Israel's main goal is the extermination of Palestinians - retired NATO colonel

The IDF's "brute force" strategy makes no sense from a counterinsurgency perspective, Col. Jacques Baud has claimed

Israel's tactics in Gaza go against all the rules of counterinsurgency and can only be explained as a deliberate effort to "eliminate the Palestinians," former NATO analyst and Swiss intelligence officer Col. Jacques Baud has said.

Speaking to 'Going Underground' host Afshin Rattansi on Monday, Baud said that Israel is "not trying to solve the problem [of Hamas violence] on the political side, as we normally should for a counterinsurgency."
"They are doing it by brute force, meaning that they destroy people and that's the name of the game," he added.

bolivia coup
In the midst of the coup attempt, a new military command was appointed to remove General Zuñiga's authority over the armed forces
While the panorama outside the government palace is in chaos, inside the Casa Grande del Pueblo, a protocolary act was held headed by President Luis Arce.

In the midst of the coup attempt, a new military command was appointed: José Wilson Sánchez , Gerardo Zavala, as Air Force Leader and Renán Guardia Ramírez, commander of the Bolivian Navy.

With this new appointment, General Juan José Zúñiga loses all the authority of the Bolivian military commanders.

Comment: In just the last 6 months or so, the number of threats to world leaders, assassination and coup attempts, seems to have spiked:

Body of US diplomat found in Kiev hotel, no signs of violence found

Hilton Hotel in Kyiv
The unnamed embassy staffer was found in a room the Hilton Hotel in Kyiv , per various reports
The body of a diplomat from the US Embassy in Ukraine has been found in Kiev's Hilton hotel, the Ukrainian news outlet Strana reported, citing a law-enforcement source.

"At about 11 a.m. yesterday the body of a US Embassy attache was found in a hotel room. The body had no traces of violence," the source said, according to the report.

The source said the man came to Ukraine on June 15. Medical data provided by the US Embassy show he had a high level of cholesterol, according to the report. Strana had no further details.

Comment: The Daily Mail provides a few more details:
The outlet added that 'No autopsy was performed' and 'the body was taken by the US Embassy.'

There are between 100 and 200 US diplomats and military personnel in Kyiv.

The news comes as the European Union is expected to sign a security agreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Thursday, pledging to keep delivering weapons, military training and other aid to Kyiv for years to come.

The agreement will lay out the EU's commitment to help Ukraine in nine areas of security and defense policy - including arms deliveries, military training, defense industry cooperation and demining, according to a draft seen by Reuters.

The pact is intended to complement similar agreements sealed between Ukraine and its allies as it continues its defense against Russia's invasion.

Countries including the United States, Britain, France and Germany have sealed security pacts with Kyiv.
Whilst there have been a number of suspicious deaths of politicians and diplomats, on all sides, considering the point about 'elevated cholesterol', it seems more likely that this could be due to the experimental mRNA covid injection.

What if Americans targeted little boys and girls in Crimea?

Metals parts Crimea Beach
© New Eastern Outlook
It seems inevitable that American advisors/instructors in Ukraine helped Volodymyr Zelensky's forces target men, women, and children at beaches in Sevastopol with ATACMS tactical missiles supplied by Washington. Meanwhile, news of the cluster warheads (see at the Dzhankoi air base attack in April) reveals more profound implications.
"How can I save my little boy from Oppenheimer's deadly toy? There is no monopoly on common sense - On either side of the political fence..." Sting, Russians
Russians Love Their Children, Too

The geopolitical situation today is grim. This is the world we live in, a dangerous world where human beings have no value. In the United States, media propaganda has put a blanket over the public's head. Cluster munitions targeted at seaside resorts seem like something out of an ISIL playbook. The American administration has crossed the line. Russian President Vladimir Putin was in contact with Russia's social bloc and the military on June 23rd after the attacks. He is, no doubt, mulling over a military response. However, he has not as yet made an official statement. What we have is his press secretary's statement to reporters on the subject:
"You should ask my colleagues in Europe, and above all in Washington, the press secretaries, why their governments are killing Russian children." - Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov
Several weeks ago, U.S. President Joe Biden gave the go-ahead for US-supplied missiles to be used against targets inside Russia. Indeed, somehow, advising the American president must have warned that, sooner or later, the Russians would light somebody up over these escalations. The U.S. already has boots on the ground in Ukraine, and this is no secret. Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, said recently:
"Throughout this conflict, the DOD has reviewed and adjusted our presence in-country, as security conditions have evolved. Currently, we are considering sending several additional advisors to augment the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) at the Embassy."
So, the ATACMS operational-tactical missiles equipped with cluster warheads that murdered civilians vacationing on that beach near Sevastopol are on his head, on our heads, for allowing such leadership. Biden, all those who planned, processed, trained, or in any way participated in this terror attack are accountable. But the Western press will never allow the American people to understand what just happened in Crimea. The dehumanization of targeted people will continue to outshine our humanity. I needn't bring up the Gaza genocide, but I simply must. I must because it's all a test of how far a country's bullying can go.

