Hunter Biden sought to avoid registering as foreign agent in Chinese business venture

Hunter Biden suggested setting up a shell company to do business with a Chinese firm in order to avoid registering as a foreign agent, and to be able to bid on contracts with the U.S. government, according to documents from May 2017 obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

A day after sending the message, Biden arranged a meeting between his father, Joe Biden, and Tony Bobulinski, one of the prospective partners in a deal with CEFC China Energy, a Chinese conglomerate whose chairman had links to the communist regime in Beijing.

Hunter Biden wrote to Bobulinski on May 1, 2017, according to a message obtained by the DCNF:
"We don't want to have to register as foreign agents under the FCPA which is much more expansive than people who should know choose not to know.

"No matter what it will need to be a US company at some level in order for us to make bids on federal and state funded projects."
Biden appeared to be referring to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) as well as the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Biden did not explain in the messages why he thought the venture with CEFC would violate FARA or FCPA without the buffer of a U.S. shell company.

China to sanction US defense contractors supplying weapons to Taiwan

China said Monday that it will sanction U.S. defense contractors including Lockheed Martin and Boeing's defense division that are involved in Washington's sale of weapons to Taiwan.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the sanctions will also apply to Raytheon Technologies, among other "relevant American individuals" involved in supplying weapons to the small democratic state, which China claims as a territory.

The State Department last week approved the $1.8 billion arms sale to Taiwan of three weapons systems including sensors, missiles, and artillery.

"In order to safeguard national interests, China decided to impose sanctions on the American companies that were involved in arms sales to Taiwan," Zhao said at a press briefing. Zhao said Beijing "firmly opposes" the arms sales, which "severely damage Chinese sovereignty and security interests." He called the sanctions "necessary measures" for "those individuals and companies who behaved badly in the process of the arms sales" and called on the U.S. government to "stop arms sales to Taiwan and stop any military interaction with Taiwan."

Beijing has yet to outline the details of the sanctions.

With the Hunter Biden exposé, suppression is a bigger scandal than the actual story

Unprecedented efforts to squelch information about a New York Post story may prove to be more dangerous corruption than whatever Hunter Biden did with a crooked Ukrainian energy company.

The incredible decision by Twitter and Facebook to block access to a New York Post story about a cache of emails reportedly belonging to Democratic nominee Joe Biden's son Hunter, with Twitter going so far as to lock the 200 year-old newspaper out of its own account for over a week, continues to be a major underreported scandal.

The hypocrisy is mind-boggling. Imagine the reaction if that same set of facts involved the New York Times and any of its multitudinous unverifiable "exposes" from the last half-decade: from the similarly-leaked "black ledger" story implicating Paul Manafort, to its later-debunked "repeated contacts with Russian intelligence" story, to its mountain of articles about the far more dubious Steele dossier. Internet platforms for years have balked at intervening at many other sensational "unverified" stories, including ones called into question in very short order:

Comment: We may think the suppression story is the bigger scandal, however, the information keeps on coming and will outdo/outlast/outweigh the suppression, if pursued fairly, timely and squarely. Suppression and scandal compose one side of the scale. Information and laws create the other.

Did Kamala Harris illegally campaign outside a polling place in Ohio?

Kamala Harris was campaigning in Ohio on Saturday. There's been a lot of buzz about her hot mic moment when she asked an assistant "Are we in Cleveland?" before addressing the crowd.

As amusing as that moment was, it was another moment during her campaign stop that should be getting all the buzz.

On Saturday night, Kamala Harris's Twitter account posted video of the vice-presidential nominee outside of the Cuyahoga County election office in Cleveland, where voters were waiting in line to vote early. In the video you can clearly see she's using a microphone to speak directly to voters.
"Thank you for voting and voting early. Your vote is your voice, your voice is your vote. There is so much at stake. Don't let anyone ever take your power. The power of your voice is so important. You are going to make the difference. You are going to make the decision about your future, about your family's future. It is through the voice of your vote. And you have the power. The power is with the people, and you know that. That's why you're standing in this line today. and I just came to say thank you."

Comment: New rules are 'for Democrats only' to be made up as they go. There is nothing standard about this election and the ramifications of it has only just begun. Desperate times require desperate measures only limited by the thought police.

'Resist the blackmail': French companies brace for Arab boycott after Macron's 'radical Islam' comments

France's largest employers' federation on Monday urged companies to "resist the blackmail" over a product boycott by Arab countries as a backlash widens over Paris's hardened stance against radical Islam.

French President Emmanuel Macron has vowed to take the fight to Islamic radicals after the October 16 beheading of a history teacher who had shown cartoons of the Prophet Mohamed to pupils in a class discussion on free speech.

But his comments triggered protests in Muslim-majority countries at the weekend, with people burning pictures of Macron in Syria and setting fire to French flags in the Libyan capital Tripoli.

Emails reveal Biden family lobbied for 'nepotistic' presidential appointments AND received them

After the announcement of Schwerin's appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad, Owens emailed with Hunter to enquire if it was the same person. Or as she put it: "our Eric."

She followed up by asking how she could secure a position for herself or her mother, Valerie Biden Owens, to which Hunter replied:

"I don't know how much 2016 and nepotism plays into" the selection process.

Hunter Biden then pledged to consult with Joe Biden's Chief of Staff Steve Richetti about a potential appointment for his family members.

Roughly one year later, Valerie Owens was nominated by the Obama-Biden administration to be an Alternate Representative of the United States to the 71st Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The news flies in the face of the idea that Hunter Biden remained separate and apart from his father's work as Vice President - a claim often made by Joe Biden and his campaign.

Owens is the niece of Joe Biden, who, after a brief stint in the Obama White House joined Coca-Cola as a multi-million dollar lobbyist and government relations specialist.

