Banks escalate terror against the people

Shall we try to be 100% compliant, or end this abuse once and for all?

Great Britain, the ideological and strategic headquarters of the still undead Western Empire (formerly British Empire) has been something of a marvel to behold over the recent years. During the Covid 19 pandemic, or whatever that was, Britain implemented one of the world's harshest and longest lasting lockdowns. Even as the government paid behavioral psychologists to formulate fear-maximizing messaging strategies, top level government officials enjoyed themselves at private parties in sure knowledge that there was no risk to their health. Some of them crowed at their power to make people abide by arbitrary, unscientific measures they were imposing. We're all in this together (LOL)!

Leading the "free world" in Ukraine

British establishment has also been the world's most zealous cheerleader for war in Ukraine and the source of the most rabid Russophobic narratives. In fact, it was Britain's Prime Minister Boris Johnson who basically announced the coming war in a speech to the dignitaries in - where else - the City of London in November 2021:
We hope that our friends [in Europe] may recognize that a choice is shortly coming between mainlining ever more Russian hydrocarbons in giant new pipelines and sticking up for Ukraine and championing the cause of peace and stability.
About that same time Britain sent additional troops and equipment to Poland and announced that the UK would enhance its permanent presence of troops and tanks in Germany. Shortly thereafter, the outgoing head of the UK Chief of Defence Staff, General Sir Nick Carter stated that the UK military would have to be ready for war with Russia.

Only a few months after his speech foreshadowing Ukraine war, Johnson would take it upon himself to wreck any chance of peace. In March 2022, during the relatively low-intensity phase of Russia's "special military operation," a negotiated peace deal was about to be signed between Russia and Ukraine, brokered by the government of Turkye. At that point, Boris Johnson rushed to Kiev to make sure peace didn't break out and persuaded agent Zelensky not to sign the deal.

DOJ will not defend Trump as immune in E. Jean Carroll lawsuit

Trump Carroll
The Department of Justice will not defend former President Donald Trump as immune with respect to defamation claims from writer E. Jean Carroll.

The DOJ announced that it would not longer argue Trump's immunity on Tuesday, after previously certifying that Trump made allegedly defamatory statements denouncing Carroll's claims of sexual assault while in his official capacity as president, The Hill reported.

The agency "has determined that it lacks adequate evidence to conclude that the former President was sufficiently actuated by a purpose to serve the United States Government to support a determination that he was acting within the scope of his employment when he denied sexually assaulting Ms. Carroll and made the other statements regarding Ms. Carroll that she has challenged in this action," it announced.

Tuesday's announcement represents a reversal of the DOJ's past position, which supported Trump's immunity claims.

Poland wants Ukraine to admit guilt for Nazi-linked WWII massacre

Accountability for the mass killings of Poles by Ukrainian nationalists during World War II is essential for reconciliation between the two nations, a resolution passed by the lower house of parliament in Warsaw has said.

The document was adopted by lawmakers in the Sejm on Tuesday, as Poland commemorated the victims of wartime atrocities in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia 80 years ago. Members of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), the militant wing of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), were the main perpetrators of the crimes, which Poland considers an act of genocide.

"In the attacks by OUN and UPA units, supported by part of the local Ukrainian community, over 100,000 Poles were murdered, often in a very brutal way," the Polish MPs said. "Several hundred thousand people fled... fearing the same fate."

Musk believes 'ESG is the devil' and he's not the only one

In a June 10 Tweet, Elon Musk, the embodiment of the electric vehicle (EV) revolution, declared that "ESG is the devil."

ESG stands for the "environmental, social and governance" principles which dictate that certain aspects of a company's work must be taken into account when deciding whether to invest in it. An investment-worthy company must have a good score on things like climate change, sustainability, energy efficiency, diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as corruption and bribery prevention, among others.

Musk's outburst was sparked by the shockingly low ESG scores assigned to Tesla by S&P Global, a ratings and market intelligence heavyweight. Tesla earned 37 points (out of a possible 100, where anything above 70 is considered "good" and anything below 50 is deemed "poor") on its ESG scorecard while Philip Morris, the global tobacco giant, received a commendable score of 84. Similarly, as the Washington Free Beacon discovered, the London Stock Exchange gave British American Tobacco a score of 94.

Perhaps, lighting up 20.3 billion tobacco products daily worldwide does wonders for the environment and sustainability.

Turkey's Erdogan betrays Putin

Erdogan Zelensky
© Turkish PresidencyTurkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan meets with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky in Istanbul, Türkiye, July 8, 2023.
On the cusp of the NATO Summit in Vilnius, Turkey's President Erdogan dropped a couple of turds in the Russian punch bowl — he broke the agreement he made with Russia to imprison AZOV leaders who were taken prisoner at Mariupol in May of 2022, he endorsed immediate membership in NATO for Ukraine and he signed a deal to expand drone production in Ukraine.

Erdogan's moves have been greeted with anger in Moscow and strengthened the position of hardliners who have long insisted that Erdogan is not to be trusted. It does make Putin look both foolish and weak for trusting Erdogan to uphold his side of the bargain to keep the AZOV leaders penned up until the war in Ukraine ends. This is not going to galvanize Putin's opponents to force his removal, but it does bring glee and merriment to Western leaders eager to see Putin damaged.

