Handling modern weapons, mining roads, and blowing up cars, as well as carrying out sabotage and terrorist attacks. The scale of the "training programme" that foreign military instructors came to Ukraine with is impressive. They trained not only the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also militants of the nationalist battalions.

First Sign

During the celebration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Day in December 2014, then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said:

"The Ukrainian Army is already capable of withstanding the largest military power on the continent. Only a year of emergency development of the army made it possible to revive the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

But the pace of this evolution did not suit Kiev, so already in March 2015, the UK, the US, and Poland indicated their intent to provide Kiev with military instructors.

About 300 servicemen of the US 173rd Airborne Brigade were among the first to arrive at the Yavorov training centre in the Lvov region to train employees of three battalions of the National Guard. The US ambassador to Ukraine admired the pedagogical talent of his countrymen by posting a video of the "final exam" on social networks.

People aged under 40 are being urged to have their hearts checked because they may potentially be at risk of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.

The syndrome, known as SADS, has been fatal for all kinds of people regardless of whether they maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle.

SADS is an 'umbrella term to describe unexpected deaths in young people', said The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, most commonly occurring in people under 40 years of age.

Comment: Anyone who can't see what's going on here is probably not the sharpest tool in the shed. The recent slate of articles appearing in the mainstream press about previously under-reported 'conditions' that make people drop dead unexpectedly is simply priming the audience to accept these deaths as possible. A few years ago, healthy adults dropping dead for no known reason was unheard of. What's changed?

I wrote this essay some weeks ago, but I kept waiting to publish it til tragic mass shootings were no longer in the news. But that day looks as if it will never come, so I am publishing it anyway, with grief and mourning for those lost to gun violence, as we must nonetheless have this difficult conversation.

The last thing keeping us free in America, as the lights go off all over Europe- and Australia, and Canada - is, yes, we must face this fact, the Second Amendment.

I can't believe I am writing those words. But here we are and I stand by them.

I am a child of the peace movement. A daughter of the Left, of a dashingly-bearded proto-Beatnik poet, my late dad, and of a Summer of Love activist/cultural anthropologist, my lovely mom. We are a lineage of anti-war, longhaired folks who believe in talking things out.

By the time I was growing up in California in the 1960s and 1970s, weapons were supposed to have become passe. When I played at friends' houses in our neighborhood in San Francisco, there were posters on the walls: "War is Not Healthy for Children and Other Living Things." Protesters had iconically placed daisies in the rifle barrels of unhip-looking National Guardsmen.

We were obviously supposed to side with the daisies.

The war in Ukraine is only taking place because of the ignorance of the Westerners of what was happening in Ukraine and because of a series of misunderstandings and misinterpretations. The Westerners, focused on themselves, unable to think like their interlocutors, kept making mistakes. Finally, when the military operations end and the Russians have achieved their publicly stated objectives from day one, they can even persuade themselves that they have won. In the end, the only thing that matters to the West is not saving human lives, but having the conviction that they are on the right side of history.

The war in Ukraine is interpreted very differently depending on whether one is Western or Russian. Each person's previous experience conditions their interpretation of words and events. In fact, no one reacts to the same things and seeks the same information as the others. In the end, the two camps no longer have the same perception of reality. This succession of misunderstandings and misconceptions leads to a misunderstanding that can unintentionally lead to major conflict.

Comment: Meyssan offers an interesting take on the the extremity of perceptions, thus actions, between the West and Russia.

© Russian MoDBritish taxpayers' money is being spent in Ukraine to produce convincing footage of the regime's success against Russian forces, thus ensuring continued support for sending more taxpayers' money to British firms profiting from the Western proxy war against Russia in Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry released on Friday what it claimed to be staged combat scenes filmed on behalf of the Ukrainian government and paid for by the British government. The two short clips appear to be raw footage of what looks like a war movie.

The filming of the videos took place on May 28 in the town of Meshkovka in Ukraine's Nikolaev Region, the ministry said. A train station of the same name is located on the outskirts of the provincial capital in the south of the country.

