Authorities with the FAA continue to investigate the crash of two small airplanes in McCall.

The crash took place late Friday night on the runway of McCall's municipal airport, forcing it the airport to shut down until late Saturday. The crash claimed the lives of three people, including McCall Public Works director Bill Keating, 52, and two of his grandsons, ages 1 and 6x.

A third grandson of Keating's, also in the plane, was taken to a Salt Lake City hospital for burn treatment. The pilot of the other plane, Justin Mooney, survived with only minor injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway
