France is wrong about deploying instructors to Kiev, Margarita Robles has said

Sending NATO troops to Ukraine would represent an unacceptable escalation of the conflict with Russia, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles has warned.

Robles spoke on Monday at an event for female diplomats, organized by the German ambassador to Madrid. She addressed Spain's recent security pact with Ukraine and aid to Kiev.
"We are living in the most dangerous situation since the Second World War," Robles told the gathering, pointing out that ballistic missiles "know no borders."
Commenting on recent remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron - backed by some European NATO members - about possibly sending troops to Ukraine, Robles said Spain is "totally" against it. While Madrid respects the position of Paris, "we must be very careful not to give excuses" to Russia for escalating the conflict, she explained.

Israeli officials said Monday, June 17, that Netanyahu has dissolved the influential War Cabinet that was tasked with steering the war in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dissolved his war cabinet that was responsible for key decisions relating to the Israel-Hamas conflict, officials told the Associated Press.

The move comes after war cabinet minister Benny Gantz quit last week, saying the prime minister was making "total victory impossible." In announcing his resignation, Gantz said the government needs to put the return of the hostages seized Oct. 7 by Hamas "above political survival."

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the change with the media, said that going forward Netanyahu would hold smaller forums with some of his government members for sensitive issues surrounding the war.

Critics say Netanyahu's wartime decision-making has been influenced by ultranationalists in his government who oppose a deal that would bring about a cease-fire in exchange for the release of hostages, according to the AP. Netanyahu denies the accusations and says he has the country's best interests in mind.

Washington has reportedly rebuked Vietnam for hosting talks later this week with the Russian president

The US Embassy in Hanoi has reportedly denounced the Vietnamese government for hosting a state visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin, marking the latest failure by Washington to isolate Moscow over its conflict with Ukraine.

"No country should give Putin a platform to promote his war of aggression and otherwise allow him to normalize his atrocities," an embassy spokesperson told Reuters on Monday. "If he is able to travel freely, it could normalize Russia's blatant violations of international law."

The statement came in reaction to media reports that Putin will make a two-day visit to Vietnam, starting on Wednesday. The Russian leader is scheduled to meet in Hanoi with his Vietnamese counterpart, To Lam, and other leaders of the Southeast Asian nation.

Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit Pyongyang for the first time since 2000

Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for its friendship and support and pledged to assist Pyongyang in its own struggle for independence and identity.

Putin is scheduled to visit North Korea on Tuesday, for the first time since 2000. Ahead of his trip, the Russian president has written an article published by the leading DPRK daily, Rodong Sinmun.

Putin reveals goals of North Korea trip

To bring "more democracy and stability to international relations," Russia and North Korea "will develop alternative trade and mutual settlements mechanisms not controlled by the West, jointly oppose illegitimate unilateral restrictions, and shape the architecture of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia," Putin wrote.

He also pledged to increase "people-to-people interaction" between the two countries, including "academic mobility" between higher education institutions, tourism, "as well as cultural, educational, youth and sports exchanges" to promote confidence, mutual understanding and well-being.

Putin reminded Koreans that the Soviet army helped liberate them from Japanese occupation in 1945 and that Moscow was the first to recognize the DPRK and establish diplomatic relations with Pyongyang. The USSR also helped rebuild the country after the devastation of the Korean War (1950-1953) with the US-backed South.

Putin called out the US and other NATO members for supplying long-range missiles targeting deep into Russian territory. He warned that such escalations could backfire for the West as Moscow weighs its options.
"If someone deems it possible to supply such weapons to the war zone, to strike our territory..., why shouldn't we supply similar weapons to those regions of the world where they will be used against sensitive sites of these countries?" Putin asked. "We can respond asymmetrically. We will give it a thought."

Shock poll shows Trump pulling away from Biden in one-time swing state Iowa

Trump tops Biden by nearly 20 points in a heartland state that was once a crucial general election battleground

Former President Trump holds an 18-point lead over President Biden in Iowa, according to a new poll in a one-time crucial general election battleground state that's shifted to the right over the past decade.

Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, stands at 50% with Biden at 32% among likely voters in a Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll released on Monday.

Democrat turned independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who says he's qualified to make Iowa's ballot, grabbed 9% support, with Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver at 3%, and 3% backing other candidates, according to the survey.