What the hell was Erdogan thinking? Let's start with the ridiculous agreement to "expand drone production" in Ukraine. This is typical Erdogan corruption. His son-in-law controls the production of these drones and stands to benefit financially if Ukraine is able to build more Bayraktars. Only a couple of problems. First, the drone sucks. It has been proven to be a tactical flop on the battlefield of Ukraine. Second, who in their right mind believes that the Russian military will allow those factories to operate? If production facilities, through some miracle, are erected then Russian hypersonic missiles and FAB glide bombs will be sure to make a visit. The only value of this agreement is the optics — it is a tacit vote of approval for Zelensky just when the Ukrainian military offensive is sputtering towards oblivion. Erdogan can show up in Vilnius as claim, "hey, I'm helping our little cocaine sniffing comedian, what are you doing?"

Ukraine lost over 26,000 soldiers during offensive - Russia

Shoigu

Ukraine's armed forces have so far lost more than 26,000 soldiers and more than 3,000 pieces of military hardware during their counteroffensive that supposedly began on June 4, Russia's defense minister has declared.

"The adversary's losses beginning from June 4 have reached over 26,000 servicemen and 3,000 items of various pieces of armament," Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told reporters on Tuesday.

According to Shoigu, Russian forces destroyed 21 aircraft, 5 helicopters, 1244 tanks and other armored vehicles, 17 Leopard tanks made by Germany, five AMX tanks made by France, and 12 US-built Bradley infantry fighting vehicles during the reported period.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed 914 special vehicle equipment, two air defense systems, 25 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 403 field artillery guns and mortars.

Comment: For the most part, even Western commentators are talking as though the offensive is, basically, over; and, without admitting it outright, that it was a failure.

UN blocking export of Russian fertilizer, asks Moscow to extend Black Sea grain deal in return for SWIFT access

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has proposed to Russian President Vladimir Putin that he extend a deal allowing the safe Black Sea export of grain from Ukraine in return for connecting a subsidiary of Russia's agricultural bank to the SWIFT international payment system, sources told Reuters.

Russia has threatened to ditch the grain deal, which expires on Monday, because several demands to dispatch its own grain and fertilizer abroad have not been met. The last two ships traveling under the Black Sea agreement are currently loading cargoes at the Ukrainian port of Odesa ahead of the deadline.

A key demand by Moscow is the reconnection of the Russian agricultural bank Rosselkhozbank to the SWIFT international payment network. It was cut off by the European Union in June 2022 over Russia's invasion of Ukraine. An EU spokesperson said in May the EU was not considering reinstating Russian banks.

North Korea fires its first ICBM in 3 months after making threat over alleged US spy flights

North Korea missile
North Korea test-fired its first intercontinental ballistic missile in three months on Wednesday, days after it threatened "shocking" consequences to protest what it called provocative United States reconnaissance activity near its territory.

Some experts say North Korea likely launched its developmental, road-mobile Hwasong-18 ICBM, a type of solid-fuel weapon that is harder to detect and intercept than its liquid-fuel ICBMs. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un previously called the Hwasong-18 the most powerful weapon of his nuclear forces.

The missile, fired from North Korea's capital region around 10 a.m., flew about 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) at a maximum altitude of 6,000 kilometers (3,730 miles) before landing in waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan, according to South Korean and Japanese assessments. They said the missile was launched at a high angle in what observers say was an apparent attempt to avoid neighboring countries.

West pushing 'neocolonial agenda' on world stage - Lavrov

Lavrov
© Ramil Sitdikov/SputnikRussian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, July 11, 2023.
The US and its allies are attempting to cling onto world hegemony against the tide of a multipolar international order, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday.

"We do not define the current phase of international relations as a new Cold War," Lavrov told the Indonesian outlet Kompas.

"The issue at hand is about something different, namely, the formation of a multipolar international order. This is an objective process. Everyone can see that new globally meaningful decision-making centers are growing stronger in Eurasia, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America."

These countries and their associations are seeing success because they promote "values such as national interests, independence, sovereignty, cultural and civilizational identity and international cooperation," in line with the global development trends, Lavrov explained.

'Missing' Biden corruption case witness Dr. Gal Luft details allegations against president's family in extraordinary video

Gal Luft biden corruption witness
Israeli professor Dr. Gal Luft laid out his bribery allegations against President Biden’s family in an extraordinary video filmed in an undisclosed location while he’s on the run.
The "missing witness" from the Biden corruption investigation, Israeli professor Dr. Gal Luft, has laid out his bribery allegations against the president's family in an extraordinary video filmed in an undisclosed location while he's on the run.

In the 14-minute recording, obtained exclusively by The Post, the fugitive former Israeli army officer claims he was arrested in Cyprus to stop him from testifying to the House Oversight Committee that the Biden family received payments from individuals with alleged ties to Chinese military intelligence and that they had an FBI mole who shared classified information with their benefactors from the China-controlled energy company CEFC.

The self-proclaimed fall guy says he provided the incriminating evidence to six officials from the FBI and the Department of Justice in a secret meeting in Brussels in March 2019 — but alleges that it was covered up.
