ukrainian outlet Suspilne.

A renowned Moscow region concert venue and shopping centre is on fire on Friday evening, following reports of a mass shooting incident.

At least three gunmen, wearing combat fatigues, burst into Crocus City Hall and fired automatic weapons, injuring dozens of patrons and killing a significant number of them, according to Russian media.

Some media report that 40 people were killed and more than 100 injured as a result of the shooting. No official confirmation has been issued yet.

Press outlets report the use of explosives and video shows black smoke rising above the building. State news wire service TASS suggests up to a third of the huge complex has been engulfed in flames.

Comment: It is likely no coincidence that on March 8th the American and British embassies issued a warning telling all US nationals still in Russia to avoid large gatherings and public venues in Moscow. What did they know?

Leftist protesters disrupt Kyle Rittenhouse TPUSA event at the University of Memphis

TPUSA said they 'gathered credible information' school admin leaked ticketing information to protest groups

Outraged protesters at the University of Memphis disrupted a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event featuring Kyle Rittenhouse on Wednesday night.

TPUSA's college chapter at the university invited Rittenhouse to speak about the Second Amendment and self-defense, but the event spiraled into chaos when some students disrupted parts of Rittenhouse's Q&A and chased attendees leaving the campus, video captured at the event shows.

According to TPUSA, the university took "unprecedented actions to undermine our event," after previous ticket holders were alerted before the event that their seats were no longer reserved and that they would have to rebook.

Comment: Breitbart reports in detail how TPUSA's event was harassed:
University of Memphis administrators tried to sabotage a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event featuring Kyle Rittenhouse by issuing last-minute demands in order for the event to proceed, and then leaked private information to protesters, the organization said.

An audio recording also revealed a purported school administrator laughing after a TPUSA chapter leader told her he had been doxed by protesters.

Administrators told the school's TPUSA student leaders that they would need to make changes to their previously-approved ticketing process, or else their event, scheduled for the following day, would not be able to proceed, the organization said.

The last-minute change involved re-ticketing attendees through the university's ticketing system on short notice, Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet told Breitbart News.

Kolvet explained that TPUSA uses its own ticketing system to prevent an event-sabotaging stunt commonly attempted by protesters, which involves reserving all the seats — robbing would-be attendees of the opportunity to obtain tickets — and then staging a walkout, leaving the venue empty during the event.

On the night before the event was set to take place, Melanie Murry, the school's legal counsel, and Melinda Carlson, the university's vice president for student affairs, informed TPUSA staff and student leaders in a private meeting that the school would send an email at 9:00 a.m. informing registrants that their tickets were invalid and redirect them to a new link for re-ticketing.

But 30 minutes before that link was set to go live, this private information was somehow leaked to protesters, TPUSA said.

A few students affiliated with TPUSA had infiltrated a group chat in which protesters were communicating their plans with one another. While monitoring this group chat, the conservative students saw that protesters had been tipped off to the re-ticketing plan.

A purported message sent to the protesters' group chat read as follows:
Just as an update I know many of us had tickets that now are not working. I was told that they will be re-ticketing the event tomorrow morning between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Please make sure to get a new ticket so more of us can participate in the walkout aspect of the protest.
"The protestors knew exactly what was going to happen before it was public knowledge," Kolvet told Breitbart News. "There is no way these groups could have known the new ticketing timing and protocol without school administrators leaking that information."

"This is unprecedented," the TPUSA spokesperson continued. "We've never had to deal with a day of ticketing change, nor have we had to deal with an administration leaking our ticket information."

"These are remarkable steps that the university seems to be taking to impede and potentially sabotage our event with Kyle Rittenhouse," Kolvet added. "We are certainly used to hostile administrations, but never to this extent."

University administrators also reduced the number of seats that TPUSA was allowed to reserve from more than fifty to just eight, the organization said.

To make matters worse, the TPUSA chapter president at the University of Memphis was doxed by protesters, the organization added.

Breitbart News reviewed a purported social media post that published the TPUSA chapter president's name, phone number, and address, alongside a message that read, "Let him know how you feel about his decision to provoke black students by inviting a racist murderer on campus."

But the shocking revelations didn't end there.

A recorded conversation provided by TPUSA to Breitbart News revealed an apparent administrator, who is said to be the university's Director of Conferences and Event Services, laughing and saying, "You probably shouldn't stay there tonight," after the TPUSA chapter president asked what he should do about being doxed.

Meanwhile, a man in the recording who is said to be a campus officer appeared to brush off the doxing by repeatedly telling the student that his phone number and address is technically "public information," seemingly failing to consider that doxing means purposely promulgating personal information — public or private — with malicious intent.

Poles unhappy with government's handling of farmer protests - poll

Almost 50% of Polish people think their government has failed to handle ongoing widespread farmer protests, a recent survey has shown. Respondents to a survey assessing the first 100 days of the country's government also expressed dissatisfaction at how long the new coalition is taking to fulfill promises it made during the recent election campaign.

Polish farmers have been staging regular protests across the country, maintaining continuous blockades of border crossings with Ukraine since January. Farmers oppose restrictions placed on them under the EU's Green Deal and the continued flow of duty-free Ukrainian agricultural products, which they claim threatens their livelihoods.

Despite the authorities in Warsaw making certain concessions in a bid to appease the demonstrators, agricultural workers have refused to relent, arguing that the issue of unfair competition from cheap Ukrainian produce has not been fully addressed.

Polish legal and business daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported the findings of a poll on Wednesday, conducted by the United Surveys research center between March 8 and March 10, surveying 1,000 Poles on the performance of Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government.

According to the newspaper, 47% of respondents described the cabinet's response to the farmers' protests as a "defeat," with 32% saying the measures adopted had been sufficient, and 21% giving no clear answer.

Comment: EU nation states are clearly not listening to their peoples and even their "concessions" are set up to make the intended policies happen anyways. What can the people do but express their discontent?
