British Columbia's health authority has released tips for engaging in safer sex amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The advice turned out to be quite kinky, as the public was urged to avoid sharing sex toys and use glory holes instead.

The list of tips, titled 'COVID-19 and Sex', was released by the British Columbia Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) this week, promptly catching the eye of many on social media. The document shares pertinent advice about how to have sex during the pandemic, with some of the kinky advice raising many an eyebrow.

The health authority said that during these hard times, masturbation might indeed be the best option, stressing that "you are your safest sex partner."

Planned Parenthood's New York chapter disavows founder Margaret Sanger over racist eugenics

Margaret Sanger
Margaret Sanger, shown in a 1959 photo, founder of the birth control movement in the United States, died in a nursing home Sept. 6, 1966, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America announced. She was 83 years old.
Planned Parenthood of Greater New York is removing the name of Margaret Sanger, the founder of the nation's largest abortion provider, from its New York City clinic due to her "harmful connection to the eugenics movement," the group said Tuesday.

The announcement comes after more than 350 current and former staffers at the Manhattan clinic, as well as 800 donors, supporters and volunteers, called Sanger "a racist, white woman." An open letter on June 18 to Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, criticized the organization as "steeped in white supremacy," the Washington Times reports.

For decades, pro-life activists pointed out Sanger's racism, but in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement, Planned Parenthood said it is addressing the problem.

"The removal of Margaret Sanger's name from our building is both a necessary and overdue step to reckon with our legacy and acknowledge Planned Parenthood's contributions to historical reproductive harm within communities of color," Karen Seltzer, the chair of the New York affiliate's board, said in a statement.

Comment: The United States has suffered a great loss of value in the ongoing disintegration of the family unit, and Planned Parenthood has played a significant role and force in this. Focusing their efforts on actually planning for parenthood and creating strong, healthy families would be a step forward. Or they could just remove Sanger's name from the building. That'll surely help.

Russian visa liberalization continues as MPs pass law to let foreigners into the country WITHOUT paper visa

The Russian visa process is about to get a lot easier. Parliament has passed a long-awaited law allowing foreigners to visit the country for 16 days with an e-visa, beginning in 2021.

The new electronic visa allows the holder a single entry into the world's biggest country for the purposes of visiting someone, business, tourism, or participation in an event. Not everyone can come to Russia with an e-visa at present, though; citizens from countries including the US, United Kingdom and Canada are currently excluded.

Electronic visas have been part of the Russian migration system since 2017, allowing citizens of certain countries to go to the Far East and Kaliningrad without the need to visit an embassy. In 2019, this was expanded to Saint Petersburg, for citizens of 53 countries.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of three friends who were attacked while fishing on a Florida lake. One of the victims managed to call his father in his final moments, raising the alarm.

The victims - Kevin Springfield, Brandon Rollins, and Damion Tillman - had met up for some night fishing in Frostproof, Florida on Friday when they were apparently set upon. The trio were severely beaten and shot, but Rollins managed to call his father and tell him of the attack before he too succumbed to his injuries.

On Wednesday, suspects Tony Wiggins, his girlfriend Mary Whittemore, and his brother William Wiggins, were apprehended by Polk County Sheriff's office over the killings.

UK cops should realise that calling a jihadi a 'faith-claimed terrorist' will neither stop jihadism nor tackle islamophobia

British police are considering dropping terms like "jihadi" and "Islamist terrorism" from official communications, to improve "community relations." This verbal chicanery takes the public, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, for fools.

The National Association of Muslim Police have called for the change to be considered because the current terms do not help "public confidence".

Among the inventive alternatives suggested are 'faith-claimed terrorism', 'terrorists abusing religious motivations' and 'adherents of Osama bin Laden's ideology'. Even by British policing's herculeanly woke standards this is absurd and, more importantly, counterproductive.

If a society is to address an issue, they must first be able to identify it. Regrettable though it is, the fact of the matter is that there is a problem with Islamic terrorism and radicalism in Britain. This has been demonstrated by hundreds if not thousands British citizens having run off to join ISIS over the years and multiple terror attacks from the 7/7 bombings of 2005 to last year's London Bridge attack. There was a common theme with these attacks and that was and is Islamic terrorism.

Comment: Nice-ing up the rhetoric to not offend/trigger heartless criminal-minded actors hell-bent on murder and destruction is a huge disservice to humanity. When has this ever worked? Fragility never trumps unrestricted rage. If you think so, you won't be here long. And, shame on governments who put forth terror actors and send them into someone else's back yard. We, as the peaceful public, are not MAD enough!!!

