PHOENIX -- Just days after Mesa police announced two unsolved killings and a sexual assault were linked by DNA, a fourth case has been added to the list of crimes tied to a serial predator.

Investigators have also released details about the suspect, who is described as an Asian man with a medium build between the ages of 25 and 35.

Victims describe him as 5 foot 6 inches tall to 5 foot 10 inches tall, with a neat, clean-shaven appearance. He has short black hair and may have a scar under his left eye.

Mesa detectives confirm they do have a sketch of the serial predator but are not releasing it to the public at this point.

A Mesa Police Department spokesperson says the sketch is for officer use only while they continue to gather information and to ensure its accuracy.

The Phoenix attack occurred in November 2007 and linked by DNA evidence to the same suspect from the Mesa attacks.

In the Phoenix attack, a 35-year-old woman was abducted from 7th Street and Osborn Road, sexually assaulted, and then left on the side of the road a few blocks away.

Two women in Mesa were killed at the hands of the strangler; a third woman escaped after being sexually assaulted.

Investigators say all four cases are forensically linked by DNA. Investigators are using the Combined DNA Indexing System to see if other cases could be connected to this serial predator.

So far the suspect's DNA has not been found in a criminal database.

DNA evidence from an August sexual assault in Mesa connected that crime to the November 2004 slaying of Alisa Marie Beck, and the killing last October of Karen Jane Campbell.

"He has to be stopped, before he does this again, he's ripping families apart," said the sister of one of the murder victims.

She asked ABC15 not to reveal her identity due to concerns for her own safety.

The sexual assault victim said she was pulled into a car while walking in Mesa on the afternoon of August 16. She was driven to a home where she was sexually assaulted, Mesa police Detective Steve Berry said.

The woman was able to run from the home naked before she dressed and flagged down a cab. She went home and called police.

A sexual assault exam performed on the woman allowed officials to gather DNA evidence, which then linked the case to the serial predator.

Of the two other victims, Campbell's naked body was found on a Mesa roadway in October. Beck's partially clothed body was found in an alley in 2004, about five miles from where Campbell was found.

Berry said the Mesa sexual assault and kidnapping of the surviving victim was linked to the killings late last week.

He said it has taken five months to link that case to the killings because of the backlog of DNA evidence at crime labs.

Mesa police are hoping someone may have seen the kidnapping.

The department also would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the partially clothed victim running away from where she was assaulted or from the cab driver who picked her up.

Anyone in the area of Main and Horne in Mesa on August 16, 2007 when the abduction happened could have information to help in the investigation.

Berry said the woman had no idea where she was assaulted, likely due to the distressing nature of the situation. "That cab driver could be crucial because that could tell us approximately where she was," he said.

Mesa detectives are waiting on the results of several DNA samples to determine if other cases may be linked.

Other Valley agencies are checking cold cases to figure out if those crimes may be tied to the serial predator.

"We are searching as far back as 2002 for unsolved violent crimes to see if any other case is linked," said Phoenix Sgt. Andy Hill.