Julian Assange: Free at last, but guilty of practicing journalism

Julian Assange
© Social Media
The United States Government (USG) - under the "rules-based international order" - has de facto ruled that Julian Assange is guilty of practicing journalism.

Edward Snowden had already noted that "when exposing a crime is treated as committing a crime, you are being ruled by criminals."

Criminals such as Mike "We Lie, We Cheat, We Steal" Pompeo, former Trump Secretary of State, who had planned to kidnap and kill Julian when he was head of the CIA.

The indomitable Jennifer Robinson and Julian's U.S. lawyer Barry Pollack sum it all up: the United States has "pursued journalism as a crime".

Julian was forced to suffer an unspeakably vicious Via Crucis because he dared to expose USG war crimes; the inner workings of the U.S. military in their rolling thunder War Of Terror (italics mine) in Afghanistan and Iraq; and - Holy of Holies - he dared to release emails showing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) colluded with the notorious warmongering Harpy Hillary Clinton.

Julian was subjected to relentless psychological torture, and nearly crucified for publishing facts that should always remain invisible to public opinion. That's what top-notch journalism is all about.

The whole drama teaches the whole planet everything one needs to know about the absolute control of the Hegemon over pathetic UK and EU.

And that bring us to the kabuki that may - and the operative word is "may" - be closing the case. Title of the twisted morality play: 'Plead Guilty or Die in Jail'.

The final twist in the plot line of the morality play runs like this: the combo behind the cadaver in the White House realized that torturing an Australian journalist and publisher in a maximum security U.S. prison in an electoral year was not exactly good for business.

At the same time the British establishment was begging to be excluded from the plot - as its "justice" system was forced by the Hegemon to keep an innocent man and family father hostage for 5 years, in abysmal conditions, in the name of protecting a basket of Anglo-American intel secrets.

In the end, the British establishment quietly applied all the pressure it could muster to run towards the exit - in full knowledge of what the Americans were planning for Julian.

ICC a 'Western hybrid war' tool - Moscow

The Hague-based International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for top Russian officials, Sergey Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov.

Moscow has denounced the Hague-based International Criminal Court's (ICC) decision to issue arrest warrants for two top Russian defense officials, branding the institution a mere tool of the West's "hybrid war" efforts.

The ICC on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for ex-Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and the current chief of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, accusing the two of committing "alleged international crimes" during the Ukrainian conflict.

Russia's Security Council has denounced as "void" the court's move, pointing out that its jurisdiction does not extend to Russia. The council said:
"The decision of the Pre-Trial Chamber of the ICC against the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu is void. This is just hot air, since the jurisdiction of the ICC does not extend to Russia, and [the decision] was made as part of the West's hybrid war against our country."
The two top military officials are accused by the ICC of committing "international crimes," namely "directing attacks at civilian objects," as well as "causing excessive incidental harm to civilians." The charges stem from Russia's campaign of strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which Moscow regards as dual-purpose strategic installations rather than purely civilian facilities.

Mission creep: How the police state acclimates us to being modern-day slaves

policestate
© Dees IllustrationsThe police state
"In a fully developed bureaucracy there is nobody left with whom one can argue, to whom one can present grievances, on whom the pressures of power can be exerted. Bureaucracy is the form of government in which everybody is deprived of political freedom, of the power to act; for the rule by Nobody is not no-rule, and where all are equally powerless, we have a tyranny without a tyrant." ― Hannah Arendt, On Violence
Like the proverbial boiling frogs, the government has been gradually acclimating us to the specter of a police state for years now: Militarized police. Riot squads. Camouflage gear. Black uniforms. Armored vehicles. Mass arrests. Pepper spray. Tear gas. Batons. Strip searches. Surveillance cameras. Kevlar vests. Drones. Lethal weapons. Less-than-lethal weapons unleashed with deadly force. Rubber bullets. Water cannons. Stun grenades. Arrests of journalists. Crowd control tactics. Intimidation tactics. Brutality.

