Fascist California Gov. Newsom orders ban on singing at religious ceremonies

Californians are still free to attend their house of worship. But they're not supposed to sing or chant.

Citing the risk of spreading the coronavirus, updated COVID-19 guidelines issued Wednesday by the state Department of Public Health say "places of worship must therefore discontinue singing and chanting activities."

In previously allowing religious organizations to reopen in late May, the state merely said these institutions should "strongly consider discontinuing singing, group recitation, and other practices and performances."

Health agencies such as the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say shouting or singing can spread the coronavirus just as easily as coughing or sneezing.


Comment: So singing is not safe but if you protest in the streets with thousands of people around you, you're fine. The logic of the leftists is mind boggling.

North Korea does not need to engage in talks with the United States, as a meeting would be nothing more than a "tool for grappling" with Washington's "political crisis," a senior Pyongyang diplomat said.

First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choe Son-hui said negotiations between Pyongyang and Washington would not work out, and that there will be no change to North Korea's position. She said the US is persisting with a "hostile policy" towards Pyongyang and that any approach from Washington would be a "shallow trick," according to a statement published by North Korea's KCNA news agency.

Her remarks come as US Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun is set to visit South Korea next week. South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Wednesday that President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un should meet again before the US election in November.

The July 1st deadline has come and gone, and annexation hasn't arrived. But don't celebrate yet. It's delayed not cancelled. The Trump White House is divided on the details; the international protest is stronger than expected; and Israel has a renewed coronavirus crisis that ought to be getting its government's full attention.

But with Donald Trump's polling numbers in the US tumbling and rumours that Trump may even drop out of the November election if he thinks he can't win, Prime Minister Netanyahu will be wanting to get the ball rolling on annexation as soon as possible.

And once it's on the Knesset statute books will it ever come off? Like the Settlements project, annexation will creep forward month-by-month and year-by-year until the desired new status quo is achieved. That means enlarged Israeli sovereignty/apartheid (ultimately including the Jordan Valley), total control of security from 'the river to the sea' and disconnected, semi-autonomous Palestinian Bantustans. Trump will have been the enabler, but the political legacy will be Netanyahu's to enjoy and the Palestinians to endure.

An intelligence memo commissioned by the Trump administration has attempted to raise doubts regarding CIA intelligence that claimed Russia offered bounties to kill U.S. and coalition troops in Afghanistan, the New York Times reported, citing three officials.

The memo, produced by the National Intelligence Council, reportedly contains no new information but emphasizes uncertainties and gaps in evidence present in the original report.

The memo reportedly states that the CIA and the National Counterterrorism Center had assessed with "medium confidence" — i.e. short of near certainty — that Russian intelligence offered the bounties.

The new memo is dated July 1, and as noted by the Times, appears to have been commissioned after its June 26 report that the White House had not authorized action against Russia despite being briefed on the intelligence findings back in March.

Former national security officials believe that politics may have influenced the production of the memo with the intent to bolster the Trump administration's attempts to justify its inaction.

Comment: National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien confirmed the intel was determined unreliable and Trump, therefore, was not updated.

Who is putting US troops in harms way? The US Congress. It is determined to not let 'the war' end.

Palestine has been annexed, occupied, stolen, and Palestinians have been dispossessed, exiled, caged, detained, subjected to an apartheid regime, and killed by the state of Israel for over seven decades. Every few years the world wakes up to protest some aspect of Israeli apartheid, occupation, or a massacre, and then it returns safely to its deep slumber.

Every so often, Israel manages to awaken the angst of the European Union and other international organizations with some announcement or another, a murderous attack on Palestinians, a declaration of annexation or "sovereignty," and then, as if under the influence of a spell, the angst disappears just as fast as it arose. What usually follows is a long procession of world leaders coming to visit Israel or inviting the Israeli prime minister to their capital to bestow their love and respect for him and the so-called Jewish State.

The wise words of socialist poet and playwright Bertold Brecht should be copied, promoted and shouted across the world in the light of yesterday's shocking decision of Supreme Court Judge Nigel Teare in London to uphold the obscene and deadly decision of the Bank of England to rob the nation of Venezuela of its £820 million of gold assets.

In a decision bereft of democratic accountability Britain's High Court has demonstrated clearly that law is not a question of justice but merely politics by another means. Venezuela is already struggling with the consequences of a cruel and illegal programme of economic sanctions imposed by the United States which has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of men, women and children for want of essential medicines and necessary foodstuffs; but now in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, they are being prevented from access to their own gold reserves to pay for vital medical supplies and equipment to fight the virus.

In an unusual move, the Vatican summoned both American and Israeli envoys to express the Holy See's concern about Israel's plans to extend its sovereignty to large swathes of the occupied Palestinian West Bank.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Vatican said that meetings between the Vatican's secretary of state, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, US Ambassador Callista Gingrich, and Israeli Ambassador Oren David took place Tuesday.

Reuters news agency reported, citing senior diplomatic sources in the Vatican, that Parolin met the two diplomats separately.

Alan Dershowitz has penned a staunch defence of Ghislaine Maxwell following her arrest by the FBI. But his touting of her friendship with the Clintons as evidence of her character has left many incredulously scoffing.

The famous lawyer penned an op-ed for The Spectator in which he sought to set out his own relationship with Jeffrey Epstein's alleged madam and argue that she must be presumed innocent.

Dershowitz, who has himself faced accusations of involvement in Epstein's sex ring, explains that he was first introduced to the British socialite by a member of the Rothschild family and when he subsequently met her, on "several occasions", she was in the presence of esteemed people such as Nobel Prize winners, university presidents and even Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The irony of citing the Clintons as character references for a person accused of misconduct relating to sex didn't go unnoticed and many took to Twitter to point this out.

A Dutch court investigating the downing of MH17 has agreed to hear from Almaz-Antey, a Russian arms manufacturer, which argues that the prevailing Western narrative - that rebels in eastern Ukraine shot down the plane - is false.

The hearing in Badhoevedorp, Netherlands says it will explore alternative scenarios in the high-profile trial, in which four anti-Kiev fighters stand accused of using a Russian anti-aircraft missile to destroy the civilian plane, killing 283 passengers - mostly Dutch - and 15 crew on board.

Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was downed over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. It was crossing airspace which had not been closed despite the Ukrainian civil war raging below.

Comment: Isn't it strange, all the focus is still being kept on a possibly ficticious BUK, when there are plenty of local witnesses attesting to Ukrainian fighter jets tailing the aircraft just before it crashed. Where are they? And any sensible person would look at the cockpit wreckage and conclude it had been strafed by machine-gun fire. Yet Russia is compelled to play along with the farce.