Comment: With numbers like these, it will be interesting to see how in-your-face the Democrat election rig will be. Or possibly, from a different viewpoint, since the economy is ready to tank, Ukraine is unraveling and de-dollarization is on the horizon, why not leave Trump holding the bag for all the Democrat/Deep State villainy?

Kremlin: 'Zelensky regime' incapable of negotiating

Kiev has proven to be inconsistent when it comes to conducting peace talks, Russia's ambassador to the UN has said

Ukraine has repeatedly shown that it is untrustworthy when it comes to peace negotiations, despite Russia's numerous attempts to resolve the conflict with Kiev diplomatically, Moscow's ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, has said.

In an interview with RIA Novosti on Monday, the diplomat noted that Moscow has consistently expressed readiness for dialogue, stressing that these initiatives are not just "statements of a declarative nature."

"In April 2022, our negotiators initialed the Istanbul Agreements. They were also signed by the heads of the Ukrainian delegation," Nebenzia recalled, referring to the peace deal almost concluded between Russia and Ukraine in the early stages of the conflict.

Comment: Russia also continues to hammer home the point that Zelensky is no longer the legitimate leader of Ukraine as his mandate officially ran out May 21, 2024, and therefore has no reason to talk to him.

Israel threatens it's on 'brink' of all-out war with Hezbollah, Lebanese MP says the resistance is 'ready'

Israeli officials warned that the country is on the "brink" of a full-scale war with Hezbollah if the terrorist group continues to increase its aggression in northern Israel.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) made the warning on Sunday, just a day before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to meet with Amos Hochstein, a top aide to President Biden. Biden's administration is pushing Israel to avoid a war in Lebanon, but IDF officials continue to highlight the outsized threat posed by Hezbollah compared to Hamas.

"Hezbollah's increasing aggression is bringing us to the brink of what could be a wider escalation," an IDF spokesman warned Sunday.

Israel welcome to invade Lebanon, resistance is ready: Hezbollah MP

During a conversation co-hosted by The Cradle on 16 June, Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese MP Ibrahim Moussawi shared his perspectives on the ongoing war between Israel and the Axis of Resistance in Lebanon and Gaza.

In relation to the possibility of a larger war erupting on the Israeli-Lebanese border, Moussawi stated that neither Hezbollah nor Israel wants a wider war but that the Islamic resistance is ready if Israel decides to invade.

"If they want to come to Lebanon, they are welcome. We are waiting for them. Ahlan wa Sahlan, as they say in Arabic," he stated.
Ibrahim Moussawi

Moussawi noted that Israel is having difficulty managing the war in Gaza and asked where Israel would get the troops to launch a much more difficult invasion of Lebanon. "They can't manage themselves in Gaza, and they want to come here? In Gaza, they are not fighting. They are just bombarding and sending drones. But if they do come, we are anxiously waiting for them. We have made preparations that they can never imagine," he added.

Regarding Hezbollah's accomplishments in the war against Israel so far, the Lebanese MP pointed out that the party's daily attacks against Israeli military positions and settlements have displaced some 200,000 Israelis and paralyzed economic activity in areas that Israel long viewed as secure.

Moussawi stated, "In Lebanon, at the beginning of the war, many started to mock and say our interference was not helpful. It is not doing anything. But Israelis are the experts. Their leaders and their intelligence apparatus have admitted that the front in northern Palestine has caused great suffering for Israelis."

He added that Hezbollah is fighting a "war of attrition" against Israel along a 120-kilometer front line that has now lasted eight months and involved thousands of operations.

"We are talking about huge losses they do not admit, but later they will. It is unprecedented. It costs them a lot on the moral and military levels."

When asked about recent Israeli threats to bomb civilians in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, as the Israeli army did during its invasion of Lebanon in 1982, Moussawi explained, "That was in the past, not the present. Now, if they destroy, we destroy. If they destroy our infrastructure, we will destroy their infrastructure. The Israelis know very well that Hezbollah is capable of targeting in a very precise way any place in occupied Palestine with our ballistic missiles and drones, from here in the north to the farthest point in the south. So if they think they can come to Lebanon, we are ready for it. They are welcome."