This is how you prepare a populace to accept a police state willingly, even gratefully.

You don't scare them by making dramatic changes. Rather, you acclimate them slowly to their prison walls. Persuade the citizenry that their prison walls are merely intended to keep them safe and danger out. Desensitize them to violence, acclimate them to a military presence in their communities, and persuade them that only a militarized government can alter the seemingly hopeless trajectory of the nation.

It's happening already.

Macron is not going anywhere - PM

The French leader has ruled out resignation, claiming that the forthcoming parliamentary election is not a "vote of confidence".

French President Emmanuel Macron will remain in power "whatever the results" of the snap parliamentary elections will be, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal has said. Macron dissolved the National Assembly and announced a new vote for France's lower house of parliament two weeks ago.

The move was taken in response to Macron's Renaissance Party suffering a crushing defeat in the EU parliamentary elections as the right-wing National Rally (RN) party doubled its vote.

The first round of the polls to choose the new government is set to take place on June 30, with a second vote scheduled for July 7.

"The president will always be president, the only question still open is who will be the prime minister and what majority will govern," Attal told Le Parisien on Saturday, claiming that there will be "a before and after" the dissolution of the government on June 9.

Kenya 'withdraws' from IMF loan after nationwide protests; President Ruto praised by Biden for sending police to Haiti

President William Ruto
© AFPPresident William Ruto takes the oath of office at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani in Nairobi, Kenya, on September 13, 2022 during the inauguration ceremony.
The bill, which aimed to raise taxes by $2.7 billion, sparked nationwide protests that turned violent, leading to at least 23 deaths and extensive property damage, including the storming of parliament buildings.

Kenyan President William Ruto on Wednesday (June 26) declined to sign the contentious Finance Bill 2024 into law, sending it back to parliament. He said that the bill would be 'withdrawn'.

The bill, which aimed to raise taxes by $2.7 billion, sparked nationwide protests that turned violent, leading to at least 23 deaths and extensive property damage, including the storming of parliament buildings.

"I concede and therefore I will not sign the 2024 finance bill and it shall subsequently be withdrawn," Ruto reportedly told a press briefing. "The people have spoken," he added.

Comment: Interestingly this dodgy IMF deal, and a recent memorandum with the US-NATO, occurred alongside a deployment of Kenya's police to Haiti.

Note that this also occurs amidst a movement across Africa - and elsewhere, such as in New Caledonia - for kicking out Western colonial powers. And, in some cases, multipolar nations, like Russia, and China, whom are seen much more favourably, due to their track record of mutually beneficial deals, are taking their place:
Kenyan police are leaving for a controversial deployment in Haiti to take on powerful, violent gangs

Hundreds of Kenyan police officers were leaving Monday for Haiti, where they will lead a multinational force against the powerful gangs whose deadly violence spiked this year and helped bring about a change in government.

The deployment is controversial. The government of Kenyan President William Ruto is defying a court's ruling calling it unconstitutional. And critics have expressed concern about the long history of alleged abuses by police officers.

The 400 police officers are the first of the 1,000 that Kenya expects to send for the United Nations-led force in Haiti. Ruto's sendoff ceremony on Monday was closed to the media, but his office shared a speech in which he urged the officers to uphold integrity.

"We have mediated many conflicts and are currently engaged in resolving more," he said. "Don't let down the confidence the people of Kenya and the international community have in you."

A court case seeking to block the deployment is pending, but an initial ruling had called the deployment unconstitutional, citing the lack of a reciprocal agreement between Kenya and Haiti.

U.S. President Joe Biden, however, thanked Ruto for Kenya's leadership of the multinational force during Ruto's recent state visit to Washington. The United States has agreed to contribute $300 million to the force, but Biden argued that an American troop presence in Haiti would raise "all kinds of questions that can easily be misrepresented."

It's reasonable to be suspicious of what the US is hoping Kenya will achieve in Haiti.

More than 2,500 people were killed or injured in the first three months of the year in Haiti. The spike in violence began in late February and has displaced more than half a million people. Gangs now control at least 80% of the capital, Port-au-Prince and key roads. Trapped outside the country as the international airport was closed, Prime Minister Ariel Henry was forced to resign.

The most recent allegations by watchdogs against Kenyan police for using excessive force came last week, when two people died during anti-government protests. One protester was shot dead by a suspected plainclothes officer. The other was killed by a tear gas canister thrown by police.

Kenya's Independent Policing Oversight Authority is looking into police conduct during the protests in which more than 200 other people were injured.