One of the videos shows two armored vehicles facing the camera. At the command of a woman, who appears to be the film director, the backdoor of the closest vehicle opens, and a group of armed men in uniform wearing red armbands starts pouring out. Several others rise from the grass around the second vehicle in the distance and start moving forward, their weapons raised.

Newly-opened Dallas gay bar "Mr. Misster" hosted a "child friendly" drag show Saturday, where signs read "It's not gonna lick itself" and "I licked it so it's mine."

"A 'child friendly' drag show is being hosted today in Dallas, TX at a gay bar. Here are two of the signs on display," tweeted journalist Tayler Hansen.

Hansen posted videos of the event. One depicts a drag queen inviting children to share the stage with the performer.

Comment: Another way society is 'losing it' at the expense of the next generation (should we still have one!). As we warned you ten years ago, the 'sexual revolution' was always going to end up here. They want to rape your children, and for you to not only voluntarily hand them over, but to watch and participate in the act.

When Davos and Bilderberg messenger boys look at The Grand Chessboard, they realize that their era of perpetual free lunch is over

Discreetly, as under the radar as a looming virus, the 68th Bilderberg meeting is currently underway in Washington, D.C. Nothing to see here. No conspiracy theories about a "secret cabal", please. This is just a docile, "diverse group of political leaders and experts" having a chat, a laugh, and a bubbly.

Still, one cannot but notice that the choice of venue speaks more volumes than the entire - burned to the ground - Library of Alexandria. In the year heralding the explosion of a much-awaited NATO vs. Russia proxy war, discussing its myriad ramifications does suit the capital of the Empire of Lies, much more than Davos a few weeks ago, where one Henry Kissinger sent them into a frenzy by advancing the necessity of a toxic compromise named "diplomacy".

Comment: Escobar seems to imply that China/Russia would respond militarily to the US 'overturning the chessboard' financially. This is unlikely, as that would entail M.A.D. Instead, the US is likely to capitalize - pun intended - on China's exposure to American debt (as the world's largest holder of US Treasury bonds) by seizing Chinese foreign reserves (in the event that Beijing retakes Taiwan by force because the US has provoked it into doing so - same M.O. as we recently saw in Ukraine).

This is why the US has been so fiscally irresponsible in recent decades: its owners don't care because, as far as they're concerned, 'no one is going to take our place'. The above comment from a top Chinese economist about how they are "not ready for a hot [financial/trade] war as the US and Chinese economies are so closely linked"... is precisely why the System Controllers are going to exploit that weak point.

Maybe it is time the Collective West does something about its educational system.

Watching the performances of Russians and Western officials, one immediately notices that the much-touted and ultra-expensive "education " provided in the West today is actually not up to par.

The Russian actions in Ukraine revealed a West where leaders remain emotional juveniles who continue to REACT jerkily to Russia's deft moves. That's when they are not busy projecting their own values and behavior onto the Russians.

Not only have the Russians vastly outplayed the West militarily, economically, and geopolitically, the actions/reactions of the West have boomeranged mightily to Russia's advantage. The hyperinflation ravaging the West is just one example.

The exposure of the impotence of the much-touted NATO is also glaring for all to see; the Russians have made a mincemeat of what was touted as the best army in Europe, trained and equipped to NATO's standards.

It is like every move by the Americans and their vassals in the EU was calculated to benefit the Russians.

This happened because they were ill-taught, and irrational resulting in pure emotional lash outs.

There's simply no logic behind them.

A good example is how Western sanctions resulted in Russia earning jumbo income from selling less of its oil and gas.

In addition to always being on top of their game, Russian officials always come across as well-educated, well-informed, well-mannered, sophisticated, cultured, and respectful. Western officials, on the other hand, attack the world as haughty, naughty, ill-mannered, ill-educated, uncultured, provincial, and narcissistic imbeciles.

They lack the elementary decorum necessary to engage peers in respectful manners. Ok, superciliousness, fueled by racist arrogance, might partly explain why they behave so, but we cannot discount the possibilities that they simply lack the education, the culture, and the home training required for civilized behavior, especially in encounters with other cultures.

The question needs to be asked how the Collective West ended up with the current gaggle of clowns holding positions of responsibility?