The Scarlet Letter of Covid-19

"Wearing a mask is an act of love." I have about a dozen similar little snippets of wisdom collected over the recent weeks, as I am sure most of you have also witnessed if you are a frequent visitor of Facebook. If wearing a mask is an act of love, what would not wearing a mask be an act of? I have often heard it directly referred to as an act of extreme selfishness, among other equally shaming descriptions.

Early on mask wearers described those they encountered who do not wear masks as "dismaying, confusing," or "selfish" these descriptions have now evolved to "hateful, moronic, disgusting," or "unconscionable."

Wearing, or its reverse, not wearing, a mask no longer seems to be a medical choice — something to ward off Covid-19 transmission, but it has become more of a social or political statement — a device to indicate "who is with us" and "who is against us."

Khabarovsk politicians quit after Putin sends fellow LDPR member from Moscow to replace governor

Mikhail Degtyarev

He might be one of their own, but new Khabarovsk governor Mikhail Degtyarev isn't local enough for two Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) members in the Far Eastern city. They've quit after President Putin sent him to their region.

The two regional government politicians, Petr Emelyanov and Alexander Kayan, opted to leave the far-right LDPR after Degtyarev, an MP from the city of Samara - over 5,000km west of Khabarovsk - was chosen to replace the highly popular Governor Sergey Furgal.

Furgal and Degtyarev are both members of the LDPR, and some local opposition figures believe the replacement to be a favor to party leadership, rather than the best choice for Khabarovsk. In 2013 and 2018, Degtyarev ran as a candidate for Mayor of Moscow, neither time achieving double-figure support.

Comment: Meanwhile, rallies continue now targeting the newly appointed governor:
Hundreds of supporters of the arrested ex-governor of Russia's Far Eastern Khabarovsk region, Sergei Furgal, rallied for an 11th day in the regional capital, denouncing newly appointed acting Governor Mikhail Degtyaryov.

Degtyaryov met with the region's officials for the first time and said that his main priority is to increase efforts to slow down the spread of the coronavirus in the region and become familiar with local social and economic issues.

Protesters also expressed their anger over the new appointment online with more than 1,300 comments under Degtyaryov's latest Instagram post, the majority of which appeared to criticize the acting governor.

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) had also warned of an alleged terrorist threat involving explosives, which it claimed to have already foiled.

In addition, the authorities in the Khabarovsk region said they were considering a return to strict quarantine measures and attributed this to the "difficult situation with the spread of the coronavirus infection."

Ukraine hostage siege ends as Zelensky fulfills gunman's bizarre demand by endorsing 2005 Joaquin Phoenix film

The gunman who took some 20 people hostage in a western Ukrainian city has freed them after President Volodymyr Zelensky fulfilled his rather strange wish.

Giving in to the gunman's demands, Zelensky recorded a short video address and released it online. By then, the hostage situation in the city of Lutsk had been unfolding for more than nine hours.

"The film Earthlings, 2005. Must watch, everyone," the president says in the clip - exactly as the hostage-taker requested.

Bay Area city washes away BLM street art after resident asks for MAGA 2020 painting

Roughly two weeks after a massive Black Lives Matter street painting appeared in downtown Redwood City, Calif., it was washed away - leaving the asphalt without a trace of the message's familiar bright yellow paint. But unlike in other cities where vandals targeting BLM murals have been arrested and even charged with a hate crime, this time it was the city that suddenly removed the artwork.

Despite granting permission for the temporary street art and even providing the paint for the July 4 project, officials in the Northern California city ordered the painting removed from its prime location late last week, KPIX reported.

City spokeswoman Jennifer Yamaguma told The Washington Post in a statement early Wednesday:
"Staff is concerned about public safety issues that may arise from painting murals on its public streets, which could result in driver confusion and traffic accidents. Thus, the existing mural has been removed from Broadway and no further art installation will be authorized on the City's streets."
But supporters of the artwork, who have expressed outrage over its removal, point to another factor they say actually prompted the city to take action: one resident's request to paint "MAGA 2020" along the same stretch of street.

California officials free 'Mr. Rape, Torture, Kill' sex offender from mental hospital

California state officials have freed a sex offender considered "dangerous" from a mental hospital where he spent more than 20 years there in confinement.

Cary Jay Smith, 59 years old, was released from the Coalinga State Hospital this month after being in state custody since 1999. Smith was originally placed in state custody after his wife provided evidence of her husband's intentions to sexually abuse a seven-year-old boy in their Costa Mesa neighborhood.

During hearings every six years, Smith has said that he goes by the name "Mr. RTK," which stands for "Mr. Rape, Torture, Kill" and has claimed to have murdered three boys and sexually abused 200 others. Smith has said he fantasizes about raping and killing boys.
