According to prosecutors, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted. The materials are currently being sent to the General Prosecutor's office to determine further action.
The authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol on March 16th, 2014, held a referendum on reunification with Russia. It was attended by more than 80% of eligible voters. The voting result on the reunification with Russia - 96,7% and 95,6% respectively. On the 18th of March of the same year the President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the Treaty accepting the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol into the Russian Federation, and on March 21st it was ratified by the Federal Assembly.
