In a fresh new Israeli military escalation on the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, four people have been reportedly killed and few others wounded.

Palestinian medical sources said that among those killed was a 17-year-old teen in the northern refugee camp of Jabalya, who was hit by tank fire.

The sources added that three others, two in Jabalaya and a third in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis.

A number of other people have been reportedly wounded during the Israeli army attack on the northern Jabalya camp, as two others were wounded in Khan Younis.

Palestinian security sources said that several Israeli tanks and armored vehicles swept earlier in the day into the vicinity of the eastern cemetery of Jabalaya, just close to the Israel-Gaza border lines.

The sources said that the incursion into Jabalya was accompanied with heavy tank fire and that this fresh attack continues up to writing this article.

Earlier in the day, the Palestinian sources confirmed that an Israeli drone fired at least one missile towards fighters of the ruling Hamas party and the Islamic Jihad group, in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis.

A Hamas fighter was killed, another wounded along with two others of the Islamic Jihad.

Witnesses said that Palestinian resistance fighters attempted to strike back against the invading Israeli troops, as armed clashes broke out.

The said Israeli military escalation on the ground comes one day after Israel turned down a Hamas ceasefire offer, mediated by Egypt, demanding Hamas to free the captured Israeli soldier and stop arms smuggling from Egypt into Gaza