Regarding Hezbollah's goals, Moussawi stated that the party must ensure the resistance in Gaza is not crushed and that this goal has been successful thus far. He said that over 70 percent of Hamas' leadership and fighting brigades are intact and that they have reorganized to overcome the losses Israel has inflicted on them so far.

"I will tell you that Hamas has won the war. They can fight for months to come, if not for years. They are ready to fight like on the 8th of October." Moussawi stated.

He added, "The kind of morale they have, the kind of belief they have, cannot be defeated. All the Palestinians fighting for Hamas and Islamic Jihad are heroes, superheroes. And even more so, the Palestinian women are heroes. They continue to shed their blood and have never raised the white flag. They never surrender or stab the resistance in the back."
Indeed, Palestinians have shown incredible fortitude in the face of decades of torment by the terrorist, occupying state of Israel.

Meanwhile, in just the last 8 months or so, 500,000+ Israelis have fled the country; the psychological state of those that remain is questionable, with the vast majority supporting the genocide, some calling for even greater terrorism, and a significant minority suffering from mental health problems (despite suffering little direct contact with the genocide itself). Furthermore, Israel's economy is flailing, and the number of officials that have resigned is not insignificant.

Putin to visit North Korea for first time in 24 years

putin kim
© KCNA via REUTERSRussia's President Vladimir Putin and North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un attend a meeting at the Vostochny cosmodrome in the far eastern Amur region, Russia, September 13, 2023 in this image released by North Korea's Korean Central News Agency.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit North Korea on Tuesday and Wednesday for the first time in 24 years, the two countries said, underscoring Moscow's burgeoning partnership with the nuclear-armed state since the invasion of Ukraine.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un extended an invitation to Putin during a visit to Russia's Far East last September. Putin last visited Pyongyang in July 2000.

Russia and North Korea may sign a partnership agreement during the visit that would include security issues, Putin's foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said. He said the deal would not be directed against any other country.

Any agreement would "outline prospects for further cooperation, and will be signed taking into account what has happened between our countries in recent years - in the field of international politics, in the field of economics... including, of course, taking into account security issues."

Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Putin's point man for energy, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, are in the delegation.

Comment: Given that NATO seems to be hellbent on escalating tensions with Russia; Israel is allegedly intending to expand the conflict in the Middle East with greater attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon; and with the West's other major front against China, via Taiwan, simmering; Putin's visit to ally, nuclear capable, North Korea is perhaps a sign of just serious preparations are:

Pentagon wants to feed troops 'experimental' lab-grown meat to 'reduce CO2 footprint'

A Pentagon-funded company is seeking proposals to feed America's soldiers lab-grown meat in a bid to "reduce the CO2 footprint" at Defense Department outposts.

BioMADE, a public-private company that has received more than $500 million in funding from the Defense Department, announced earlier this month that it is seeking proposals to develop "innovations in food production that reduce the CO2 footprint of food production at ... DoD operational environments," according to an online announcement.

These include "novel cell culture methods suitable for the production of cultivated meat/protein," or lab-grown meat, a product that is still in its experimental phases. This type of meat is grown in a lab from animal cells with the aid of other chemicals, and has emerged as a flashpoint in debates about the efficacy and morality of manufacturing meat products without slaughtering animals.

"Forced obedience to obvious lies is the essence of totalitarianism. It's the ultimate flex for psychopaths." — Dr. Toby Rogers

You realize, don't you, that everything going on around the Ukraine fiasco on the NATO side is completely insane? The folks running the US government — Barack Obama and his witches' coven — started the whole thing over there in concert with a gang of corporate players (BlackRock, sundry oil-and-gas companies, Haliburton types, arms-makers, bunch of big banks), plus the dastardly WEF for "guidance" (ha!), looking to grab the mineral wealth of Ukraine and, ultimately, of Russia itself. Nice try. Didn't work out. Tons of money pounded down a rat hole.

Now, the chatter is that we (NATO) "can't afford to lose." Yeah? But we're losing. Russia will hold the eastern Ukraine provinces and what's left in the rest of Ukraine will be a failed state drained of men under sixty able to work at anything, bankrupt, broken. It will take a century, if ever, for Ukraine to recover from all that and the West will have gained nothing. Anyway, that's the true prospect. And so, the West's "solution" to that humiliating quandary appears to be: start a bigger war, right up to and including nukes. That's good thinking there, Butch, said Sundance.