Comment: It's Hillary Clinton all over again. Trust the media, Joe Biden is "not" a crook.

Venezuela announces effective medicine against Covid-19, UK's vaccine will not be ready for Christmas

Maduro

Authorities said that the drug "has shown 100 percent inhibition of virus replication in vitro."

Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro Sunday announced the discovery of a high-effective treatment capable of eliminating COVID-19 and pointed out that a drug will be presented to the World Health Organization (WHO) for certification.

The treatment, based on a molecule called TR-10, was designed by the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), which had been working on a cure for the past six months.

"this molecule has been tested for COVID-19, all the research has been done. This study lasted 6 months, resulting in 100 percent annihilation of the virus", Maduro said.

Comment: RT reports on the UK health ministers announcement that the vaccine is 'not there yet' - with one death and a number of people who fell ill during the trials, this announcement was predictable. This also means it's highly likely local lockdowns - or worse - will continue through the Christmas holidays:
The British minister of health has rebuffed claims that a UK vaccine could be widely distributed in 2020, adding that his "central expectation" is for roll-out in the first half of 2021.

Speaking on Monday, UK Health Minister Matt Hancock told BBC Radio 4 that he did not anticipate a vaccine to be ready by the end of 2020, dispelling hopes that life could return to normal by Christmas.

"We want to be ready in case everything goes perfectly but it's not my central expectation that we'll be doing that this year, but the programme is progressing well, we're not there yet. "

It already has proven to be far from 'perfect'.

The minister was responding to reports in the Sun that National Health Service (NHS) staff could be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca shot in the coming weeks and that a London NHS trust is preparing to receive stocks of the vaccine from November 2.

When pushed on whether NHS staff could receive the vaccine this year, he said: "I don't rule that out but that is not my central expectation."

The Mail on Sunday also claimed that the government was readying itself for mass roll-out before Christmas.

Hancock claimed that preparing to roll out the vaccine and actually having an approved vaccine ready were two very different things. "I would expect the bulk of the roll out to be in the first half of next year."

As yet, no jab, including the one developed by scientists at the University of Oxford and British pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, has been declared safe and effective in Europe or America.

The UK, like many countries, has prior agreements with AstraZeneca, securing access to the vaccine in the event it passes the required trials. The company announced on Monday that their vaccine had generated a strong immune response in elderly trial participants, increasing hopes that the AstraZeneca vaccine will be effective for the most vulnerable.

The world's first Covid-19 vaccine, developed by Moscow's Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, entered circulation in Russia in September.
Bear in mind, if the UK's aim was to help people through vaccines then both Russia and China have one available. There's also the medication hydroxychloroquine. But this isn't about helping people, this is about a much more nefarious agenda: And check out SOTT radio's:

Text messages reveal VP Biden and wife colluded to hide Hunter's actions with a certain minor

joe biden hunter text messages minor child
Yesterday we reported on former VP Joe Biden who snapped at a reporter who dared to ask him about his son Hunter. But VP Biden can't get out of this one.

Biden did not let WYOU reporter Andy Mehalshick get through his question before snapping during an event on Saturday.

"Questions and controversy continue today about Hunter Biden, your son," Mehalshick began.

Comment: Of course the Bidens Sr. would want to quash the situation, consequences to children be damned. He was their principle bagman for all the shady foreign deals Creepy Joe was making.

Putin says American presence in Afghanistan is beneficial to Moscow's interests, rubbishes claims of 'Russian bounties to Taliban'

Moscow has long been supportive of the presence of American troops in Afghanistan as it believes they contribute to the region's stability and ultimately aid Russia's national interests, President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday.

"I'll say it once again: we have no need to fight the American presence [in Afghanistan]," Putin said in an interview aired on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

The president was responding to a reporter's question about assertions in US media, using anonymous sources, insisting Russia had paid bounties to Taliban militants to kill American soldiers. The interview was recorded for a show called 'Moscow, Kremlin, Putin.'

The New York Times initially published the claim about the 'rewards' - only to eventually admit it has zero evidence to prove its accusations. The Pentagon has repeatedly said it has found no proof of such a practice, it had said it planned to "get to the bottom" of the 'story.'

However, the lack of evidence did not stop some US politicians, including Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden, from reasserting the allegations. He revisited them during his latest - and final - debate with President Donald Trump on Thursday night.

It was "strange" to hear such assertions, Putin said, given that harming US troops in Afghanistan would, in the end, harm Russia's own interests.
We have supported the US presence in Afghanistan from the very outset. We supported the UN Security Council's corresponding resolution.
"The US presence in Afghanistan still contributes ... to stability in that country," the president said, adding that, in this sense, it does not run counter to Russia's own priorities. On the contrary, the withdrawal of American personnel could lead to "many risks," even if it created conditions for an intra-Afghan reconciliation, he opined.

Merkel's CDU party postpone conference to elect leader claiming 'coronavirus surge'

german elections
© DPANorbert Röttgen, Armin Laschet and Friedrich Merz are contenders to take over as CDU leader.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel's CDU party said Monday it would push back a congress planned for early December to elect a new leader due to a surge in coronavirus infections.

The conservative party's top brass will reexamine the situation in mid-December to determine its next steps, general secretary Paul Ziemiak said.

"Going by the current situation, a congress with attendees on December 4th would not be allowed," said Ziemiak.

The CDU was still hoping to hold an in-person congress at a later date rather than a video conference, but acknowledged that the online format might be the only option if the pandemic cannot be brought under control.

Comment: The US is going ahead with its voting for the Presidential election, and Russia was able to proceed with its regional elections, so it's odd that these elections are being postponed. Or could it be that the coronavirus hysteria is simply providing them with a convenient excuse for delaying them?
