Seven people perished Monday morning in a road accident involving a bus and a truck at Zambezi near Winda highway motel along the Nakuru Nairobi highway.
15 other people with major injuries were rushed to Kenyatta hospital.
Speaking from the scene of the accident OCPD Felix Munyambu said the bus traveling from Western Kenya hit a truck that had stalled on the road.
Meanwhile, a 3-year-old boy was over the weekend killed and 5 other people seriously injured when a car lost control and plunged into a vegetable kiosk in Ruiru town.
The victim died on arrival at Gertrude hospital while the survivors were taken to various hospitals.
Confirming the incident, Thika OCPD, Patrick Mwakio, said the driver of the fateful vehicle, lost control as he negotiated a corner.
